Tips

What we learned in beta, feel free to add more as I don't
remember much at the moment.
[li]Do not sell quest equipment. Instead, use Evenstone to
salvage it. This will give you Sunlight/Moonlight Archeum Dust,
or even if you're lucky Archeum Crystals. These are key crafting
materials and are very very valuable.[/li]
[li]Especially to free players: You don't have to open coin
purses. Your labor can be spent more wisely.[/li]
[li]Galleons go faster in North-South direction and slower in
West-East. If you want to outrun a Galleon in your Clipper you
should run either East or West[/li]
[li]You don't have to overachieve every quest but there will be
quests that say: collect 10 flowers or 5 mushrooms etc.
Overachieving those only takes a few more clicks and are totally
worth it. You can collect the relevant herb even if it's not
glowing blue.
[/li]
[li]Not owning land doesn't mean you can't farm. There are 4
types of public farms for different mats:
[li]Farm; Rice, Barley, Potatoes, Carrot, Onion, Cucumber,
Chicken[/li]
[li]Nursery; Grapes, Hornbeam, Apple, Lemon, Fig, Avocado[/li]
[li]Ranch; Rice, Barley, Chicken, Duckling, Gosling, Turkey[/li]
[li]Stable; All basic mounts[/li]

Decide which class you want toplay early, and stick with it.
While you can change your chosen classes at any time, the new
class you choose will be significantly under developed, leaving
you at a disadvantage.
Crafting generates XP and can be a good way to assist the
leveling of undeveloped classes.
Mage + Melee builds are tending to not work out too well ans it
is difficult to equip effective gear for them, manage their
resources and find an effective enough playstyle.
You DO NOT have to buy every skill in a skill set - just wait
until the ones you want are unlocked (usually by level).
A quote here from the Ten Ton Hammer website:
"BUILD BASICS
There are a few primary skill sets that sort of define your
playstyle. Archery for using bows, Battlerage for melee DPS,
Sorcery for ranged DPS, Defense for tanking, and Vitalism for
healing. In any build, you should only take one of these skill
sets.
Then, you mix it up with something else. The second skill should
be your support skills. So Shadowplay for DPS, for instance,
gives you the ability to move around the battlefield easier with
spring, stealth, and different leaps.
The last skill should be Auramancy. It’s just too good not to
take on most builds. Immunity, get out of stun, teleport, a
pull, and a shield are all some of the aspects of Auramancy and
they help a ton."
