Fencing Schools biggest advantage over other schools is the
parry bonus you can get. Parry is awesome because it makes you
not get hit, same with dodge but when you dodge, you lose some
initiative. With parry you simply dont get hit. That's why this
build focuses on stacking parry.
Build:
(Thanks to Lydia Fry for picture)
Control: 3
Defense: 8 (Full)
Offense: 5
Black Powder: 3
For killing enemy captain, you will need your most damaging
skills slotted at first 3 slots of your toolbar. For crew, you
need a wide arc. Some debuffs along the way are also nice but
they shouldn't cost too much initiative or you will run out. In
case you run out, there is a skill that gives you some
initiative. Your pistol is also good for knocking down to get
you some time. That is good when you need some healing So your
toolbar should look like that:
[1] Whip-[2] Flick-[3] Redoubtment-[4] Attack au Fer-[5]
Knockback Shot-[6] Perfect Parry-[7] Recover Guard-[8] Combat
Medicine
Those are the skills that you will use during the fight and
where they should be. There are also some buffs that you use
before the fight that are very important:
Wall of Steel-(Group) Precision-Sure Footing-Stance: Defense
You can place those anywhere you want and use them at the
beginning of a fight.
How to fight:
James Boozeneeded probably has a detailed explanation of this
in another topic. Other than those, what you do for this build
is simple; keep pressing [1]-[2]-[3] combo. At the beginning of
fight you should [Ctrl]+[5]. When your guard gets around 3/4,
use [7]. When your initiative gets around 1/4 press [4]. If your
guard is gone; use [8] around 3/4 of your hp. And in case you
need to run, press [6]. Practice makes perfect!
Equipment:
Sword: Tiger's Whisker(Fishing)
Crusader Sword(Knights Templar questline)
Vengeance(Pit Fight)
Pistol: Corsair's Pistol, Bloodstained (Bey's Retreat Epic)
Recalibrated Blunderbuss (Royal Society exchange)
Musketeer Pistol (Point-a Pitre town boss)
General 1: Crusader's Mail (Besieged Tortuga)
Dutch Chainmail (Seasonal Exchange)
Chain Shirt, First Rate (Fleet drop)
Hidden Chestplate, Steel (Very rare fleet drop)
General 2: Gendarme's Boots (FTU exchange)
General 3: Mayan Sword Grip (Oranjenstad, not sure)
Mancatcher's Loop (Havana daily exchange)
Clasp of Pacal (Fortaleza de Luz)
I don't have all the items in game but those are the best ones,
If you have something that could work, tell me and i will add
it. Keep in mind that the focus is parry.
