Introduction: BIG Ben

Gday all!
I'm BIG Ben ... (obviously). My gaming started way back in the
days of the Sega Mega Drive. I can hardly remember some of the
games from back then, but the one standout was the NBA games. I
have played countless game since then and have forgotten more
than I remember. My first foray into MMO's was the legendary
Motor City Online. Still to this day, the single greatest car
racing game I've ever played. While I was no legend, the
atmosphere of the game was what completely captured my
imagination. Sometime after that I became totally hooked on
Guild Wars and would play that every spare minute I had. At some
point in there I stumbled across the PotBS Beta and successfully
applied to join the testing. I was involved in that for a short
while until I lost my way and moved on to other things. All
through this time I've played dozens of Playstation games,
primarily sports sims: NBA Live, Madden NFL, NHL, A little MLB,
Tiger Woods golf, Gran Turismo and on and on... I've also played
MANY pc games as well. A large portion of my time was dedicated
to Virtual Skipper where I played 2, 3, 4 and mostly 5. This was
my first introduction to the use of voice communication software
(Ventrillo at the time and later on Team Speak).
Other PC games (off the top of my head) that I've played are
some of the GTA series, Dungeon Siege, Dragon Age, a bit of
Skyrim (not sure why I never got into it much I loved the small
time I did play it). As with a lot of games my interest in some
waxed and waned along with my time spent in them. I usually
commit all of my energy to one game at a time until I've
overdosed on it and something else captured my interest. At the
time of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie release, I was
naturally inspired to check out what had happened to that pirate
game I vaguely recalled playing way back when. I knew that it
had been pay to play upon it's release (which turned me off
playing it then) but I discovered that it was now free to play,
so I checked it out and was hooked immediately. It's one of the
games that has had me coming and going for years (for various
reasons). I spent a long time there basically only doing PvE
until I needed a change and joined the MoD society there. The
people I met there were fantastic and made the game fun for me
again. And the inspired me to start getting into PvP. Something
I wish I had done MUCH earlier!
Just recently, things have been changing in and around MoD. And
the result is that the MoD society has joined the Rejected
Outcasts online gaming community which you and I are now a part
of. We are collectively spreading our wings and supporting many
different games all at the same time. As a result I have been
making an effort to support the community by entering all the
free games that we are currently involved in. I have made a
character/profile in each of them to assist in bolstering our
numbers in each. The first of these was World of Tanks. I fully
expected to not like the game and really totally suck at it. But
I followed our fearless leader willingly and surprise, surprise,
I really enjoy playing it. It is my latest gaming obsession and
I'm actually starting to suck a bit less at it...sometimes. ;) I
have also made accounts in War Thunder, Neverwinter and SWtoR
(where I had an old account on a different server, but I made a
new to join MoD there). There are a few games that I will
continue to return to when the desire arises. And as long as
PotBS, VSK are playable online, I'll continue to return to them
periodically and also Dragon Age is always a favourite to
replay.
That’s about all I can plonk on here for now, I'll catch you
guys online!
P.S. Apologies for the wall of text, I won't be offended if you
didn't read it and will appreciate it if you did :)
