Conquer the map!

Come on guys, polish off your ships, round up your crew and come
win the map...this time for sure. :P

Well, we are well and truly on our way to the map conquering
with a great start to this map. Today the pirates attended 3
port battles and won them all, a fantastic effort by all who
attended and all who sat yawning for a couple hours getting them
flipped. Was a great defensive battle at MT, we sank all 17
Dons on the open sea, was an epic effort.
We almost lost Captain Morris with his 'bravery' but, the Google
and Zilveren did a mammoth job saving his arse!
Let's keep it up guys, pirates for the win.!

So far, the only aggressive nation this map apart from us is the
British. The defence of MT vs Spain has put them off attacking
us. British are trying to win by his on the weakest nation,
France. Today, there is an opportunity for Pirates to take
Turtling Bay. Hitting one ship building port. Taking it out will
hurt Brits a lot. Sunday we can take St Johns (their 2nd and
most important ship yard). Winning here could also prevent Brits
showing in force vs the French one hour later.
St Johns PB is at Savage Cliffs however, a map favourite for
national fleets with big rates. To win there we need good
company and good heavy ships and with commitment to a hard
battle. Extra points do give a battle winning diversion tactic a
good chance there though.

The Turtling Bay port battle was one of the best we have
attended in a long time. The MoD group lead an awesome charge
through the middle of the lolbrit line with Google's group at
the rear of their line, Moul's group towards the front and our
frigates blocking any chance of escape. We lost our Treason and
Wenden that very bravely smashed through the lolbrits and lead
us to our eventual win. 11 Brits were sunk on the open sea and
well done MoD our group got 5 of those kills. The remaining few
Brits ran or hid in fort or town, we waited for town to open and
easily took this in avcom.
