What would you say your biggest personal flaw as a Moderator?:
Sometimes i let people go and just tell them not to do it again
when it could have been a kick or a short ban.
Choose one time that you handled a difficult problem as
Moderator and the outcome was positive (In Detail):There were
two people that were being accused of minging all day, I was in
this sit for about 20 minutes or more and i have been asking
around almost the entire time of the sit for witnesses, after i
finally got 3 people to come forward and confess about them they
were finally given 2 hour bans each, it would have been longer
but being a moderator means you only get 2 hour limit depending
on the server.
Choose one time that you handled a difficult problem as
Moderator and the outcome was negative (In Detail): I was
running around as swat patrolling when someone just kills me out
of nowhere, so I banned him for 60 minutes for RDM, well it
turned out the the guy did not rdm and he was instead running
from the cops, but I never knew that he was fleeing because he
was never wanted, which was the swat/cps fault for not wanting
him, so i banned him because i never knew he was fleeing from
the cp when he killed me, so he instead got a 1 hour ban for rdm
which was not justified, and i could not unban him, a mistake on
my part.
What have you done personally for the server? (on the forum or
in game): I have invited some people to the server.
Write 3 paragraphs detailing why we should choose you for the
position(Each paragraph must have at least 5 sentences):
1) I have been moderator on another server for about a month now
and i know from that experience that moderators are extremely
underpowered compared to admins, that is why i asked Maui for
permission to make an admin app and skip mod. Moderators have no
real way to find out if someone is minging besides prop logs,
multiple witness's words, or if they admit to it. By becoming an
admin I would have access to more logs which would help me tell
if someone is lying or not, and I would be able to help in sits
better.
2) ]I enjoy going to sits and help others, that is the whole
reason why I am making this application now. Becoming admin
would be a huge step for me, not just because I would have
access to the powers that it come with, but because I have never
been an admin on any other server in the past, my only
experience is being a moderator on one other server. I have
proved there that I do not abuse, although some of the choices I
have made could be questioned due to the amount of evidence i
can collect on a single player who is being accused of breaking
the rules.
3) I am a very nice person, I easily keep my cool in sits even
if the other person is very disrespectful, I have never had a
bias kick or ban because i did not like the other person. I have
kicked friends before simply because they broke the rules, I
always tell them what they did wrong and how to correct it,
unless that person is an obvious minge who RDMed two people
right in front of me, in that case they get banned. Having
friends on the server while being mod/admin can be a problem
because you will be inclined to help out your friend which could
be a bias kick or ban, I am not a bias person and stated before
that I have had to kick friends before simply because they broke
the rules.
