srry ive been in-active lately, got alot on my plate atm
anyway im here to talk about derpy right now.
If you havn't heard (tho you probly have) hasbro re-released
"the last roundup" they re-voiced Derpy, and censored her name.
It sounds horrible, they didn't even put any effort into it.
for one i feel slapped in the face. I could not feel more
insulted. my anger is stagering and the fact that you arent
seeing the word CENSORED all over this post is a testimate to my
self control, which is barely standing at the moment, because i
am incredibly angry.
the only thing that is keeping me from full fledged rage is
this.

I've heard of this several hours ago, and I signed that
petition. Why would Hasbro do such a thing? Or, iTunes, if they
were the ones who did that.
Derpy is not offensive, and I think she would be a great
addition to the series, as a background pony. She only lived for
one speaking scene, and now she's just gone. >:(

in truth she isn't gone all together. Odds are she will resume
the roll she had in the first season.
From what i gathered from the speculation of others (this is
just conjecture after all) the removeal of her name, while those
were found her offensive had a roll to play, the bigger roll is
the fact that copy writing the name derpy is something that is
difficult to do. Not sure why but that is what ive read from
the blogs of others.
Really what angered me was not the removal of her name, i could
live with that, or even if they changed it from derpy to ditzy
what really made me mad is they "fixed" her eyes and changed her
voice. [Content Deleted]
if they had even tried to get a decent voice actor to redub her
voice, that may have quelled my anger a bit
but they didnt
they didnt even try.
her voice is monotone, because the voice actress is not mimicing
a real voice like the original did but trying to mimic the work
of another actor. That is like a clone of a clone. It degrades
and becomes low quality.

im a bit better informed now then i was.
i am dissipoint that they changed her in that episode but it
looks like she will remain a part of the show. she'll still have
her derp eyes but wont be voiced. so the walled eyed princess
lives, even if they censored her in the one episode.
and rumor seems to say the DVD version wont be censored, IDK
about that i hope its true but i believe that is just wishful
thinking.
over at Derpyhooves.com they had an interview with the writer of
the episode and all questions were answered, so i got the closer
i needed, even if im not entirely happy with it.
also on another note
anything you see online about Yamino being the force behind the
censorship is false, don't flame her or believe baseless rumors
and trolls.
