       The wildlings oasis adventure
   DIR By: Minyaagar
       Date: February 17, 2026, 5:22 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It was another morning for levana- since their find at the
oasis- her parents had found a home they could be comfortable
in.. a tree house she absolutely loved. Farid was showing signs
of his pregnancy- a shock to all of them- but made Levana more
than excited to have a sibling. What was left of her mother’s
things was given to her as they sat on a shelf.. - a book of
stories levana started writing herself that her mother had told
her, and her arm brace that would become hers by the time she
       was 18.
She rushed down almost knocking her father- ghost off his
feet.”Levy what did I say about running- what if it had been
papa?” He asked as she flushed.”I’m sorry! I just wanted to get
to my ripper sky..” she said sheepishly. The man
sighed.”breakfast first then you can go play.” She heard as she
made a wide smile to cheer.
Life was rough for a while- having to wake up and her mother
gone from the world. Ghost didn’t know all the songs or stories
her mother would tell her- though Farid tried to make up for
that part by making stories of his own.
But it wasn’t the same- but what they did do- was take what was
left of her things and made a small grave near their new home as
       she’d never be forgotten.
Over time levana adjusted and was starting to try to make
friends.. beast had been a close one.
Once she finished eating she greeted her ripper to snuggle it.
The two would run off in the oasis- the place large enough to be
safe and still explore. She grabbed a stick and looked at
sky.”okay now boy- fetch!” She said to throw the thing far to
       watch it go retrieve it.
       —fin—
Beast had slowly adjusted to life in the new oasis, but even in
the new place the fanatic children, having been dubbed wildlings
in his mind, hadn't changed a bit. They still liked to chase him
around and tease him mercilessly. Some of the terranian kids had
even started joining them much to Beast's dismay.
This morning wasn't much different. He'd eaten quickly, then
gone off to practice his shifting on his own a little ways away
from the kids tents. He'd thought none of them would find them.
       He had been utterly wrong.
"Ooh beastie kins! Here you are!"
The young child's exclamation had his car ears pin back and he
raced off as fast as his little paws could go. He inadvertently
got between the young raptor's stick toy and drew its attention.
The creature's excited roar had his fur standing on edge as he
let out a frightened meow and dashed up the closest tree as far
as high as he could go.
Unfortunately he had no idea there was someone already there and
ended up clawing the young Ezma's back as he climbed up onto her
       head, shaking with fear.
       ----
It had been a productive morning. Ezma had finished all of her
chores and morning training with her siblings and was now
snuggled up a tree, nice and cozy with a book. While it wasn't
the one Eden had given her, it was a book on tuning.
The relaxing time was swiftly interrupted as she felt claws jn
her back and let out a grunt in pain before the frightened
kitten was on top of her head. She reached up feeling the fur
before looking down at the mean boys as they called for her to
       give them the kitten.
"Fu.ck off," Ezma growled before using a bit of lightning tuning
to send a clear message of what could happen if they kept
pressing. Once gone, the redhead slowly pried Beast from her
scalp to cradle the boy. "It's okay, they are gone now," she
       cooed.
       ----
“No sky!” Levana started to race after her Ripper- her eye
glared a bit at a boy.”you all need to leave him alone Lux” she
said to get an ugly look back.”shut it half pint.” Her lips
formed a frown. She skidded to a stop when the boys were
       demanding her friend.
She heard Ezma’s retort and the lightning that made her jump as
well, her hands going around sky. “Hey- is beast okay? “ she
called up the tree. Her hand rested on her rippers snout.
       ----
Beast clung to the red hair, his nerves settling a bit at the
girl's response to the wildling's demands.
Seeing her unleash lightning had him dig into her scalp a bit,
and then releasing it once they'd all run off.
Feeling her lift him off and cradling him close, had him purring
a bit and relaxing against her.
When he heard Levana's call he slide from the red headed girl's
arms and moved slightly down the tree to shift into his teenage
form. "I-I'm okay Levvy," he called out softly and settled on a
different branch, warily eying the baby raptor.
       ----
A pout came to Ezma's lips when the kitten pulled away before a
look of shock came seeing the kitten turn into a boy. "Why were
you running if you can shapeshift? Or can you only turn into a
kitty?" She questioned, her shock overriding her usual shy
       reaction to strangers.
       ----
Levana made a soft relieved sigh. Her head moved to see the
small redhead pop out. Her ear flickered a bit.”oh no he can
turn into a bear too- he done it once that I seen.” She said to
grin. “Your big sis’ little sis huh?“ she said seeing Eden’s
resemblance.”names levana but most call me lev or levy. This
here’s my friend sky.” She said with a smile.
       ----
Beast crouched lower on the branch, his ears flicking back at
       the girl's question.
"I can't control my shifting all the time. Especially when...I
get anxious or afraid," Beast admitted, in a voice that sounded
much younger than he looked. "Takes a lot of focus, I'm working
       on it,"
His eyes turned to look down at Levvy when she spoke up about
him changing into a bear. "That was mostly out of desperation,"
       he muttered.
       "Wh-what's your name?"
       ----
"Ohhh, so you need more practice.... I'm Ezma. I don't know a
lot about shape shifting, but... you could come and practice
your shape shifting while I practice my tuning... maybe... with
all the people, you could find a teacher?" She suggested taking
       in the two.
       ----
“Mm there are other shifters- but beast is considered unique-
not many can just shift in different animals.” Said levana
remembering what she overheard Ian saying when she went to find
       beast one time.
“Maybe you can see how they feel when they shift?” She asked
       beast.
“Ezma.. pretty name.” She said as her tail flicked again. As she
got to know them- her ear turned.”oh wonderful- beast stay up
there! They went and got ayyub again-“ she said as she leaned
against the tree. Anytime it seemed they were outmatched- they
cried to ayyub or ghost. Since she was there they were trying
       ayyub.
       —-fin—
"Ohhhhh could be fun helping you in figuring it out. I can bring
you to my secret training area!" Emza offered, more excited
about the prospect of mayhem than her shyness.
The fanatic leader was quite cranky over being dragged away from
a discussion he had been having with Teal'c over the hero to
       tend to 'his children'.
"Levana, what is going on?" He questioned prompting three of the
kids to begin rapidly trying to tell their side of things.
       ----
Beast nodded at the girl's picking up on him needing practice.
He got a thoughtful look when she mentioned he could join her
when she did her practice. "A teacher would be helpful," he said
       thoughtfully.
He flushed a bit when Levvy spoke up explaining that he was
       different.
       "Yeah..maybe," he murmured softly.
Beast's ears flicked hearing the voices before Levvy did and
shrank back again when the kids showed up dragging Ayyub with
       them.
He covered his ears, his tail flicking in agitation as the
wildling's started chattering and insisting that all they wanted
       was to play with him.
A sudden loud whistle had them shut up and Beast looked up in
surprise to see Zarik had shown up.
"Beast is not obligated to play with you little wildlings. He's
trying to learn how to use his abilities, you need to leave him
alone." Zarik said rather solemnly. "If he wants to play, he'll
let you know. Now, let's go and get you lot focused on something
else," he insisted motioning the little kids away from the treed
       Beast.
       ----
Levana saw ayyub to straighten up hearing the one already
telling his side. Levana opened her mouth to tell ayyub getting
frustrated at the boy talking over- it was then Zarik came in to
chastise the boys as one finally got the voice to complain about
       Ezma and her lightning tuning.
“She didn’t hit you- it was a warning to back off!” She said her
tail frizzing noticeably. “You guys never listen- it didn’t even
take beast turning into a bear for you to listen- “ she made a
sound that clearly sounded like a growl. Her hands balled into
       fists a little.
       —-fin—
An exhausted sigh left Ayyub before Zarik intervened. The
fanatic giving his lover a grateful look. "Calm yourself Levana,
we... have to show patience... with time they will learn." He
told her. "And if they don't, well, the chores will stay done at
       least," he dryly joked.
"Try and stay out of trouble..." He told her before briefly
glancing at the shifter and Terranian before deciding they
weren't his problem to follow after Zarik.
A rather unimpressed look came to Ezma. "Why have so many kids
if you are just ganna let them run wild?" The tween criticized,
used to the stern hand of most parents she had met.
"Well, they are gone, oh! I can show you that place and maybe
later we can go back to my house and I can look in the library
and see if we have any books about shifters like you?" She
       suggested.
       -fin-
Zarik was a bit impressed to hear the young tuner girl had so
much control over lightning to not even hit the wildling kids.
"I think we may need to start these wildling kids of yours on
lessons," he suggested to Ayyub. "Letting them run around on
their own isn't going to cut it anymore. It's a good thing the
young Terranian has so much control," he murmured to Ayyub.
Beast was relieved when they were all gone, and grateful for
Levvy and Ezma for helping him.
He blinked a bit surprised at Ezma's suggestion of going back to
her house. "Uh, yeah okay. Can Levvy come too?" He asked as he
       slowly climbed down the tree.
       ----fin----
Levana heard Ayyub telling her to calm herself.. granted the
girl did want to give one of them a good hit. But she
unclenched her hands and her tail smoothed out.”alright Uncle..
       “ she said softly.
Course being told to stay out of trouble earned the typical eye
roll of the young beast kin girl before she went by her.
“Honestly it was how things use to be.. before I met beast the
tribe was very different.” Said Levana. “Honestly at my age-
that whole lot and I would have been shoved into the desert to
survive without the adults.. if we made it back then training
would of begun-I’ve seen the older kids go through it before
they decided their way of life was wrong- glad they did..” she
       said.
It been a learning process of how it meant to really child rear
       outside of keeping them alive.
Once she saw beast on the ground she noticed sky.”no!” She
ordered for the thing to get by her side when she told it to
heel.”and sorry about sky.. “ she said to rub its head a bit as
she heard her friend asking for her to come too.
       —fin—
Ezma jumped down from the tree and looked over the two before
shrugging. "Sure, I don't see why not, come on this way," the
redhead told the pair as they made their way to her home hidden
behind a waterfall. She made no acknowledgement of the adults
there and dragged the pair to the library within.
It didn't take all that long for Ezma to pull out every book
they had on shifters and then brought the pair to her room to
start reading to her new friends.

Beast couldn't help but shudder a bit at Levy's explanation of
what her people had done in the past. Just how did they expect
kids to survive in the desert without any sort of training? It
       sounded barbaric to him.
"It's good that they changed that," he muttered and then eyed
       Sky warily.
"It's okay, sky is still young. You're doing a good job of
training," he said, staying a good distance from the little
       raptor.
He fell in behind Ezma, following the other girl's quick walk.
Beast blinked a bit, surprise showing on his face as she led
them straight past the terranian ruler, Snow, Adan and Ezra. His
ears pricked a bit when he heard an unknown voice asking the
       others about him.
"Oh you don't have to worry about Beast. He's a good kid, still
recovering from being a captive and stuck in cat form for years
       on end," Snow answered.
Beast's ears flicked as he gazed on awe around the library. He'd
never seen this many books before! Then Ezma was leading them
into her room, which had him glancing around curiously before he
sat on the floor cross legged. It was a relief that Ezma did the
reading, though he felt like it was a bad thing that he couldn't
read himself. There was just so much he'd missed out on learning
and it felt like he'd always be working to catch up to everyone
       else.
       -----
“Yeah.. before long I’ll be able to ride him.. he’s growing
pretty quickly.” She said to nuzzle the thing. She followed to
pause for a moment as Eden noticed Ezma rushing by with beast
she gave a warm smile that prompted Levana to rush in and by.
She decided she would make some snacks for the group to snag
Melita that tried to follow the kids.”no you don’t.” She said.
Levana listened as her tail shifted- her pet laying on her legs.
The sound of a door would open and a plate placed on a stand by
it with drinks and food. “So it’s a feeling- when you said you
felt desperate that you changed to the bear- what were you
       feeling then?” She asked Beast.
       —fin—
When the pair settled so naturally in her room and Eden brought
them snack, it felt absolutely perfect. Training and learning,
while hanging out with other kids and potentially appeasing her
brothers on having a social life. "Thanks Eden!" She told the
woman before going back to the book.
"Well, we need to figure out what triggers it, you can turn into
a cat easily, what do you feel when you do that? What makes it
different from a bear or bird?" Ezma questioned more to herself
as she flipped through the book in her lap.
       -fin-
Inwardly Beast hoped Sky would grow out of chasing him, but knew
that wasn't likely. It was the nature ofa raptor, they were
       predators after all.
Beast's tail flicked and his ears swiveled slightly at Levana's
       question.
"I was more worried about you and protecting you than trying to
get away like I normally do," he replied, playing with his hair
       out of nervousness.
He glanced up at Eden coming in, but stayed silent, unsure of
what to say. He didn't really know much about Eden yet, nor has
he ever really talked to her before.
"I feel like my cat form is just a natural state for me.
Whenever I get scared or need to get away fast, it's that form I
take. I've only ever taken the beat form because I saw one and
how it scared people off," he admitted. "I'm not sure what other
forms I could take. I've never really tried anything else,"
       ---fin---
Eden gave a rather wide grin at being told thank you before
she’d slip out as the wolf girl’s tail perked up at the smell of
snacks. “That’s the thing you were feeling protective.” Said
Levana.”bears can be protective of their young so.. you had the
same mindset for me.” She continued.”maybe if you had the
thought to fight back.. or the instinct.. you’d turn into a
wolf- or even a lion?” She questioned. “Think I heard there was
a shifter that could change into all sorts of birds- I remember
him saying he enjoyed the feeling of freedom - and the urge to
escape allowed him often to change to some bird.. but if he
needed to scout or something a hawk he would turn into. “ she
said her tail shifted a bit more to wag. She took a bite of the
cornbread that was baked with the honey in it to make a sound as
if it was good. Her hand going to a drink.
