       Cultivated wilderness
By: Minyaagar Date: February 16, 2026, 10:54 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It was another day for Quill as he worked a bit at his farm. It
resided a fair ways out in the oasis’ wilderness- old stories
claimed the land was the result of the hero’s death. The soil
being enriched and allowing to be used to grow plants and more.
Quill’s family was one of many that owned that land for
       generations.
His hound dog clementine made a bark as he chuckled and
scratched the top of her head, and the one pup he had kept.
“I’ll be back Clem- be a good girl.” He said as he got the pup
to get them inside - watered and fed. He would go to his old
beat up truck as he got his keys. He had to go into the city for
the library. He noticed something he wasn’t use to and figured
he needed to read up on pests to find out what he could use than
the manufactured poison-he drove off without a thought as he
       made his way into town.
It took some time- but he managed to the library to get out and
brushed his hair out of his face as he adjusted his shirt to
make his way into the place and began to browse the section
meant for plants. His fingers trailing on a book that mentioned
tuning- his brow furrowed a bit from what his father had told
him as he went to pull it out and look at it.
       -fin—
When the bar was closed or Ezma was scheduled off of work, the
woman often found herself at the library. She remembered a time
when the library was just the books she had managed to collect
because the things were so rare in the desert. Every book in
this building Ezma had already read a thousand times. The
memories of the day her bookshelf had became so full that Aziz
had suggested she have a whole building just for her books. She
more vividly remembered the day that became a reality as she
shared her books with the oasis.
These memories and so many more of her time there filled her
mind as she gazed at the bookshelf through her masked eyes. How
many times had she rebound some of these books? She thought this
as she pulled out the book of lullabies with the most recent
worn cover. It would need to be rewritten again. Thankfully in
this day and age, she could make her books into digital copies
and didn't have to do it by had over and over anymore. She still
       felt the cramps sometimes.
       -fin-
The man flipped through the pages before he gave a soft sigh to
decide to read it, he granted pause when something red and
colorful like a tomato caught his eye. He noticed the eyes
       covering.
His eyes scanned the books a little before he decided to
approach the red head.”uhm.. ‘scuse me miss.. but I’m a lookin’
for the gardening section? I ah- need to take care of some
critters that are tear in’ up my vegetable garden. Just without
the pesticides.” He said as he wasn’t sure how to ask.
       —fin—
A sudden voice calling out to her jerked Ezma from her thoughts
to look at him. "Don't like pesticides?" She questioned before
motioning for the man to follow after her. "I know the perfect
book for you," she mused before leaving him off to the section
of books on gardening. Her delicate looking fingers plucking the
right book from the shelf like she had gone for it a thousand
       times.
"This should be able to help you." She told him with a friendly
smile. Her hidden eyes giving the cute guy a proper look over,
one of yhe the benefits of wearing an eye covering.
       -fin-
“Not much- I don’t trust them none.” Said the man as he followed
the red head. He didn’t know why- but he felt a bit a draw to
her - course his eyes traveled to her ass if all places as he
       followed.
His eyes jerked up when she turned around with the book.”thanks
miss..” he said and went quiet.”May I ask a question? It might
be a touch personal so you don’t have to answer- but.. your eye
covering.. can ya tell me why you wear it? My pa did wear one
for a while but- he died before he could explain why he wore
it.” He said as he blinked at her a little.
       —fin—
When the man had taken the book, Ezma had expected that to be
the end of the conversation, so was mildly surprised when he
asked her a more personal question. The idea the man could be of
terranian blood was quite curious and made her more inclined to
       try and educate him.
"Well, I am Terranian, one of the few that follow the old
traditions. See, our eyes undergo a change when we complete a
right of passage. It causes the world to be too intense without
a covering because it allows you to see auras. Gazing into
another beings eyes is also considered deeply intimate, so only
really those especially close ever get to see." She explained.
"There is a lot more to it... Given your pa wore one, there is a
good chance you are part terranian too, I could teach more later
if you like, I'm Ezma by the way," she added.
       -fin-
“Terranian- and auras? Sounds intense..” he said as he looked at
her softly.”I wouldn’t mind more on what a terranian is-
honestly I thought I was human.” He said with a chuckle.”but
been noticing things that be mighty different.. you can call me
Quill.” He said with a proud puffed look.”I can give ya my
number- i just.. mostly got text and phone calling ...” He said
       sheepishly
“An’ I can see why- mean after all they say eyes are windows to
the soul.. an all..” he said rubbing the back of his neck
nervously. “This might seem too forward but- I can give an
address if ya wanna come over- it’s a quiet farmers place- got a
friend that comes by sometimes, an a couple of dogs?” He said
and shifted foot to foot.”I can make a meal in exchange so I can
pay ya back somehow.” He said as he played with the book a
       little.
       —fin—
A smirk crossed Ezma's lips as the man rambled on,the sound of
his country drawl pleasing to her ears. It reminded her of the
boys who used to try and vye for her attention growing up. Gosh
       she missed those simpler days.
"You don't need to pay me back... but... you can call it a date,
when do you want me to come over? It... is a lot to unpack if
you are truly interested in this.... it gets intense," she
warned. It had been many lifetimes ago that Ezma had taken on a
student or even considered such a thing, but something about
Quill told her he needed to know his ancestry.
"I'm actually off of work today... don't exactly have any
plans," she told him, her smirk growing. She found the man
interesting, and for Ezma finding interest in *anyone* was
       unheard of.
       -fin-
The country boy perked up at the sound of her calling it a
date.”I wouldn’t mind around afternoon- I can make us a hot meal
and ah- we can talk and I can learn.. and I can handle intense.”
He said with a look as he folded his arms a bit.
The smirk gave him a blush that showed off his freckles some.
“Plus I get to learn about what my pa was- “ he said as his duo
toned eyes glanced at the red haired woman. “Just so you know
clementine is my older dog- she a sweet thing’ the rascal of her
pup though rover might jump on ya- I’m still training the little
bugger on how to behave.” He said to chuckle. He took a small
notebook out of his pocket to write down his address and
directions, and was sure to put his number as well.”mind if I..
get your number just in case?” He asked as he tore off the paper
       to hand it to her.
       —fin—
Seeing Quill blush like that had Ezma's smirk growing even
wider, taking the paper from him before taking the notebook and
pen as well, writing out her phone number and handing it back
over. "Sounds like a plan, I will see you at noon," she mused.
"Good luck with your best problem," she added with a laugh.
She folded up the paper she had been given and put it in her
pocket for safe keeping. Once she had finished in the library
for the morning, Ezma headed home, sitting down at her kitchen
table, half eaten sandwich as she looked over the note that had
Quill's adress and number, contemplating what it was about the
man that drew her in. Maybe it was because he remembered her of
the old ways in some aspects. She was soon getting ready and
when noon was approaching she headed out to the adress listed on
the note, texting the man before she had left that she was on
       her way.
       -fin-
The reclusive introverted writer had just finished another
chapter in his book when he heard a bark from outside his small
cottage in the woods. He smiled softly and went to slide the
door open, his eyes warming at the sight of Clementine waiting
for him, her tail wagging happily, a pup a third of her side
       sniffing around the grass nearby.
"Well hello there sweetheart, coming by to show off your pup?"
He questioned moving down to sit on his steps and petted the
hound dog gently between the ears eliciting happy sounds and
several licks from the oversized tongue to his face.
Nehuen chuckled, not in the least bit bothered by the drool.
"Now how'd you get out here? I'm pretty sure Quill wouldn't let
you wander around on your own."
It was a bit of a mystery how Clem seemed to be able to escape
from his friend's house so often. Nehuen had the feeling the dog
was just smarter than most dogs.
"Come on, let's get you back before Quill finds you missing," he
said and moved to pick the pup up in his arms and started down
the well worn dirt path that led to his friend's farm.
He headed to the back door and knocked, calling out. "Quill,
your hound Houdini got out again. I think she wanted me to see
her pup. Do you have a minute to talk? It won't take much time,"
Nehuen straightened his glasses and pushed his long hair out of
his face while he waited for an answer.
He frowned realizing just how caught up in his writing he'd
gotten. It was around noon meaning he'd worked through breakfast
and probably would have gone until dinner if he hasn't been
distracted. Well at least he had Clementine to thank for pulling
       him out of his work.
       -fin-
Quill took the notebook back and blushed as he smiled softly.
“Thanks again Ezma..” he said as he smiled softly. He drove his
way back to his home, he would place the books down and would
think of what to make for a meal.
He was in the middle of cooking the meal when his phone went
off. He made a smile that shone a bit before hearing a knock at
his back door. He heard the man call out to sigh and open the
back door.”sure come in- I don’t got long neither- I got a lady
friend coming over.” He said with a rather big smile.
“Git in here Clem- naughty girl.” He said with a face as the dog
huffed and went in with pup in tow.
As his usual behavior he would serve up some sweet tea for his
friend before saving the steak meal he was making on the
stove.”so how goes it Nehuen? Need some more repairs?” He asked
as he often didn’t mind help fixing things on top of his own
       work.
       —fin—
Nehuen raised an eyebrow as Quill opened the door and mentioned
a lady friend coming over. "Oh? Good for you." He replied with a
       genuine smile.
A small part of him inside protested his one friend in the world
finding someone. He knew that Quill normally didn't open up to
many people so was happy that he'd found someone.
He chuckled at Clem's reaction to being gently chided for
escaping and headed into the kitchen to settle, leaning against
one of the counters watching as Quill moved around his kitchen.
He accepted the glass of tea, sipping on it and willed his
stomach from rumbling at the smell of the cooking food.
"It's going well. Nearly close to finishing my next book.
Just..wanted to ask if you'd mind getting a few books from the
library the next time you go. I've got a list to go off of,"
Most thought his staying away from the city was an odd
eccentricity, when in actuality it was more due to how sensitive
he was to large groups of people. With his strong sense of
empathy, too many emotions tended to overwhelm him. Somehow
though with Quill he didn't seem to have much problems with the
other's emotions. Probably because Quill was such a calming and
       steady type mentally and emotionally.
"Oh, and I could use an extra set of hands later this week. I've
got a roof that needs patching. If there's anything you need
help with just let me know," he added.
       --fin--
The drive out time Quill's place to longer than Ezma had
expected but deeply enjoyed seeing a side of the oasis that she
had long missed. Sure is was more developed than in her youth,
but it was more wild than in the city. Her truck rumbled to a
stop as she pulled up, throwing the old junker into park before
she got out and went to knock on the front door and knocked
       loudly.
She then texted Quill, in case he wasn't in the house,
       `I'm here, open up.`
       -fin-
“Quite the book worm you are I don’t mind- got a few books to
try and take care of those pests.” He said as he went to the
oven to pull the potatoes out.
“I can do - may need to worn a schedule- my lady friend is
teaching me about something my old man told me about- if I can
learn it-“ he said as he finished up a bit more.
“If there’s anything it’s making sure Clem comes right back from
her escapeds swear that hound dog is too smart for her own good”
he said to hear his phone.
“She’s here!” He said having not heard the door to fold the
towel and tossed it on the counter. He went to open the
door.”hello Ezma.. come on in- I got a friend that came by- Clem
got a habit of getting out and finding him.” He said to chuckle
as river came tumbling around the corner and aimed for Ezma to
yap and tug at her pant leg.
“Rover!” He said and frowned.”down boy!” He said to scoop the
pup up.”lots of energy the young one.” He said to chuckle a bit.
       —fin—
"having a pest problem? I could help with that if you'd like.
Maybe try redirecting them elsewhere," Nehuen offered, thinking
of what might work to disrupt the pests.
His interest grew hearing that Quill's new friend was going to
teach him something. "Oh? What are you going to be learning? I
always do that," Nehuen chuckled a bit thinking fondly of the
       escapist hound.
His ears pricked at the knock to the door and a wave of nervous
and eager energy hit him from both people before Quill announced
the lady had arrived. Nehuen braced himself against the counter,
       a hand holding his forehead.
Now was probably a good time to make his escape, he thought.
That was until he sensed there was something much different
about the woman that Quill was talking to.
Nehuen slowly made his way into the front room and then regarded
the red haired woman silently trying to assess what was
       different about her.
"You're one of the ancient ones," he said sounding far calmer
than he felt when he realized what she was. "Hello, I'm Nehuen,
Quill's friend and neighbor," he greeted her with a slight bow
of his head. "Please don't be offended, I don't shake hands with
many people. I'm a rather strong empath, touching others can be
overwhelming. It would probably be even more so with you being
       what you are,"
Nehuen gave a nod to Quill. "I should go, leave you two to your
       lesson,"
       --fin--
"Hello, Sounds like Clem needs a job if she is bored enough to
escape, most smart hounds find themselves a job if you don't
give them one," Ezma mused as she walked in to immediately be
attacked by the puppy. Seeing the way he interacted with the pup
put a grin on her stretched across her lips.
The mentioned friend soon made his appearance, clocking her as
an ancient. It got a bit of a frown out of her at being called
old but was more impressed he could so easily see that. A laugh
left her when the man introduced himself and then apologized
about not shaking hands and explaining.
The man was rather adorable. "More offended at being called out
as old, thought the new age thing was it was rude to point out a
woman's age," she teased in a flirtatious way. "See you around,"
she added with a wink before her attention went back to the sexy
white haired cowpolk holding a fucking puppy.
"So, lunch?" She questioned as she pet the squirming puppy.
       -fin-
“Mm I think she just makes sure the bookworm doesn’t hole up too
much.” He joked a bit before hearing his friend.
He chuckled as his friend was chastised. He watched his friend
go and watched her pet the puppy.
“Hope you don’t mind steak, got some salad too and potato..
sweet tea on the counter- course- if you feelin’ adventurous got
moonshine.” He said with a lopsided smile.
He passed by a photo of his parents, a woman with green hair and
clearly holding a flower, the man with long white hair and a
       black eye tie grinning himself.
He figured next time he’d invite his friend for a hot meal- he
never could trust that his friend ate at times.
He released Rover as the pup went to mess with its mother as he
       went to the table.
He pulled ezma’s chair to let her sit and pushed it in after.
He poured the glasses with what was asked of and sat down. “Hope
you like the food..” he said blushing a little.
“I figure .. if you don’t mind me asking- do you have family
around?” He asked as he tilted his head.
       —fin—
Nehuen froze for a moment, feeling his face heat up at having
offended Quill's new friend. "My sincerest apologies, I'm not
the best with social interactions. You've probably figured out
that by now," he sighed with a rueful look before he disappeared
so they two could enjoy their lunch together.
The walk back to his cabin was spent thinking about what the
woman might be teaching Quill. He'd long felt that his friend
had ancient blood as well, though it was far more muted than the
       red haired Ezma's.
Once home he forcer himself to grab an apple and munched on it
while throwing together a sandwich and grabbed some chips and
       salsa to go with it.
"Might have to go hunt soon, maybe Quill would like to go," he
mused, and thought about Ezma's saying that Clem needed a job so
       she wouldn't be so bored.
After finishing his food he got a surge of inspiration and was
soon lost in his writing once more. He wrote as if possessed,
only pausing to get water and take a break to use the bathroom.
       ----fin----
Seeing the recluse so quickly take his leave after apologizing
had Ezma smirking. She would have to find out where this man
lived and pop in on him for a proper visit. The things he must
know to be able to tell she was more than just their peer. She
was soon drawn away into the kitchen, pausing briefly in the
hallway when she noticed the picture and gave a smile of her
own. She wanted more than ever the love that was held in the
       faces of Quill's parents.
A wide smirk crossed her lips as she took the offered seat. "All
of that sounds lovely, we can eat first, go over what I've
cinema to teach you, then maybe some drinks, you make your own
moonshine? I have a recipe from an... old friend that hasn't
been made in eons, could let you try and use it, the stuff is
divine." She mused as he got everything ready. Before joining
       her at the table.
She started sampling the food making a pleased noise, "Oh this
is amazing," she praised before letting out a sigh when asked
       about her family.
"Well... it's... complicated.... my parents have been long gone,
since I was 10 rotations old I believe, I barely remember them
now... I... technically have four older siblings... only one as
far as I know has managed to survive as long as I have, the
other three are triplets tied up in a reincarnation cycle. It,
isn't uncommon for my kind to be caught in such things. They
should be wandering around some time soon, I've been looking for
them." She explained, deciding to take the leap in trusting this
man. She had this *feeling* like she could trust him. She
       couldn't explain it.
The way he looked at her, that lopsided smile, the way he
blushed so easily, she had seen such features before but
something about Quill drew her in. Maybe she wasn't cursed to be
       alone and barren forever.
       -fin-
Quill listened a bit as he heard her agree to eating, teaching
and a few drinks. Then came the question as he made a proud
look.”oh I do! My old man use to make it too- so it’s the best.”
He said as he heard her mention a recipe.”I would not mind
trying it.” He said as he began to eat. He smiled lightly glad
       she liked the food.
He listened to her speak about her family and heard what she
said about triplets and cocked his head to the side.”so my
father quite possibly could be around?” He asked softly to look
at the photo. If that was true it put him at ease- though he
felt his father would be lonely without his mother.
“What do they look like- maybe I can help myself if you’re
looking for them?” He asked as he cut another piece of steak off
       to eat it.
       -----
"Potential, if he has the favor of the gods, it could be
immediate, or take thousands of years on top of not recognizing
you. That is the thing though, I don't know what they are
supposed to look like. They could be exactly the same from looks
to personality or be a whole new person. The rules of
reincarnation are murky... your father was at least part
Terranian, which makes you part terranian too. Most of our kind
is male, we often take on multiple mates, though, even given my
long life I've never met anyone who felt... right..." Ezma
       began.
Over lunch, she gave the history lesson of her people, what came
before, and what she had witness herself. After lunch, they went
outside and she sat down in a patch of dirt to lay out the
different stones. "Pick up the stones, focus on them. If they
react, we will discuss further." She explained.
       -fin-
The man listened intently as Ezma spoke of their kind and how
       things worked.
The history lesson felt resonating. From the great battle his
father spoke of, and first hand encounter of what Ezma could
       recall.
“Thats a lot to go through..” he murmured feeling for Ezma
having to witness her family being killed.
After lunch did he go and sat down with her. His eyes looking at
the stones in front of him. He nodded as he took in her
instructions. Each one seemed to responded differently. One
shook a little in his hand.. enough to be noticed, another felt
a bit wet to the touch, but he could have sworn a droplet
formed. What stone gave quite the reaction was the plant. The
green stone popped, and as it did so- the grass around grew as
he seemed to look around mildly fascinated and shocked at the
same time. “Did I do that?” He asked softly.
       —fin—
Seeing the reaction of each stone confirmed in her mind that he
was perfect to teach. "You did, keep going," she encouraged
until all the stones had been tested and she took back the
remaining stones holding them in her hand. "These are tuneing
stones." She started before putting them away. "Those were just
tiny ones, useful to see if you can tune that element. While my
own specialty is lightning," she started, easily causing a
lightning strike next to her, scorching the ground, "I can to
teach you about plant tuneing. It is always good to nurture your
strongest connect first. I think give enough time, you could be
farming without need for fertilizer or equipment," she mused,
showing him by making a strawberry plant grow and bloom before
his eyes. "When you learn to control it I'll give you a neckless
like the one I've wearing, holds your primary stones for easy
access. The other thing to discuss is if you wish to take up the
tradition of covering your eyes, for your culture, showing
someone your eyes in deeply intimate and only shown to those
whom you are deeply connected, especially after being awakened.
It is up to you though." She explained.
       -fin-
He kept going as he checked for others.. he frowned a bit at the
strange static feeling of one like you ran your socks across the
carpet to touch the door knob.
Once done did he see her collect what didn’t bust on him to
       listen.
He saw the lightning strike as he jumped to his feet.”wowee! You
can do that!?!” He sounded as his head snapped her way a bit
more. He heard her mention about being able to grow his garden
with less work it sounded like to see the strawberry plant
bloom. He stared with an entranced look. His eyes only shifting
at the sound of a necklace to look up.
“I want to… if it’s you teaching me Ezma..” he said in a slow
breath that anyone would know of a terranian just dying to do
what she just did.”how do you waken your eyes?” He asked as he
grounded himself from the excitement. The thrill he felt he
couldn’t just place- he was itching to learn and connect to what
       his father was.
       —fin—
Seeing the reaction of Quill reminded her of her own thirst for
knowledge when she was first learning to tune. "The triggering
event is different for everyone. It is usually an emotional
extreme that triggers it. Mine was triggered when I was about
fifteen, got in a *horrible* fight with my brothers, ended up
filling the room with enough static to frizz everyone's hair and
then my eyes changed." She explained with a wide grin.
"We can really start your tuning training tomorrow. I must warn
it involves a lot of meditation in the begining." She told him.
"But for now, how about that moonshine you were telling me
about. I can fashion you a traditional eye covering if you like.
Can even put your father's family symbol on it for you," she
told him as she began to head back inside.
       -fin-
Quill listened to Ezma as she went about her experience when he
heard it was an emotional extreme. He wondered what kind of
intense feelings would cause such a thing to happen besides
anger. He wasn’t ever the type to lose his temper much- taking
after his mother in that respect.
“I can handle meditation- I fish sometimes and it takes a lot of
patience, so in a way it’s kind of the same thing..” he said
blushing a bit.”I’ll go get some, and I think I got some fabric
dad used when he had to make the eye coverings.” He said as he
       got a smile.
Barely in his home already and he felt butterflies in his
stomach. He went and got the moonshine to pour a few glasses
before heading to the closet to open it up. Her grab a box he
often see his father use, the symbol of the apple tree on it to
slide it open to grab the cloth and a paper of the symbol of his
fathers. It was a fish it seemed and a River.”these are what dad
used..” he said as he sat with the glass of moonshine to sip
it.”got any stories to tell? I know pa mentioned an apple of
knowledge and the hero’s trials but, I wanted to know if there
were other stories.” He said as Clem came to his side to put her
head in his lap for pets.
       —fin—
At Quill's eagerness and mentioning he still had his father's
materials for making eye coverings she smiled quite wide. She
sipped on her drink when it was given and grinned quite wide at
the box. A laugh left her when he asked if she knew other
stories besides the trial of the hero.
"I have lots of stories, I was there for quite a bit of it." She
mused. As she drank her moonshine, she would carefully open the
box as she started from the beginning, the old legends that no
one talked about anymore. By the time she finished retelling the
stories, her hands had skillfully crafted a suitable eye
covering, and she had finished her drink.
Even though she worked at a bar, Ezma rarely drank, so to drink
something *so* strong had her more than tipsy, not that she
particularly showed it. Once done she stood and went around the
table to fasten the eye covering over his eyes properly. Being
so close, and so intoxicated, not just by the booze but the man
in front of her, she couldn't help but kiss him.
       -fin-
Quill enjoyed the sound of her voice as he watched her work. But
to know she was there all this time was a shock. Hearing the
hero was her sister of all people made him go wide eyed. Of
course he watched her stand and walk over. She was so close he
could smell the moonshine on her breath, once the eye covering
was tied though felt the lips on his as he blushed and felt all
sorts of giddy on top of feeling tipsy himself. As if he
couldn’t help himself either would he pull her in his lap, his
lips connecting again for another kiss. A soft happy sigh would
sound as his hands ran up her back as they made out. Of course a
part of him got hard before he blushed. He parted.”.sorry can’t
help it.. just you so darn pretty like a rose and.. you kiss
really good..” he said as his hand touched her face gently.
       —fin—
As if it was where she belongs, Ezma gave no resistance to the
pull into Quill's lap or thr second kiss that fully devolved
into the pair fully making out for several amazing moments. She
could feel his body reacting to her and had a smirk on her lips
when he pulled back and apologized before complementing her. If
she hadn't been sold on wanting this man before, she certainly
       was now.
"You don't need to apologize," she murmered softly, drawing him
into another, far sweeter kiss. "You are like no one I have ever
met and yet all the best qualities of those who courted me in
the past..." She mused as she leaned into his touch. "We can
slow down if you like... but I've waited my entire life to
finally meet you..." She told him softly.
       -fin-
Quill blushed a bit before feeling another kiss. Every word
felt like sweet tea on a hot day. “What if I don’t want to.” He
asked as his tone went to a husky drawl,as his hands settled on
her ass. “If you waited for me this long, then maybe we don’t
need to slow down.” He said back. He was smitten and hearing
those words from her, felt like he could be more than open with
her. And it was as if he wanted to know every bit of Ezma.
       —-fin—
An expression of surprise came to Ezma's features, that husky
layer to his accent nearly had her shiver biting her lip at
what he had to say. His words making her heart race like she had
never experienced before. His claim of not wanting to slow down
had her grinning again. She said nothing else as she pulled
away, drawing him to his feet and went looking for the bedroom.
Once there, she shoved him onto the bed before she went for her
eye covering, gently removing it and revealing her glowing red
eyes. The glow crackling like the moment lightnight strikes the
ground and starts an inferno. She then took off other extra
items of clothes until she was left in only a chest wrap and her
underwear. She could never get behind the idea of bras.
The terranian woman then crawled onto the bed over him, staring
at him with her intense gave. "You are wearing too much
clothes," she murmered as she drew him into a new kiss.
       -fin-
Quill felt himself drawn up, to taking over to show her to his
room, he felt the push to make a noise as he hit the bed.
He was stunned as her mask slid off to one hell of a sight as he
pulled his off to get a better look at the fireworks or what he
would say was like that. His eyes dipped to her figure that just
made him that much harder before watching her crawl toward him.
He felt the kiss.”guess I best lose some too..” he said as
clothing got lost and his hands began to roam. His lips found a
spot on her neck to mark a little as he slid his hands up her
back to tug at the wrap, it took a bit before it would slide off
exposing her.”damn’ you look beautiful..” he said as he brought
her down for a hot kiss.
       —fin—
The smirk on her mission grew seeing Quill stripping out of his
clothes and even aided in getting him entirely bare. His lips
soon found purches on her neck leaving a mark as his hands
worked off her wrap, soon showing off her chest to him. She
hungrily kissed him back as she finished pulling her clothes off
with the last article being ditched. Her lips broke the kiss and
traveled down his body, teasing every sensitive spot she could
       find on his body.
"Tell me, what is it you want right now?" She questioned as her
tongue traveled up his hard member and began to suck on him,
pleasuring him. While she didn't have much practical skills on
this subject, she had read a lot about it over the eons.
       -fin-
Quill felt the tingles down his spine at the hands that traveled
down as he blushed a bit. He groaned at what she was doing and
       said.”I like what you’re doing now.. but I wouldn’t mind a
ride.. unless you want me to be on top..” he said with a smirk.
He watched her suck at him as he got lost in the pleasure. Being
new at this, he knew he had to be plenty careful.”course I can..
play with you too if ya turn th’ other way..” he said with a
blush. His came from random reading of some racy books he came
across once in a blue moon.
       —fin—
A satisfying pop sounded when Ezma pulled up off the hard
member. "Why not all the above, you can eat me out while I toy
with you, then I can ride you... and see how long before you
lose control and ravage me," she purred before moving to
position her needy heat over his face and then went back to
hungrily pleasuring him with her mouth.
       -fin-
Quill blushed at the pop as he listened. He watched her move
around to get a nice view.
He began to feast on her heat his tongue being careful as he
wormed in her folds, his fingers finding their way as they
slipped in. She felt warm.. and tasted sweet.
His moans slid out as he feasted his fingers joining his mouth
       as his tongue went further.
But gods when she got on him, the slow impale just about made
him ready to flip her over anyway! But he took his time letting
her have her way as she continued to fu.ck at him at a pace that
would drive him nuts. Feeling just at the brink but couldn’t
       release.
He flipped her over as he began to claim her, his mouth over
hers. The view of her eyes so much closer. Feeling nails on his
back as his mouth traveled down her neck to her chest as he
       groped at them.
A smile crossed his face as he got lost in their pleasure to dip
for another kiss as he kept going.
       —fin—
Moans of pleasure escaped Ezma as she felt that tongue as soon
fingers toying with her. It wasn't long before she wanted to be
filled and moved to slid onto him, gasping is her was the first
to deflower her. She was a moaning mess as she moved her hips
       and rode him.
Soon, he took over fully, pinning her down as he began to ravage
her body. His hands and lips adding to her pleasure as he
brought her to her first true peak. Her nails raking down his
back as she clung to him.
"Quill!" She moaned out as she completely came undone, not an
ounce of composure left as she writhed under her new lover and
       probable mate.
       -fin-
He heard his name as he continued to plow into her. Losing
himself to the pleasure and the touches of Ezma. Hearing her
moan his name out just made him come undone as he gasped ezma’s
       name, the man spilling inside
He slowly pulled out as he laid at her side as he gathered her
       close in his arms.
“That.. was amazing..” he said breathlessly. He chuckled as he
laid there..his hand gently rubbing her shoulder.
       —fin—
Hearing her own name on Quill's lips as she was filled with his
seed had her reaching her own peak. Panting when he finally
pulled out and laid next to her, drawing her in. She snuggled up
against her new lover as he voiced how much he enjoyed himself.
"That was amazing," she agreed. Soaking in the bliss and feeling
       properly satisfied.
Once the sex high wore off she moved her head to look up at him.
"So, unless you want babies sooner rather than later... not the
best idea to finish inside of me," she warned. She hoped the
odds were in her favor to not conceive on her first romp.
       -fin-
Quill blushed brightly at the belated warning. He got a soft
look.”sorry Ezma.. you just felt so good I forgot about the
condom.. I’m new to all this but I had the sex talk.” He said to
       rub his head a little.
       —fin—
"Don't worry about it, I've... already kind of decided to pursue
you as one of my mates... a child wouldn't be unwelcome," Ezma
confessed with a blush. "Though... our kind often take on more
than one mate... likely another man... would you be okay with
something like that? Its... a big commitment... but... like you
said... no point in going slow..." She asked anxiety filling her
       about what he might say.
       -fin-
Quill’s eye went a bit wide at ezma’s confession of a child not
being unwelcome. The idea of being a father played with his
heartstrings a little bit- but to know he had her as a mate made
       him smile.
“Another?.. mean pa did have a woman he was wooing back in the
day with my mom- but after they passed she moved on.” He said.
“I would be- but I’d ask a bit of patience as I never ..
explored the idea of men before.. but is there a someone you had
in mind besides me?” He asked as he seemed sheepish.
       —fin—
Hearing Quill say he was open to taking on another man in their
relationship but needed time for such ideas. It made Ezma smile
wide. The question of if there was another she had her eyes on
       another already.
"Potentially, your friend you had over earlier... the way he
looks at you I think me is crushing on you something hard... I
found him fascinating, not saying he is the one, but he is
definitely an option to explore," she mused as she toyed with
       his long white hair.
       -fin-
“Nehuen? Like *likes* me?” He blushed a bit. “I don’t.. mind
finding out.. if he does.. course- I should check on him. He’s a
       writer and won’t eat properly if I don’t.. I suspect that’s why
Clem escapes so much- kinda forces him out of his house.” He
said to chuckle. Her touching his hair made him relax as he
basked in the glow.”wanna come and see where he lives?” He
       asked.
       —fin—
"I believe so, there is no rush, though I would live to see
where he lives." Ezma mused with a wide grin. "He seems adorably
bookish, can't wait to get to know him. Have to settle my
emotions first or he will read me like one of his books," she
mused with a giggle. "He seems sensitive so I can bottle my
emotions pretty well when I need to so hopefully he doesn't get
       overwhelmed..." She suggested.

“Take your time, it’s actually a pretty place. And I get it-
he’s helped me a few times when I went through some rough
patches. But he moved out here since the city in the oasis has
       so many people.” He explained.
“Just hope he’s open to being a throuple if it goes that a way.”
He said.”I know I won’t be letting go of you.” He said with a
smile as he got her to look at him.”and your eyes.. really are a
sight to see..” he said as a soft flicker of light briefly would
show like the sun bouncing off the lense of the camera.
       —fin—
Seeing the flash in Quill's mismatched eyes had Ezma's eyes go a
little wide before realizing what his trigger might be. To test
out her theory, she decided to admit how deeply she was feeling
about Quill. How had she stumbled across such an amazing man?
""I hope he fits as well as you do, I never understood how
people became to infatuated so quickly... but... I realize
now... it is what falling in love feels like," she mused softly,
kissing Quill again. It seemed, his emotion was going to be joy,
or happiness, or even stronger, love.
       -fin-
Quill listened to what she had to say. His eyes widening a bit
as he heard her mention about falling in love. Her kiss sparking
something inside, he felt strange as his eyes gave a low glow..
and the world seemingly so much brighter.. not just that.. but
all around Ezma looked like sparks of lightning.. he blushed a
bit as he looked at his own hand as it seemed to give a green
hue, and the idea of falling leaves. “What happened?” He asked a
       bit marveled.
       ——fin—
Getting to witness and even be the *cause* of Quill's awakening
sent thrills through Ezma like she had never experienced. Seeing
his eyes awaken had her heart racing. The glow of a warm sunny
day, the sunflowers soaking in the light. She then saw the way
he suddenly became awake of the auras and grinned *wide*.
"You have awakened your true eyes, seems it was just below the
surface eager to come out, they are pretty incredible, should
look in a mirror to see for yourself," she mused, remembering
how excited she was when her eyes had awakened, after she had
       gotten over the anger.
       -fin-
Quill heard what Ezma said as he blushed a bit.”awakened?” He
said as he shifted out of bed and bout near stumbled near the
dresser where the mirror sat. He took a look as his hetechromia
eyes widened as the glowed. “Good night- they are!” He said as
       he got excited.
He rushed over to scoop Ezma up, in a hug as he realized… it was
a big emotion that triggered it.. first sight of love. He
blushed a bit dark. “Be feelin’ your the one for me..” he said
       and blushed a little more.
He gave her a soft kiss.”maybe we should go check on Nehuen..
and bring food- bet he is knee deep in writin’” he said with a
chuckle. He found the eye tie that Ezma made to smile. He tied
it on and made sure it was secure. His finger went over the
fish. “Gonna keep this one forever.” He said with a grin.
       —fin—
The grin on Ezma's lips was unflattering as a giggle left her
watching her new lover stumble to the dresser to get a look for
himself. His excited words making her grin even wider. Then he
was rushing towards her and scooped her into the tightest hug of
her life. "I would have to agree with that feeling, I'm not
letting go of you any time soon, we are technically immortal,
hope you are ready for forever," she mused after the gentle
       loving kiss was given.
"Good idea, I will meditate while you get everything ready,
fetch me before you go to see him," she told her lover as she
helped to adjust his eye covering and planted another kiss on
his lips before pulling away to put her own back on and get
       redressed.
Soon she was outside, sitting on the top of one of the buildings
outside, silently meditating to suppress her emotions in
preparation to go see Quill's friend.
       -fin'
Nehuen's fingers flew quickly over his laptop keys, the story
emerging with every word that flowed onto the screen in front of
him. The remnants of his long ago lunch was sitting on the edge
of his desk, his source books splayed open on the other side,
some precariously stacked, all ready for easy access should he
need to grab one for reference.
He paused, his eyebrows narrowing as he reread the last several
passages a few times before going back to reword and edit them
before moving on to the next scene.
It was at points like this that his concentration kept him
completely oblivious to everything going on around him or even
the necessities of what his body needed. The light outside was
starting to fade, prompting him to move to flick on the lamp on
       the left side of him.
The light revealed clothes spilling out of his laundry basket to
one side, along with more plates from previous days he'd been
working that he'd forgotten to clean up. He'd thought of
cleaning up earlier when he'd hit a writer's block but had
instead grabbed one of the books to flip through to figure out
where to go next with his heroine.
Most people didn't realize that he didn't just write informative
books, but was also the master writer behind a very popular
supernatural mystery series with a loveable, tough heroine that
solved all sorts of supernatural crimes with her two kick ass
lovers. In the past few years, the popularity and demand for
more books in the series had increased..and this one was going
to introduce another character that became a part of the core
       group.
What Nehuen didn't realize was that the dreams he got that
inspired his work, were far more than just dreams. In time he'd
realize that the people he was writing about actually existed.

Quill went and dressed after he felt his eye covering fix and
the kiss. He gave a lingering look at her ass as it got covered
to get dressed himself. The man feeling giddy. After getting
food together did rover come around to spill over his feet.
Thats when he noticed Clem was not around.
“Bet she went to doggon get him off of writing again.” He said
as he walked out.”Ezma! I got the food!” He called out. He had
some steak left with the potato and salad. He had it covered in
foil as he would guide her to the man’s cabin. He paused to see
clementine sitting on the man’s porch to sigh,”gosh golly- I do
think she has a job. - making him take a break!” He said to go
to the door and knocked on it at least twice before coming in.
“Nehuen!” He called out.”it’s quill! Did ja eat? An’ I brought
my lover.” The last part coming out to get a blush as he looked
back as if asking if it was okay he said that.
       —fin—
Having pushed all strong emotions down and locked them away,
Ezma barely looked up from her place to jump down and use wind
tuning to cushion her fall before she was following him, trying
to keep her emotions at an even neuteral.
"It appears she has given herself a job," she agreed,
reluctantly following him in, flipping on a few lights along the
way and making a face at the state of this place. It was beyond
tolerable. Rather than having an emotional reaction like
disgust, she just, began cleaning the place, she would come in
the room they were in after a few minutes.
"Where do you put your laundry and I can't find the trash can,"
she informed them as if she was on a job. To be fair, much like
Clementine, she had given herself a job.
       -fin-
The knock on his door sounded far away and muffled and with his
head completely into his work. Nehuen' jerked away from his
laptop when Quill's new emotions hit him and he glanced up at
his friend, his jaw falling open at the word *lover* having
       spilled from Quill's lips.
Feeling next to no emotions from Ezma, even as she complained
about the state of his place had him shudder at the strange void
       coming from her.
"Stop that. You can let me feel some of your emotions. Feeling
nothing makes me think you're a zombie," he told her as he stood
up and stretched out, his back popping several times.
"Just how long has it been? Don't tell me I've been working for
days or weeks on end again." He sighed and then spied Clem
moving to inspect and lick at some of his old plates.
"Hey now little lady, don't do that," he commanded getting the
dog to give him a moody look and plop down.
"Hey now, no judgements from you Clem. Fine I'll clean up the
place," he sighed and moved to scratch the dog between the ears
       before picking up the dishes.
"As you can see I need a judgemental dog to get me cleaning," he
joked as he headed into the small kitchen.
"Laundry's behind those doors," he said pointing to two doors
side by side that pulled from the middle.
He set the dishes down by the sink and started to fill it with
hot water and added some soap.
"Last I ate was at lunch," he finally answered Quill and glanced
       at the clock.
"I swear, seems like I work an entire day in the span of six
hours. You ever feel like time slows Ezma?" He asked curiously
as he worked on cleaning and clearing off his small kitchen
table. "Please sit, I'll take care of the laundry and my mess."
He said firmly, in the same tone he'd used with Clem.
"So..you've finally found the one you've been waiting for, eh
Quill? Good for you," he said softly trying to not look at the
       man for too long.
He'd known this would happen one day so why was he sad? Quill
had only wanted them to be friends
       ------
Quill came in to get the food warmed up for Nehuen.”I suggest
you sit and eat mister- I got the chores.” He said to snag the
man by the collar to sit him down.
“One of them. Ezma said she was interested in a second possible
mate.. and well.. imma rip this off like a bandaid.” He said as
he got the dishes into the soapy water.”do you… like *like* me?”
He asked as his head turned back a little. His strap of his
hair tie sliding off his shoulder as he sat there washing the
       dishes.
       —fin—
When told where the laundry was, Ezma ignored the protests and
headed into the room to begin getting the clothes washed. A
smirk crossed her lips at how forward Quill was. The man didn't
seem one to beat around the bush, she could hear him from the
       other room.
Once that was done she worked on that, she joined her lover to
dry and put away the dishes. Only a trickle of a pleased emotion
       coming through for her.
       -fin-
For a moment Nehuen was rather surprised by Ezma ignoring his
*command*. Most people usually did what he wanted when he used
that tone if voice. Then his eyes narrowed a bit, suspicion
filling them when he didn't feel emotions coming from her.
Nehuen was about to question this when he felt Quill's hand
grabbing his collar and guiding him to sit down, and then
       insisted that he eat.
Nehuen finally glanced up at him and his eyes widened at seeing
the eye cover on Quill's face.
One of them? The words didn't quite compute at first, until
Quill went on explaining and then asked him if he had feelings
       for Quill.
Nehuen let out a soft sigh, glancing between the two working
before pushing his chair back and standing up.
"Just enjoy your girlfriend for now, I'm not in the mood to be
unpacking the feelings I've boxed away. The fact you can't even
say the l word, tells me you're really not ready to know."
Nehuen added and then headed into the bathroom.
He came back out a few moments later shaking his head and
muttering to himself under his breath.
"Honestly Quill, I bet it would have taken you another couple
of years before your oblivious ass even thought to ask such a
thing. I had a crush on you after a month of knowing you. I
nearly threw myself at you time after time, but you never
fu.cking seemed to notice. So I figured it'd be best to just
stop hurting myself. If you're just asking to play with my
       emotions, then just leave,"
       --fin--
Quill slowed his work to look back as he looked a nuehen, he
knew sometimes things would fly over his head- especially when
he was knee deep in farming or figuring out a problem. He rubbed
his head in his own guilt as the man was use to the more forward
       nature of things.
They finished the last of the dishes before he would catch the
man’s words when he came out.
The man’s mouth made a frown as he listened a little his head
dipping. His emotions messed a little- along with it, what
plants in the man’s home would suddenly gain some vigor as he
finally opened his own mouth, as he yanked his mask off as his
duo toned eyes glowed brightly as his brows furrowed.
“Just so you know- I just didn’t wanna put you on the spot- the
word love carries a lot of weight. And as pa would say some fall
in love faster than others while some takes time- guess for me
it took its sweet ass time..and I promise- I’m not here to
‘play’ with your feelings. I frown on that highly-playing with
someone’s heart is never okay.” He said as he crossed his
arms.”an’ also I wanted to show you that I woke the true eye
yanno- sure it awakened around Ezma but I wanted to show someone
that I been close to for a long time something special cause I
trust you.” Said the half terranian.
He seemed to think a bit and looked at Ezma.”’an just so you
know nehuen she expressed interest in you too!” He said as his
head turned back.”..that was the other reason I came by cause I
didn’t know if you wanted to even be in a throuple.” He said.
“Least you confirmed it despite not even saying th’ darned word
yourself nehuen.” He said. His hand on his hip. “If you need
time I’m willing to give it- I just figured if we would talk we
could get a gist of what was wanted.. well… if you wanted to be
apart of that sorta relationship.” He said rubbing his neck.
       —fin—
Hearing and seeing the emotions in the two men made Ezma think
that maybe these two needed a bit of time to talk alone, without
her presence to put Nehuen on edge. She had know it wasn't going
to be simple or straight forward, but she had hoped. She
finished with what she aas cleaning before she leaned on the
doorframe that would lead her to the outside door.
"You two clearly have a lot of emotions to unpack, shoot me a
text when you have this figured out,I'll see you tomorrow for
training Quill. Have a good evening Nehuen." She told them,
turning and leaving before she could get any protest from the
       two.
       -fin-
Nehuen's eyebrows shot up when Quill turned around showing off
the mask he'd been wearing then ripped it off as he finally
       replied.
Nehuen crossed his arms over his chest, his face showing off
several emotions as Quill explained he hadn't meant to hurt him
and that he wasn't playing around.
He was quite surprised by Quill revealing he'd woken his true
eye and had wanted to share it with him. His eyes widened and he
shot Ezma a look of shock when Quill said the woman had
expressed interest in him as well.
Nehuen's protective shield fell away momentarily and he was
bombarded by the strong emotions coming from Quill. It was a bit
of a shock to him that there was barely any coming from Ezma.
He looked between the two a few times, a look of uncertainty in
his eyes before he let out a soft sigh when Ezma spoke up saying
they had a lot of emotions to unpack and then wished him well
       and left quickly.
He didn't stop her, knowing she was right. There was a lot that
       they needed to deal with.
"I definitely need time to think things over. We should talk and
sort out things a bit. I apologize for attacking you. I was
jealous. I always thought you couldn't return my feelings
because you were ace. Finding out you were with Ezma after one
date...made me feel like it was me you didn't like...or couldn't
like." Nehuen admitted as he moved to sit down. "I've been
rejected so many times, it hurts more and more every time it
happens. I'm just tired of having feelings that aren't returned.
If it wasn't for your friendship, I would have left and become a
       hermit long ago," he admitted.
"I'm not sure about this whole throuple thing, but I'm willing
to try. Though, I think being friends with her first is best."
       --fin--
Quill heard Ezma speak to nod.”I’ll see you tomorrow,
beautiful.” He said to watch her go. Once she went would he hear
nuehen speak. He too moved to a seat as he put the blindfold
around his forearm as with him he wanted eye contact. His eye
gained a sympathetic look as he took a breath.”it sucks having
gone through that- I just never explored or had the idea of
being with a man, guess you could say today is definitely an
awakening.. and some thin’ to explore neu. He told him.
“Since we are on th’ subject.. is there anything ya would like
to do with just you and me…. Our own little date so we can see
where we go?” He asked.”maybe a nice home cooked meal at my
place.. or yours…” he said as he knew the man didn’t do well
with public places due to his ability.”maybe bring some good ol’
flicks for after?” He asked as he made a few suggestions.
       —fin—
Nehuen took a moment to try and ground himself, taking a deep
breath and released it slowly before looking up into Quill's
gaze. The sympathy in the other's eyes almost felt like too much
for him. Had it been someone other than Quill, he'd have had to
look away or find somewhere to hide from the unwavering gaze.
He tried to not feel jealous about Ezma being the one to waken
and open Quill up to the idea that he had feelings for him. "I
guess I have Ezma to thank for that," He replied with a sigh.
Nehuen was back to playing with his long hair, considering
Quill's question of what he would want to do on a date together.
"We could go on a horse ride on the trail, or go hiking with the
dogs. Pretty much what we normally do when we have time to spend
together..though..it'd be nice to cuddle, hold hands..and..maybe
try some kissing," Nehuen admitted, feeling his face heat up a
       bit.
"I'm not going to rush you into anything you don't want to try
though. We can take it slow, but maybe not molasses tapping
slow," He added with slight grin. "If you want to watch a movie,
we can. Just..no bloody or scary shit okay?"
Nehuen's long held back desire had him moving in to brush a
light kiss on Quill's cheek and then he reddened rather darkly
at how bold he'd been. "Sorry..I couldn't help it." He
       apologized.
       ---fin--
Quill made a soft look at the man as neuhen made the comment
about thanking Ezma before he would go quiet as he seemed to
       think over what quill asked.
Quill smiled at the prospects and nodded.”I don’t plan on
molasses slow.. “ he said flushing as he knew he had done bedded
Ezma before all this. But the idea of neuhen- he knew he would
need to know things since some men acted differently.
”why not? I always liked it when ya clung to me during the scary
parts.” Slipped out of the man’s mouth as he recalled getting
him to watch one that left neuhen practically in his lap.
He blushed but himself.”it’s well a fine to kiss me neu.” He
said before he would grab the man by the shirt to drag him
in.”but I think ya wanted it this a way?” He questioned to cover
the man’s mouth with his own.
The country boy flushed a bit after as he thought of how
different he tasted from ezma’s lips.
       —fin—
"thank the gods for that," Nehuen commented about not going
super slow. He'd been crushing hard on Quill for years now and
wasn't sure he could continue at a snail's pace.
He felt his face heat at being reminded how he'd reacted to
scary movies in the past. Half the time he'd be hiding his face
in Quill's chest or neck in an attempt to recover from seeing
scary scenes. The jump scare ones were always the worst.
"So that's why you always suggested we watch them," he muttered
shaking his head at Quill. "Being scared is not fun for me. You
do remember all the nightmares I had afterwards, right?"
Nehuen's face heated more at Quill's reaction to his kissing the
other's cheek. Feeling the hands pulling him closer had his eyes
widen and his mouth fall open a bit in surprise. Then their
mouths were molding together and a moan of pleasure came from
Nehuen as he pressed in closer and kissed Quill back deeply and
pouring all his affection and desire into their kiss.
Nehuen pulled back a bit, his face quite dark at letting loose
his feelings so much. "When...when did you want to go on our
       date?"
       --fin--
“I’m aware, and I stayed, remember?” Quill said with a mild
smirk, feeling the warmth of affection bubbling inside him.
"First time you slept for hours instead of write,” he joked, a
       playful glint in his eyes.
As their lips met in a deep and passionate kiss, Quill felt a
fluttery sensation spread in his stomache, like butterflies
dancing. When they finally parted, he heard Nehuen’s question.
“More like, when do you wanna go? I know I got training, but we
haven’t really talked about when. So that I can cut out that
time for our date,” said the country boy, his eyes still
lingering on Nehuen’s face, his own lips tingling from the kiss.
It was a different feeling than he expected. He wondered just
how their trio relationship would work out.
