       Solis blushed a bit.”nah it’s fine I think- girls got a tendency
to mature faster anyway- depends on the boy whether they process
it or not.” He said with a chuckle at his boyfriend. He then
blushed hard at snow. “Just wait till you have feelings and I
shoot out your surprises!” He mumbled before he felt a nudge. He
took a look at Adan to chuckle.”that one seems to have noticed-
just can’t seem to move.” He joked.
“Yes this is my boyfriend Zan.” Solis said.”I was gonna
introduce him tomorrow. Gonna take him to my hiding place- later
I’ll snatch up Eden- oh don’t be surprised if the Church of the
Archon Genesis arrive- you remember when they asked you to join-
they may of seen Eden’s eyes.” He said slowly.”she made a
promise by taking off her mask- granted briefly.. one did see
though.” He said flatly at the end.
“Once it hits dinner I can bring him by?” Asked Solis with a bit
       of a look.
       [hr]
Eden couldn’t quite run with everything for some to drop.”oops.”
She picked up a few things to see snow running up and blushed a
little more. She seemed conflicted cause she didn’t want to drop
everything- but didn’t know how snow felt about that kiss. She
had some mixed up feelings herself but seeing Solis and Zan kiss
like that.. kind of made sense in her mind.”can you help me.. I
got to kee some things and Solis bought me stuff, and Zan..” she
said and kind of fumbled some.
Her swords hung from her hips making their own sounds clanging.
She noticed Adan didn’t quite move from his spot- he looked a
bit flabbergasted and she wondered if she broke him herself.

"Well..it's not like I'd know much about girls," Zan said with a
shrug. "I hope..that one snaps out of the frozen state soon,"
Halder couldn't help but chuckle as he listened to Solis and
watched Snow and Adan's reactions. "Well..if need be, we can get
someone to snap him out of it."
He turned his attention back to Zan, his eyes going over him
slowly. "Well, I won't let Inga know so you can surprise her."
He said turning to give a wink to Solis. He sighed at the rest
of his news. "Figured that could happen. We'll figure out some
way to make them leave her alone. She doesn't need all their
       attention,"
Halder brightened when Solis asked if he could bring Zan to
dinner. "Of course, you should. If I have to wait any longer to
keep this secret, you know Inga would get it out of me,"
       [hr]
Snow caught up to Eden a few minutes later and nodded at her
question. He helped her pick up what she'd dropped and handed
them to her so she could stash them in her bag.
"Oh..you got your own blades? Nice," He said in an admiring
tone. "So..you kissed me 'cause you liked me right?" He asked
gently and then took her hand. "I like you too Eden.
Maybe..though..we could do the kissing in private? So..you like
       Adan too?"
He glanced up to see Adan still standing frozen in place. "maybe
I should see if I can fix him huh?"
Snow walked her over to the men and Adan and then let go of her
hand to lift Adan's head up. Adan blinked, staring up at him
with a very confused look. Snow leaned down and kissed Adan,
perhaps just a bit longer and deeper than Eden had.
Adan was shocked for the second time that day, even deeper
feelings rushing through him as Snow's lips pressed against his
own. His hands came up to grab Snow's arms, and then Snow pulled
       away.
"How is it possible for your face to look purple?" Snow asked,
       looking a bit surprised.
"When people experience unexpected things and get embarrassed,
sometimes the blood rushes to their faces..like mine is," Adan
murmured and then blinked a bit and realized he was holding
Snow's arms and let go. "Was that just a kiss to snap me out of
my shock?" He asked, having a strong sense of disappointment
       well up at the thought.
"Well, it helped you go back to talking so that's good. And
no...I kissed you 'cause I've been wanting to," Snow added the
last part in a low whisper, making Adan shiver.
"Uh..right..so..we should head to class," Adan finally said
after a long moment of thought.
Snow chuckled, "Yep, back to normal," He said shooting a smile
at Eden. "We have dance today, you looking forwards to that?" He
asked as he grabbed Eden and Adan's hands and tugged them in the
       direction of the castle.
Halder had a bit of a surprised look on his face at seeing Snow
       kissing Adan. "Huh..well..so dinner's at 6, if you're early
that's fine, just don't be late."

“Just keep quiet! I’ll make it - just.. I’d like a bit of time
before I show Eden that place too. So if she goes running least
I know where she’s at and no one looking around like crazy
yanno?” Said Solis. He blushed small bit- he was honest with
halder about a lot of things- despite keeping his secret as a
tuner. “See you at dinner!” He said to pause and watch the boy
kiss Adan to chuckle.”well that worked.”
       [hr]
With snows help she managed to get it in her bag and blushed a
bit more to feel her hand taken.”y..yeah it felt right to
do..and I’d like to..” said Eden with a shy look. Eden couldn’t
help but feel snow might like adan a bit more but she felt her
hand grabbed to be dragged with snow hearing about dance. Her
energy and boldness came back as she went with them to the
       castle.
Inside Eden seemed to be doing fine, as she had the steps. They
had some other girls glow and kiya. Given how things went, Eden
ended up helping demonstrating some steps and would get
partnered off- this time though she was with snow. It took a
while though for her to understand that the men lead. As when
she danced with Adam earlier she seemed to do it more.
After the dance she gathered her things as it was free time. She
realized Solis would come get her and she’d find out a secret
soon to kind of get hyper again. She wondered if she could take
snow and Adan with her.. couldn’t hurt would it? And it be a
quiet place for the three and important people to her if they
wanted to find her.”come with me! Please?” She asked firmly.
       [hr]
Meanwhile in his hiding spot, Solis was already kissing the man
deeply, he couldn’t help it. Zan just makes his blood run hot.
His mouth worked at Zan‘s mouth a bit passionately as he felt
happy to have the man close. He hoped his family liked his
boyfriend. His hands roamed the man’s form. He couldn’t help it,
it felt smooth under his hands. His hands worked back up in
Zan’s hair as he kissed more.

Halder shut his mouth, hoping Eden hadn't heard him, and shot a
look over at the girl. Thankfully she was too distracted with
Snow and Adan. And then being dragged off to their shared class.
"I understand, she's a bit of a handful. I feel as though Dove
will be one day too." He sighed. "Yes..see you both later," He
       said with a wave.
       [hr]
Dance class went well, though Adan felt a bit awkward when he
got paired up with Eden. He'd taken a few dance classes
before..so it wasn't the moves. It was the butterflies that
filled him whenever he held her hand or pulled her in closer.
His movements got surer when he was paired with Glow, though he
couldn't help to notice her sad eyes. Maybe..one of the kittens
might cheer her up. He'd talk to Snow later to see if one of the
       kittens could go to her.
Snow managed to do pretty well with dancing, though he was a
little rusty. He enjoyed seeing Eden so happy and getting to
demonstrate the steps. She definitely picked up the moves quite
       well.
"You're doing really well for this being your first waltz," Snow
complimented her when they got paired up. He only had to remind
her a few times to let him lead.
"Where to?" Adan asked curiously when Eden asked them to go with
       her.
Snow chuckled and slung his arm around the boy's shoulders.
"Does it matter? When our lady makes a request, we must oblige,"
       He said with a wink.
       [hr]
Zan had followed Solis, not really caring where they were going,
just that they'd be alone for awhile. Solis was on him the
moment they made it inside, not that Zan minded. He moaned
happily, running his hands over Solis' body.
He was getting turned on in more ways than one, and let out a
groan when his boyfriends' hands moved into his hair. He didn't
want to, but he pulled back panting a bit. "We..should stop, for
a bit. Didn't you promise Eden a surprise?" He asked, wanting to
put a little distance between them.
"If this keeps going, we're not gonna be able to stop.
Remember..you said you wanted to wait."

Solis himself almost got too into things, when Zan broke it off
to blush a bit.”yeah.. sorry.. I know it’ll my birthday is in a
few months. Just a little longer.” He told the man with a smile.
Solis wanted to be sure the guy was the one. He promised his
grandpa as a kid he’d take things slow. “I’ll be back handsome!”
He said getting in one more kiss and walking out.
“You’ll see!” Said Eden brightly as she got to her hole first.
Eden put her bag inside, and gave Jalal a hug. She then ran out
to meet the other boys to smile some. She grabbed their hands
and led them where Solis said he’d meet her. The man took one of
the secret routes - slightly grinning at an idea on how to
reveal one secret soon enough to see .. a trio.”hm?” He sounded
as he drew closer once he had managed to slide down a vine of a
side of the island. Eden took notice and went slightly sheepish
as she watched him drop a bit to a tree and shimmy his way down.
Solis walked over and saw the boys.”thought it just be our
place?” Solis joked a little to Eden who puffed a little acting
all big. “W..well I like like them- it’s not fair to not let
them see the hideout too right?” Eden asked as the man smirked a
bit at how the girl clearly was not looking at him in the eyes
as her arms were crossed and her head turned.”alright alright…
but these two better promise to stay quiet about it too.. you
gonna learn my secrets.. “ of course snow seemed more
enthusiastic as Adan seemed unsure given he already connected
the idea they were going up.
“don’t worry bookworm, I’m gonna carry you and cuz.” Solis said
as he grabbed snow under arm.”give me a moment wild child.” He
said as he moved some- Eden recognized right away the movements
for wind and watched gaping with Adan as Solis hoping his way
up as if walking on invisible stairs.
Solis got snow up at a hole that was in the side of the big
island.”make your way in the tunnel it should take you up top”
Solis said with a grin before falling back, to activate his
tuning as the wind slowed his descent he landed on his feet to
snag Adan next.”breath little man. You’ll be fine.” He told him.
“Don’t yell or you’ll give us away.”
He did the same with Adan and told him the same instructions.
Once Eden was with the rest, he took them to behind the
waterfall where Zan was. Inside it looked like Solis took time
to make it like a workshop/ a place to nap with all the furs
around. The man even had cooking stones in a spot for if he
       hunkered down.
Eden had a smile as she found a spot on the furs. She seemed to
rock back and forth a bit happy as she kept a lid on the fact he
was a tuner. Solis looked at Zan and flashed his wind stone- it
was a stunning ombré blue. For him when he grabbed it, felt the
winds encircle him at a young age.”I’m a wind tuner. Now you
three keep it quiet even from you masters.. even from halder! I
have my reasons. This hide out though is for us.. but at night
it’s for me.. if you feel overwhelmed feel free to come here- do
least I know where you are.” He told Eden gently as she flushed-
       just a little.
“Now I know it’s done and over with- but try to ignore boys like
Alexander- they’re just not the best. If you have to though,
there are other ways to put a kid like that in place- and not
get in trouble.” He told Eden.“One of them is simply besting
them in a spar match, “ he told her as she seemed to take it
in.”another is always making sure you’re surrounded by animals.
They bear witness around here.. “
Eden then got in Solis face.”how did you do that?” She asked
Solis as he seemed fine with it.”do what?” He asked her as she
seemed to tilt her head and used her fingers mimicking him
walking on air.”walking on air! I wanna know!” Eden said with a
       smile.
“do you tune wind?” He asked her as she seemed to think, her
head going left and right in thought.”I tune a lot of things.”
She said honestly as the man smirked.”oh? Tuning it all? I’m
jealous.” Said Solis with a chuckle.”well now you know where I
go sometimes.. “ he told the three as Eden smiled big.”now you
and your boyfriends have your own spot.”

Zan nodded, running his hands down Solis' back. "It doesn't have
to happen on your birthday you know. It can wait longer. I
really don't mind waiting. I want to be sure that you don't feel
pressured." Zan added, truly meaning it.
His first time hadn't been all that good..and he wanted Solis to
have a better experience. His boyfriend knew he'd gone through
some things in the past, but Zan had never been explicit about
what had gone down. In a way, waiting was probably for the best.
"see you.." Zan's next words were muffled by Solis' kiss. He
couldn't help but grin and watch Solis walk away. "I sure am
lucky," He said with a happy sigh and relaxed on some furs to
       wait for Solis to return.
       [hr]
Snow chuckled at Eden not saying more, and the look of curiosity
on Adan's face. They waited patiently for her to go into the
cottage to drop off her things. "Do you have any idea where
she's taking us?" Adan asked, looking a bit unsure.
"Tis an adventure; live a little. Let it be a surprise," Snow
suggested with a grin on his face.
Before Adan could ask what had gotten into Snow, Eden was back
and grabbing them again and tugging them after her. "You're
gonna wrench my arm out of its socket one of these days," Adan
said rubbing his arm a bit when they finally stopped.
The sudden appearance of Solis nearly had Adan jumping out of
his skin. "Where'd you come from?" He asked, his mouth parting
       in amazement.
Snow glanced up to the sky, his grin widening. He didn't give
away what he suspected, wanting Adan to be surprised by where
they were going. He'd heard of hidden islands..but had never
actually been on one. Mostly they were used to hide those that
were in danger. Which had him wonder..was Solis in trouble?
Adan glanced over at Eden when Solis mentioned that something
was supposed to have been just his and Eden's. He flushed a bit
red when she said she liked them. "I promise I won't tell," He
said, though he was starting to realize that if Solis had come
       down..they'd have to go up.
"I, Prince Snow, so swear to never tell of this secret as long
as I live," Snow replied solemnly, making a sign on his chest
with his right finger. He shot a grin at Adan when Solis grabbed
him and moved his closer arm to hang onto the older teen's neck.
His hair whipped around in the wind as they got higher into the
air. He nodded and moved into the tunnel. "Got it, See you!"
Snow said winking and made his way further in, whistling as he
       went.
Adan was still gaping, his body shivering a bit when Solis
returned moments later to grab him. "R-right...no yelling," Adan
stuttered and held onto Solis as they went up. He closed his
eyes tight for part of the trip, not really caring for the sight
of how high up they were. He blinked at the tunnel and nodded,
happy to have his feet on the ground again.
He found Snow waiting at the top of the tunnel and wrapped his
arms around him for a moment. "Still dealing with that fear of
heights huh?" Snow asked and patted his back.
"Yeah...At least I didn't feel like puking this time."
"And without a peppermint candy too! I"m impressed," Snow
       replied.
They were soon joined by Eden and Solis and followed him behind
the waterfall. It was quite an amazing place, Adan couldn't help
but think taking in how Solis had set everything up. "This is
awesome," He said as he looked around.
Snow agreed and moved to sit next to Eden, glancing at Zan. The
man waved at them and sat up, his eyes focusing on the rock that
       Solis had brought out.
Zan's eyes widened a bit when Solis revealed he was a tuner.
"Wow..that's amazing. I'll never tell a living soul." He
promised. He knew some about tuners and knew that they had
enemies. His mind went back to the men that had attacked earlier
       and frowned slightly.
Snow and Adan exchanged looks when Solis made a point to talk
about Alexander and how to deal with boys like him. "Or let us
deal with the bullies," Snow added when Solis was done. "Adan
was going to duel Alexander, and still might." He added.
Adan's eyes widened. He had thought with everything that had
happened he wouldn't have to fight the other boy. He squared his
shoulders and nodded. "Yeah. He can't go around insulting our
       Eden,"
"So the only way to get up here is to tune wind?" Adan asked,
trying to figure out how they were supposed to use the hideout.
Zan chuckled. "Could also get a small airship and come up. Just
have to do it when no one is watching, They're not hard to
navigate, I could teach you and Snow how to easily enough." He
       suggested.
Snow's eyes light up at this offer, though Adan looked a bit
uneasy. "Don't worry Adan, you'll get over your air sickness
soon enough," Snow said softly and patted the boy's shoulder.
Zan got up and went to dig through his pack and pulled out a
bag. "I have something that might help with that," He pulled out
what looked like a small stone that was a reddish brown. "If you
stick that up against the roof of your mouth when you're going
up, it'll settle your stomach. As for the fear of heights, just
keep facing it and going up. You'll get over it faster that
       way." He suggested.
Adan took the stone and stuck it into his pocket. "Thanks..I'll
do that." He said with a grateful expression.
"You're welcome, Bookworm," Zan said with a wink. "So..you read
       a lot then? Hmm..hold on."
Zan went back to digging through his bag and brought out an old
bound book and handed it over to Adan. "I've been waiting for
the right person to give this to. I have the oddest feeling you
of all people can read it,"
Adan took the book and opened it carefully. His eyes gleamed
when he realized that it was written in a forgotten language.
"Ohh..this is definitely up my alley! I love reading and old
languages..this one is from Thescara..a land that was forgotten
       over 500 years ago!"
Zan blinked.."Thescara? That.. sounds familiar for some reason.
       Can you translate it?"
Adan was already trying to sound out some of the words in his
head. "Yeah..probably. It'll take a little bit of time
       though..old languages kind of do."
Snow was enjoying seeing Adan excited and in his element, he
moved to peer over the other's shoulder. "Hey..there are
pictures too. This looks like..a portal of some sort," He
pointed to one of the sketches.
Adan nodded. "Yeah..a portal to At-Atlantis." His eyes widened a
bit further as he read on. "This..isn't just a book, it's
like..a guide to how to get to Atlantis." He exclaimed..looking
       truly excited.

Solis grinned, “our Eden- how cute.” He said as Eden blushed
brightly.”well train well- Alex might be a little sh.it, but he
does know his way around a sword.” Solis said leaning back. He
watched as Zan spoke and how the boys were. Eden spoke up.”I got
to steer today! It’s really fun!” Said Eden. “And I had a
donut..” she started to hear.”I might get one that doesn’t have
chocolate next time.” Solis said rather flatly.
Eden puffed.”you said I could have it again next time!” Solis
deflated a bit. He watched as the boy was handed a book and Eden
seemed to hype up.”Atlantis? As in lost city” she asked peering
at the book. “Maybe we can go-“ she started to hear.”not without
an adult you won’t.” Said Solis flatly.
Eden talked a bit of what she got to do- the carnivorous rabbit
and getting to keep a foot of it.”gonna be a lucky charm!” She
       said with a chuckle.
The trio enjoyed some time, Adan reading, snow playing a game
with Solis, and eden working on her tuning with wind outside the
falls. She knew Now she had a good place to practice with no
real interruptions - that and she had permission to use wear
       stones in her spare time.
Her movements flowed as she finally managed to nail it. She
began to air walk up some and across. She giggled lightly before
losing her concentration hearing her name. She tumbled down some
to be caught by Solis.”don’t break that concentration.” He told
her chuckling- “seems you’re getting it… it’s time for dinner-
clean up okay?” Eden made a smile and nodded.
Soon the children were on solid land and Eden gave Solis a high
five before they would go, but once she knew no one was around.
She tugged Adan down for a kiss, and then switched to snow to
give him one.”I do mean it - I really like you. “ she said her
       hands behind her.
She ran off to the house- where Jalal wasn’t just waiting for
her- but had witnessed what she did. The man just smiled and
waved but deep inside his heart was breaking a bit. Eden was
starting to grow up and it showed.
Days passed as Eden was able to squeeze in another time in town,
as a gift she saw a choker for a man that could hold snow’s
tuning stone. Given it was magic- would allow to keep with snow
well into adult hood- if he wanted to keep it. She tucked it
away hiding it for the day.
Once it arrived it was as if it was a festival, it was in
celebration for the prince and his bond with his hawk. Eden was
quite entranced with the ceremony- and the food.
The concert was more than fun for her- she went with a song from
the desert- singing about it as if home- those who came from
there felt longing for it. Her dance was also a sight to behold-
and given her tuning abilities and practice- managed to do an
air dance that caught the attention of a young Prince. His amber
eyes widened at the young girls moves. Malik was almost smitten
for some reason. The girl felt wild and her performing seemed to
       garner appreciation from his father.
Even the queen of the fae kingdom had arrived as she was
invited. A man with dark hair, and cerulean eyes stood by her
with the women that had panthers. A small boy would also be seen
       by him.
Granted he was accompanied by some elves. He had been suffering
from something for quite some time- particularly after an attack
within the fae realm. The boy barely had spoken since he was
found barely alive among the dead. In fact it was discovered the
boy thought himself 10, and had a gap in his memories. The elves
worked as his not just his teachers- but also as therapists.
They figured a change of scenery may help the boy. The father
was not so thrilled and Orpheus couldn’t help but feel the man
was not good for the boy. He decided he’d try to get an audience
with the king and queen to try to get the boy away from his
       father.
       [hr]
It was now the day after- when dignitaries and more would start
trade talks, political issues and more. The first issue dealt
with the King of the sands. He had walked in to speak of trade,
Malik was left with an attendant, and Jalal had asked Eden to
play nice as he had to help with language, as for now- was
because of this. He had taken Adan as he felt this would be a
good lesson when he took over translating.
The King of the sands walked in to be shown a seat, and sat
down. Negotiations began as they normally do with some talk of
how things were- how lovely the ceremony was and more. “Now.. I
was going to mention we had struck some rare ores lately- a full
mithril mine and I was hoping maybe to barter for more food
goods- we are suffering from shortages and I wish to curb it.
Jalal translated as he spoke. He made a request if the king was
interested- for several shipments of wheat, rice, and whatever
fry goods he could provide and offered for it half the worth to
start. After all it was bartering given one would be high and
one would try to go as low as they could.
       [hr]
The dark haired girl made sure she looked ok, her sky blue eyes
running over her dress before she saw the door open.”Cal!” She
said excitedly.”it has been a long time! How have things been?”
Heiwa looked the boy over, he looked like he’d gotten taller-
she couldn’t believe how quickly he caught up to her- but now
had shot past her. She knew despite this being a formal thing-
she was going to enjoy their talk and his stories. “The training
in the desert- how did it go?” She asked as she scooted some
more to the edge as she smiled brightly.
       [hr]
Eden was dressed up- after fighting her with dresses before the
ceremony- Solis managed to convince her with a beautiful looking
outfit- with pants. She looked as if she’d be the princess of
the sands. She was waiting for Adam and snow- given the talk
would be long. Later they’d meet a few royal families who wanted
to talk about marriage and more with their child snow. Among
them was snow’s friend, heiwa. And at the moment she and snow
were in a room alone to talk. Right now she was keeping Malik
entertained or so she thought. Instead the boy after
complimenting her performance was being a bit too much for her.
He was asking all sorts of questions, what she liked, if she
liked books, if she sang all the time and more. It was fine at
first- but Malik was starting to get too close for comfort!
“Yeah- I know how to fight-“ said Eden trying to remain polite.
“I also really like animals.. and..” she started before feeling
a hand grab hers, as she was continuing to show the boy and the
guard with her toward the garden. Then the boy tried the one
thing she didn’t like. He tried to kiss her and missed as she
ducked.”no!” Eden said firmly.”I don’t like you that way.” She
said and turned. What’s worse was the attendant was letting
Malik get away with his behavior.
Eden turned a she always did when unhappy her arms folded to
feel a swift yank of her mask coming off.”HEY!” She yelled
startling the attendant. Malik paused long enough to see bright
cerulean eyes- and he was sold. “Give it back!” She said as she
reached for it for him to raise it.”why hide those eyes..” he
started. The attendant finally moved.”my prince you shouldn’t do
stuff like.. “ he started before the boy took off running- mask
in hand. Eden trailed behind running at the boy to give it back,
and managed to snag it back with the help of Solis.”shouldn’t do
that your highness.” He told Malik as he gave Eden her mask
back. She tied it off and more firmly so he could not do it
again.”if you like a girl- taking her things isn’t ok.” He said.
He had barely arrived to keep an eye on Eden and caught the
tailwind of things. But what would happen next he didn’t expect.
“You shouldn’t interfere with desert ways!” Solis heard from the
child. The attendant spoke up.”but we are not there..” as Malik
shouted at him to shut up.”where I’m from you take something
that belongs to a girl she’s yours.” He said flatly. Solis made
a face.”it doesn’t apply here- Eden is a protected person.” He
said as his mind flashed to the boys.
Malik of course didn’t listen as he darted by Solis, he missed
the strap of her mask- to only start what looked like a game to
tag to some. Eden almost ran into Katsu- made a frown at him and
then went behind him.”make him leave me alone!” Eden asked
before Malik made it seem like a game, and Katsu was the thing
they were going back and forth, trying to fake the other out.

Adan blushed a bit at Solis's comment, though not nearly as red
as normal. "Adan's pretty good himself," Snow spoke up. "I'll
work with him so he's better than Alex," He added in a serious
       tone.
Thankfully things got lighter when Eden brought up getting to
steer an airship and then everything shed done with Zan and
       Solis that day.
Snow couldn't help but hear how exuberant she was about the
donut she'd gotten and Solis' remark on getting a different
kind. "Sweets are pretty good, you just have to learn to eat
them in moderation," He told her, trying to help his cousin a
bit. "Too many sweets and you'll crash and feel horrible,"
"He's right about that," Adan said, recalling when he'd gotten
into a box of chocolates at 6 and eaten so much that he'd been
       sick for the next day.
Zan chuckled at Eden's bringing up going to Atlantis and Solis
telling her not without an adult. It was a bit amusing to see
the teenager act like a father figure to Eden. "For the lot of
you, you'd want more than one," He added with a wink.
Both Adan and Snow didn't seem off put by her story about
fishing for rabivores or that she'd saved a foot for a lucky
       charm.
"Nice..those things are really nasty," Adan said. "I might have
a chain you could use to put it on." He offered.
When their time in the new hangout ended; Adan wasn't nearly as
frightened when Solis took him down. "Thanks, that was fun." He
tucked the big book under his arm, a bit eager to finish dinner
so he could continue reading through it.
"Good game Cuz, we'll have to play again soon," Snow told Solis,
waiting for Eden to be ready to go.
Adan's face went a bit pink from her kiss, but this time he
       leaned into it a bit.
Snow held back a chuckle and leaned down when she came over to
him. "I feel the same way, and I'm pretty sure Adan does too. He
just needs some time to get the words out," He whispered in a
       lower voice.
       [hr]
Dinner with Solis' family actually went rather well. Zan had
been a bit nervous, remembering the huge Halder, but the moment
they stepped into the house; the man had greeted them both with
       a wide grin.
"Come inside, Inga and the rest are in the kitchen," Halder said
and slapped Zan's shoulder a bit hard.
"Rest?" He asked, shooting a look at Solis.
"We're the official first responders for kids and teens that
need a temporary home. Though..we usually end up adopting them
as our own," Halder admitted freely.
Zan couldn't help but like the man at this. They entered the
dining room, and a blonde-haired woman with a young girl on one
hip directed them where to sit. Thankfully, She didn't split Zan
and Solis up, giving them two chairs next to each other.
"Dove! No..you little monkey!" She exclaimed when the little
girl let got away from her and climbed up into Zan's lap.
"It's fine," Zan replied with a chuckle. "Well hello, there
little monkey." He said and made a funny face at the
       three-year-old.
Dove let out a happy giggle and smacked his cheeks with her
       pudgy little hands. "Again!'
Halder and Inga were staring, looking a bit shocked. The two
other teens; a dark-haired girl, and a white-haired boy also
       looked a bit surprised.
       "Well..you're officially Dove-approved," Inga said with a
chuckle. "You can give her back when you get tired of her,"
"Never gonna happen," Zan replied and settled the girl in his
lap. He fixed her crooked pigtail easily and then glanced up.
"Well..let's eat, I'm starving!" Halder said and took his seat
       next to Inga.
After their plates were filled, Zan getting more so he could
share with the little girl, the interrogation began.
Zan wasn't bothered by it, answering what he could..and fudging
a bit about other things. Halder and Inga seemed to not take
offense though; moving on to other subjects. Then it was time
for dessert and Inga insisted Solis help her bring it out.
Inga waited until they were out of earshot to pull Solis to the
side. "This is the one, snatch him up before someone else can
Solis. He's definitely one of a kind. You're lucky to have found
him this soon. It took me much longer to find Halder,"
In the dining room, Halder had asked the other two to take Dove
for a moment so he could talk to Zan alone. Zan wasn't quite
sure what to expect and flushed a bit when Halder asked if he
and Solis were sleeping together yet. The man looked a bit
uneasy about asking such a thing.
       "Sir.."
       "Halder, not sir."
"Halder..all we've done is kissing, holding hands, cuddling..and
once or twice passing out in one another's arms exhausted from
work," He explained. "I've told him we can wait until he is
ready. It has been a bit hard at times, but I'm not going to
start anything until he says so. I love him. I'd do anything for
       him."
The big man gulped a bit and nodded. "Good..that's..good." He
       said softly.
"You're a good man Zan. I"m glad Solis met you. Even though
you're both young; I am glad you know to wait. I wasn't soo
       smart."
The talk ended when Inga returned with Solis and what looked
like a sweet bread covered in honey and nuts.
"I haven't had one of those in ages!" Zan exclaimed, looking
quite happy. "It looks amazing Inga."
Inga grinned and turned to Solis. "Yeah..definitely keep this
       one."
       [hr]
Most didn't know that before the big ceremony, Snow and his
father had spent a day meditating high on one of the mountain
islands. This was where he saw what his spirit animal was..and
where Pyr showed up to meet him. The moment was life-changing
for Snow when they bonded soul to soul. His eyes flashed yellow
as they were connected, and saw himself through the red-tailed
       hawk's eyes.
Caltharas watched proudly as the hawk and his son were connected
and then moved in to place his hand on Snow's forehead and a
finger on the hawk's. It took him some time to link their minds
       to one another.
"You will communicate with one another through your thoughts. It
may feel odd at first..and Pyr's thoughts won't be like humans,
so may sound different," Caltharas told Snow.
Snow nodded solemnly. Hello Pyr, I am Snow.
Snow..snow..like on the mountains. The bird's mind sent back. A
       good name it is.
Snow smiled and lifted a finger to the bird's beak. May I touch
       you?
The bird's head twisted to one side, and then back. Not
       now..maybe later.
Snow lowered his hand and loosened his gloved hand so the bird
       could leave if he wanted.
       I'll see you tomorrow Pyr.
The hawk let out a screech and took off, its wings taking it
high up into the sky. Tomorrow..Pyr will come.
       [hr]
Everything leading up to the ceremony, Snow couldn't help but
feel was a bit over the top. He was glad that his first meeting
with Pyr had been in private. He wasn't sure how well the hawk
would react to the crowd and dignitaries that had come from all
       over for the occasion.
He very much liked the song and dance that Adan and Eden
performed together. They looked quite different in their fancy
clothes; Eden's pants and top were quite eye-catching and
glittering; Adan's a bit more subdued in a dark blue trimmed
with silver. The combination had him thinking of the night skies
       he'd seen in the desert.
Snow was happy when all the festivities ended and they went
outside, where Pyr flew down to land on his ornamental glove.
His eyes flashed a bright yellow as their bond was "officially"
established. The crowd made no cheers or loud noises but
acknowledged the bond by bowing their heads slightly.
Pyr let out a loud shriek and took off, making a bit of an
aerial display, showing off his powerful wings before returning
to land on Snow's shoulder and gently nibbling on Snow's
earring. Snow couldn't help but grin and raise his hand to Pyr's
head and ever so gently pet it with a finger.
Have fun with those aerial acrobatics? Snow asked.
Figured...I might as well. Not done yet, Pyr replied.
A moment later, birds of all sizes appeared in the sky, making
everyone gasp in amazement. After a rather glorious display of
aerial feats, the birds disappeared into the skies, letting
their approval known with a multitude of bird cries.
"Now that..was amazing," Caltharas exclaimed..more than a little
stunned by such a display. Nothing like this had ever happened
       before.
       [hr]
Adan was a little antsy about being with Jalal in the Emperor's
office to learn about translating. He stayed next to Jalal, just
out of sight when the King of Sands entered and took a seat
       across from the Emperor.
He was picking up on a few things as the two rulers made small
talk and spoke of the celebration. He couldn't help but frown
when Eden's singing and dancing was mentioned and praised quite
a bit by the visiting King. He'd noticed the man's son had been
a bit too interested in Eden himself and Adan had felt a strange
       feeling going through him.
When the talk went to trading and bartering; Adan let out a
small sigh. Now it'd just be boring talk for the next hour, he
couldn't help but think. He shifted in his seat, longingly
glancing over at the window wondering what Eden was doing.
"I agree to your trade," Caltharas finally said, and waited for
Jalal to interpret and then reached out to shake on the deal. He
glanced up Adan who looked a bit bored. "Also, I'd like to
introduce my foster son, Adan." He said motioning to him.
Adan instantly stood and bowed to the man once Jalal had
       introduced him.
"It is an honor to meet you," He said perfectly in the King's
language, making the man's eyebrows rise in surprise.
"How long have you known my language Prince Adan?" THe king of
Sands asked, looking him over curiously.
"I am still learning your majesty," Adan said a bit slower,
making sure to get the words right. "Jalal is a great teacher,"
He added giving a slight bow to his teacher. "He's been teaching
me your language for the last few weeks now,"
"Hmm...He must be if you've picked up so much in so little
       time," The King commented.
Caltharas shot a look at Jalal, a bit worried that Adan might be
giving away his gift. He knew just how valuable the boy's gift
would be to other Kings and Rulers. "How about we bring in some
refreshments? Adan..could you go tell Raoul?"
Adan's eyebrows twitched and he gave a bow to the Emperor and
moved to go out of the office to find Raoul. Behind him, he
could hear Jalal interpreting what the Emperor had said, and the
two rulers speaking a bit about their sons.
He passed on the Emperor's request and started to head back when
he spied a young red-haired boy resting on the long bench in the
hallway. He glanced around before he headed over. "Are you
feeling all right?" He asked with a look of concern when he saw
       the boy up close.
The young boy looked around his age and was rather pale and a
bit greenish around his eyes. As if he'd been sick for a long
       time and was still recovering.
"I don't think we've met yet. I'm Adan Tennere," He said and
       offered his hand.
       [hr]
Snow had been trying to avoid all the unattached royal girls and
their parents for the majority of the day. For some reason, they
all thought that now that he was bonded to Pyr, that it was open
season for making a match with him. He was quite pleased when
the next royal he was meeting with was Heiwa, his childhood
       friend.
He was a bit excited to catch up with her; and update her on his
new relationships. He hoped that she wouldn't be too
disappointed that he'd found Adan and Eden. Though he was pretty
sure she'd be happy for him; she was the first person he'd told
that he liked boys and girls after all.
Snow headed to the private room where she was waiting and opened
the door and slipped in, trying to not attract attention from
the guards on her floor. It seemed that the Fae Queen was on the
       same floor as her.
"Heiwa, nice to see you," He said giving her a bow before moving
to take a seat on the long bench chair at the end of her bed.
"It has been far too long. I've been doing well, how about you?
Was your visit home a good one?"
At her last question, Snow faltered a bit, flashes of the battle
filling his head. "It..was tougher than I thought. I ended up
seeing my first battle. I..killed people." He said, and glanced
away, taking in a steadying breath. "Other than that..I learned
       a lot. Grew a lot..and..met two people I care a lot about."
After a short pause, he continued. "You may not have met them
formally yet, but you saw them perform at the ceremony. Adan, my
foster brother played the lyre, and Eden, the girl that danced
and sang. I think..they might be my people. I know it's really
soon to know that kind of thing...but I'm sure more every day.
I'll still need our pretend match for now..and until we're
older. I'm sure there would be those that don't understand or
       will accept it."
Snow frowned as Eden's voice came in through the open window and
moved to peer out at the garden where she was being chased by
Prince Malik. "That little snot," He scowled. "Sorry..I better
go and try and help her. He's such a spoiled brat..I really
don't like him at all. Eden's likely to break his nose if he
keeps this up," He sighed and then headed to the door. "You
could come with me if you want," He added looking to Heiwa. "I'd
like to introduce you to her and Adan. If..you feel up to it."
       [hr]
Katsu had been meditating in a secluded part of the garden when
he heard the raised voices and went to see what was going on. He
came out of his hidden spot and Eden nearly ran into him. He
didn't flinch as his faze fell on the Desert Prince who was
chasing her..and figured out after hearing her plea what was
       going on.
Katsu did the only thing he could do, he pulled Eden up off her
feet and settled her on his shoulder, and shot a look at the
Prince that had him finally stop moving. "Mind your manners,
Prince Malik. As Solis told you, your ways do not govern these
lands. You will not get your way. You can not claim a person as
your own. Here people are free to choose who they wish. Eden has
been quite clear about her choice."
Then he turned his gaze to the attendant, his eyes going hard.
"Deal with your charge properly or I will report you for failing
       at your job."
Katsu carried Eden away from the situation, taking her into the
castle, his face calm but his insides boiling at how the boy had
been treating Eden. He wasn't going to let the little spoiled
brat get away with this. Not if he could help it.
He set her on her feet outside the King's office and saw Adan
talking with another child down the hall. "Go..keep Adan
company. I need to have a word with the Emperor and the King of
Sands," Once she'd left, he knocked on the door and waited a
       moment.
Raoul opened it and moved back to let him in; knowing from the
expression on his face that Katsu wasn't going to wait.
Caltharas glanced up at Katsu and noted his expression. "Ah.
Katsu, you have something you wish to speak of?"
"Surely you heard the cries outside your Majesties,"
Caltharas waited for Jalal to interpret and then nodded, as did
the King of Sands. "We were talking about that," he sighed.
"Well..know this, the next time his son accosts Eden, he'd
better know the consequences. I will not tolerate anyone forcing
her in any way. I don't care who they are." Katsu waited for
this to be translated then turned his eyes to the visiting king.
"I know your ways are different, and you love your son. I know
my threatening him angers you and you are not pleased. I can see
that. However, a spoiled child easily becomes a king that's a
bully. Consider that carefully. In history, bullies are taken
down by their own people. Perhaps if you can find a way to
educate your son better, he will live a long and full life."
Katsu bowed to both men and left without another word. He'd deal
with whatever fallout he received from speaking in such a way.
He really didn't care what might happen. Eden needed someone to
stand up for her and speak for her.
He wasn't all that surprised to find Snow approaching with Heiwa
heading towards Eden and Adan when he came out of the office. He
nodded to them and headed off to find Arnar and tell him he was
ready to marry. They'd waited far too long..and if this was his
last day alive he might as well make the most of it.

Damon was taking a minute in the hallway. The poor boy couldn’t
take the crowd. He was looking at his feet some when he heard a
voice. The boy blinked to look up.”h..hi? Damon.. thunder.” He
said and shook Adan’s hand. He seemed to look around as he was
feeling nausea to force it down some.”sorry I would have stayed
by my handlers but crowds isn’t my thing.”
Heiwa listened intently to snow. Her eyes softened greatly as he
mentioned of his visit. “It’s never easy- being a first prince.”
She said softly and stood up to walk over. Heiwa heard about him
finding two people to feel her own heart squeeze. The more snow
talked the more Heiwa hurt just a bit more but he was right- no
one would know until one got older if it was still there. She
let out a breath.”you know I’ll continue to keep you from
dealing with the others.. you’re doing me a favor too.” She said
as she walked to the window to see a girl running around.”wait..
she hits?” She asked to follow him.”think I can help her a
little too- maybe make friends.” Said the girl with a rather
disgusted look at the boy.”a man who knows not the word no
should earn a proper slap! And yes I’d love to meet them..”
The attendant went over to gently grab Malik’s hand.”I
apologize!” Started the man to see him walk off with a relieved
Eden in his shoulder. They arrived inside the castle as Eden
felt herself sat down and nodded.”okay.. thank you.” She said
with a smile. She noticed Adan and a red long haired child from
behind. She puffed some not knowing who it was. But it seemed
       Adan was being friendly.
       [hr]
The king of sands made a serious look. He listened as the man
spoke he covered his face after Katsu had left.”I apologize for
my son- normally in our ways the females do rear them till 13,
then kind of thrown into training.I will deal with his behavior
as to not allow this again- I say this on the honor of my
father, and the spirit of my mother.” Responded the man as he
noted Jalal who was translating was rather strained.
It hit him.”and I apologize to you as the girls father- I make
the same path to you..“ Jalal’s head snapped toward him.”it’s
not hard to tell a stance of a father- a protective one at
that.. if you so wish you may instill some fear in the boy.”
Jalal shook his head.”as long as you teach him how to handle
himself in other countries and particularly in the ways of love-
I am well aware of where I live now.” Jalal answered back.
The king of sands made a soft nod.”I’ll need to change his
attendant I agreed to that one because of his mother- Sahim!” He
called to a large man that came up.”take place of the current
attendant- I know that boy will straighten up with you while I
finish. The burly man bowed as he was showed the way toward the
       gardens by Khali.
There the boy was given a strict lecture and knew he’d get
another soon from his father with a look on his face.”and if
they will it you’ll apologize to that young girl! Desert ways do
not apply!” Said sahim before giving a flick to the boys head as
he held it.”yes sir..” he said as Khali seemed rather pleased
       with the outcome.
       [hr]
Meanwhile as Eden approached she called Adan’s name to see the
other child turn at the sound of the girls voice. His eyes went
in absolute shock, and his mouth slacked. Eden on the other end
of the hall- her mouth slacked as well. She went to turn as the
boy grabbed her arm.”Ayla wait! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to say
it!” She heard and turned her head.”I didn’t want you to
       disappear! I was frustrated! A..and I thought I lost.. “ he
started to hyperventilate and Eden noticed.
Thoughts flashed of Eden with the monster.”when did you.. cut
your hair…” he asked as he had a rather strange look before she
yanked her arm.”what are you talking about! You told me I was
better off dead in the desert last we spoke!” Eden said backing
       up. Damon made a stranger look.”when did I say…” a few more
flashes went by of him coming to seeing his dead moms face, and
then… he saw a burly man walking out and paled almost
       immediately.
A flash of a very angry dark haired man- with glowing eyes came
up.”no..” he started. His body went into flight mode, but as he
did so had grabbed Eden’s arm to start running. Despite how
panicked he was- some part of him was wanting to protect Eden-
that resulted in one of the elves coming out from the room they
were waiting in.”Damon! Calm down!” Orpheus started as he grew
concerned of the girl he wouldn’t let go.
Damon then yanked Eden another direction. Then it hit her.. he
was acting like snow- but he wasn’t fighting.. she switched her
stance to yank Damon back and caught him in a hug.”I’m not
disappearing.” Said Eden solidly.”but I’m not Ayla anymore got
it? I’m eden.” She said as Damon felt the hug. Orpheus felt
flabbergasted not knowing Eden was the long lost twin not just
due to her changes of appearance, but the fact her eyes were
hidden, and she was tan from being in the sun from what he saw.
       [hr]
Arnar was in the library, as he was pulling some books off the
shelves for another kingdom that had requested information. He
was getting things on the cart as he fumbled through some of
them to approve them okay to use.
It was common to hand information out- but they were smart and
gave only information that were just behind them by a year. But
even then it helped nations prosper a bit more than they had.

Adan gave the boy a friendly look, shaking his hand gently.
"Nice to meet you, Damon," he said. He wasn't sure why, but
pulled out one of the peppermint candies that Snow kept
supplying him with. From always being nauseous, he could tell
that Damon was going through the same thing.
He held it out to the red-headed boy and nodded in
understanding. "This might help with your nausea, I'm that way
with bigger crowds too. I was supposed to do a song on my own
for the ceremony...but I started having a panic attack just
       thinking about it."
       [hr]
Snow wasn't so sure why, but he could tell that his words were
hurting his friend. Was it possible that she had feelings for
him? "No it isn't," He sighed looking down at her.
"I do care about you, I'm sorry it's not in the way you feel
about me," he said softly. He laughed at her sound of surprise
at Eden hitting. "Yeah, she's got a great left hook," Snow
replied with a fond look down at Eden.
He was rather pleased and happy to hear that Heiwa wanted to try
and be friends with Eden. "I haven't told them yet about
our..secret. But I was planning on it. I'm glad that you don't
hate me or them. I should have told you sooner." He held the
door open for her and then they went down together to find Adan
       and Eden.
       [hr]
The emperor had never heard Katsu speak in such a way, though he
did agree with what the instructor had to say. He could tell
that the King was embarrassed by what had happened. He nodded as
Jalal interpreted what the man was saying.
He didn't say anything, seeing that the King had realized that
Jalal was Eden's father, and addressed him. While Caltharas
didn't understand the words, he was pretty sure he knew what
they were saying. He was more than a little impressed by the
burly man that the King chose to attend to his son. If that one
didn't get the boy into shape, he'd be surprised.
       [hr]
Adan turned when he heard Eden calling and smiled, waving at
her. He turned to look at Damon and saw the boy's reaction.
"Hey! Don't touch her!" He protested when the boy suddenly
       grabbed her arm.
Snow's eyes flashed, thinking Damon was going to be a repeat of
the incident Eden had had with Malik, But then..stopped when he
saw the strange looks that flashed over the boy's face. "Adan,
wait," Snow said moving to stop him. "He's reacting like I
       did..that day."
Adan came up short, realizing Snow was right, seeing the
panicked look on Damon's face. That didn't stop him from wanting
to follow after the panicked Damon. The boy obviously needed
       help.
"So what do we do then?"
The appearance of an elf telling the boy to calm down, made Adan
pause. Elves? here? Something serious must be going on with
       Damon.
The sound of a flute playing wafted out of the room behind the
blonde elf, and a second, dark-haired one stepped out as he
played a calming tune to help Damon come out of his flashback
episode. The poor boy had been having more of them lately, and
music was one of the only things that seemed to help.
He eyed the girl that was hugging him; which seemed to be
helping just as much. There seemed to be something familiar, but
he couldn't quite place it just yet. The more he played the
melody; the more Damon's body relaxed and his eyes eventually
       closed.
       [hr]
Katsu entered the library and began searching the stacks,
peering down the long shelves of books before he finally located
Arnar. The man was rather distracted from working hard at his
job, so he didn't know Katsu was there until the man wrapped his
arms around the other's waist and pressed his face into Arnar's
       neck.
"Missed you," He mumbled, thinking of how he should propose to
the man. he wanted it to be special, not just something he
blurted out. Katsu pulled and turned Arnar around to face him,
taking the book out of his hand and placing it on the cart. "I
have something I want to ask you,"
