Jalal smiled as the boys said their oath. Eden doing hers meant
he knew she’d be keeping her word about not sneaking off to tune
again on her own- granted her let her hold onto a few stones to
learn on more, with the green, and water stones.
Jalal made a big smile at snows words trying to not remember
last night and slid his mask off for the boys to see his eyes.
This was one of those things and he could see her trying to
shrink away a little and heard his noise to straighten up.
“Eden- with the acception of the fire, and lightning. You’re
allowed to tune with the brittle stones.Overdo it and you’ll
feel it.” Eden shrunk again. Out of the many tuning stones he
had, fire and lightning were considered dangerous and had to be
treated carefully. Most potentially could be dangerous if not
handled right, but one would live compared to those two. The man
slipped over and laid out some unrefined brittle stones, Eden
went one by one. She held one that looked like adan’s but
smaller she made firm strong moves, as small pebbles came up and
hit a hanging wooden plank. It sounded as she had hit it. She
continued with the green, her hands moving as if she was a
praying manatee for the flowers to bloom, and her shifting to
make it grow along a broken stone path to their home.
She then looked at water and ice- she looked at her master who
gave a nod as she took both. He movements with the water, near a
small pond of their cottage. Moved to make a water bubble, she
focused trying to keep it from destablizing to make a miniature
version of silu, then went from fluid motions to light and airy
like the snowflakes going to the ground. The figure had solid
form and she smiled a bit”Eden one more.” She got a bit too
confident as she got to the wind. She glided her hands almost as
if she was soaring her arms wide and big. She tried imagining
hoovering like Jalal did that day before she took off in a weird
direction, and up- she launched a bit toward the pond as she
ended up dropping in. She sputtered coming up.”I’m ok!” She
called out. Once she had a moment she did the last few leaving
out that was not permitted.
“As you can see Eden can do it all.” He told the boys. “And
she’s also going to serve as an example as to why to not tune on
your own- she did lightning last night - your master - li saved
her from an Ill mistake that could of not let her be here today.
“ Eden deflated looking guilty.”she has the potential for the
more dangerous ones, but this girl is also one you wouldn’t see
but every 500 years.” Eden’s ears perked up and looked at Jalal
as this information was new to her.
“So please boys as she learns by you, and bring her friends-
keep her out of trouble” he said with a small smile. “Now, li
will be helping with movements as martial arts is apart of
tuning- don’t just focus on the ones that make your tuning work,
as all have a good way to keep moving and prep for another way.
And like I said before is part of everyday life. Those stones
are yours for good, but for the first few weeks, keep tuning
within your lessons unless I or Li give special permission to
practice outside class time. You’re also welcome to join us much
earlier in the morning- Eden and I normally do warm ups during
that time and it wouldn’t hurt for extra practice.” He said to
the boys.
He looked at Eden to move his head toward the cottage. She ran
in and looked around before finding some notebooks Jalal had
worked on before bed to grab them. She walked out to give the
boys each one.”these are notes on every stone and what they do.
It’s important to know them all nonetheless as you will need to
counter with your own and understand their strengths and
weaknesses. Katsu will recognize this fact, and yes even the
more dangerous ones. Meditation is also a must, you need to
learn to control your emotions- it can affect your tuning as
well as you saw Eden launched in the water due to her
excitement.” He said as she rubbed the back off her hair. Adan’s
notebook would be fully in jalal’s language given what happened
last night- as for snow- safety and warnings would be in audoran
but the rest in jalals language.
Once he was done he picked up the lightning stone Eden had last
night and handed it to li.”figured it be best if her teacher for
this held onto this. I can handle the other one fire.” He said
with a nod.”the rest she can go in between- but I do warn to
give space between all three or you’ll have a mess to deal
with.” Said Jalal with a chuckle.

Adan shivered a bit when Jalal pulled his mask off, realizing
that whatever they saw or heard next he and Snow would need to
keep it a secret. He turned to look at Snow and saw the older
boy's face take on a serious expression while he waited for
Jalal to say more.
Their attention turned to Eden when Jalal spoke to her. Snow's
brows narrowed slightly when Jalal told her to not use two
stones. Had something happened with those two before?
Adan couldn't help but gasp when she picked up a similar stone
as his own and after making a few moves, made several pebbles
come flying into a wood plank. That was possible? That was soo
cool. He thought.
Snow was starting to get the feeling that Eden was somehow
special when she worked her way through several stones; showing
off what she could do. It was amazing to watch, and he couldn't
help but be impressed to see her tuning abilities in action. He
couldn't help but get a bit excited when she turned the water
into snow. That might be something he'd be doing soon enough.
Adan tried to not laugh out loud when Eden fell into the pond
and failed. He looked a bit apologetic about it afterward and
saw even Snow was grinning at the mishap.
Both of them sobered when Jalal told them what she'd done the
night before. Adan shot a look of shock at Eden. "She almost
died?" He asked in a very low voice.
Snow's gaze shot up at Katsu, a look of surprise at hearing his
Sensei was a tuner as well. He felt a bit annoyed to learn this
way, instead of Katsu telling him.
Adan's fear slowly ebbed away a gleam of intrigue showing in his
eyes when Jalal told them that Eden's skills were actually
rather rare. The man had seen so much, and being that Jalal was
quite old himself, made Adan want to pick the man's mind more.
"Of course Master Jalal," Adan said, very much wanting to help
Eden in any way he could. He couldn't help but shoot a look up
at Snow, wondering if the older boy would actually help in the
same way. He had the feeling he'd encourage Eden to be more
reckless.
Snow felt Adan's eyes on him and rolled his eyes. "I will do my
best," He promised. "I'm kind of restless at times though," He
added, so Jalal would know if anything did happen..it wasn't
because he was really bad.
Katsu let out a soft chuckle. "A little? Honestly, though,
Snow's mellowed since he was Eden's age. He'll make sure to keep
Eden safe," he reassured Jalal. "And Adan as well."
While Adan wasn't really wanting to start earlier in the
morning..he knew that eventually, he'd probably do it. He just
needed to get acclimated to a new schedule. He blinked when he
felt Snow bump his shoulder against his and glanced up.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure to wake you up for the extra early
practices," Snow told him with a wide grin.
Adan groaned a bit at that. "Why does everything have to be soo
early?" He couldn't help but ask and then covered his mouth as a
yawn escaped his mouth.
Adan was happy to accept the notebook that Eden brought back,
opening it to look over the words. Snow took the one offered
him, nodding at Jalal's explanation, and then frowned when he
realized he couldn't make out most of the words. "What language
is this in?" He asked squinting as if that would help him read
it better.
"It's a dead language..or was," Adan piped up, "Don't worry, I
can help you. I'm really good with languages."
This didn't surprise Snow that much. "Seems like you're good at
all academics." He said with a sigh and closed his notebook.
Adan blinked and glanced up with a thoughtful look. "Not
everything..just what interests me. You're probably just better
at different ways of learning than I am."
Katsu accepted the stone, slipping it into a small drawstring
pouch he wore around his neck. "Yes, that is a good plan. It
might be good to practice here in the garden." He said
thoughtfully and then led the boys and Eden to an open space and
had them spread out so they were a good two feet from each
other.
He led them through the basic motions, taking his time
correcting Adan and Eden's moves when he needed to. Snow helped
when he could, demonstrating the moves easily. When Katsu was
satisfied with their practice he had Snow come up and they had a
demonstration of the movements in action.
Snow's movements were a bit faster, as he countered and parried
the master's blows. He did rather well, though he was a bit
rusty from not doing them as much during his travels. "Not bad,
but you'll need to get in more practice if you want to get to
your next belt," Katsu told him, as they bowed to one another.
"Best be getting along, get a real breakfast in before your next
classes," He advised before heading back to the guard house.
Snow flushed, knowing his master was right. "Yes, Sensei. Will
Eden be joining us for our other classes Master Jalal?" Snow
asked politely, not wanting to dash off and leave her behind.

Jalal nodded.”I also be teaching languages so you’ll understand
snow.” He told the boy. Once things were settled, Eden learned
quickly. She managed to get Adan to give in and practice a
little- slow at first. She corrected his hand movement a little
and seemed to be enjoying herself.
She heard the boys ask as Jalal nodded.”. She will be learning
most with you- just.. not etiquette outside of music, and
dancing.” He said and saw Eden perk up some.”music?” She said
and made a smile.
Eden chuckled once the answer was given to go change quickly.
She came out in some simple poofy pants and a tan shirt that was
more to auldora fashion. She went with the boys to eat only
taking just a little as she heard a voice wafting out.
“Yes sir! I will sir!” Said Alexander to the man he was squire
for. The boy was found to be talented, and seemed to be of
proper manner. Little did anyone know of his true side. He
walked in to notice Eden, and did a once over to smile at her to
wave. Eden always looking to be new friends waved back a bit shy
like. The boy continued to be served some food and sat down.
The chatter continued as they ate to see Khali and made a
knowing smirk. It had been quite some time since she seen him.
She remembered how he was with her twin when he was training
him- given they were allowed lessons the moment they turned 7.
“What’s the next class?”asked, and once one the boys answered
her head motioned a little tilting then touched her chin
tapping. She felt she knew how to fight just fine. She then
shrugged to eat more. They finished their meal and got up Eden
going to take care of her things to see her stuff taken by
servants- it was clear from her body language she wasn’t quite
use to the idea of that.
Then they headed out Eden grabbed Snow’s hand this time.”show
me?” She asked. Alexander saw this and inwardly felt a bit sick
knowing this girl was this close to the prince. The fact she was
touching him felt more than disrespectful in his eyes.
Next was swordsmanship, Khali had planned on assessing from the
general group, he expected three to come up for sure and stood
waiting as Eden walked with the boys into the practice area
taking in the area.
She stepped to stand by Adan to be blocked off by a golden
haired girl grinning from ear to ear, and a taller darker haired
girl grinning as well. Eden shrank a little being shy.
“Hello my names glow!” Said the golden haired girl.”what’s your
name?” She heard and seemed to play with part of her tie of her
mask.” Mine is..Eden.” She managed to say.
She heard chatter of a few kids with the one she saw when snow
and her ate for him to come and stand next to the girls and saw
the dark haired one seeming annoyed at him, while the other..
seemed to be blushing? Eden just shifted her head a bit as the
boy seemed friendly.
“Hello!” She heard as the boy bowed deeply to the prince,
noticed Adan to make a small inquisitive look as he came up and
bowed to the girls. Eden’s head shifted some.”I’m Eden what’s
your name?” She said as the boy looked at the girl in the mask
to feel a bit of disdain at seeing what to him was another
uncivilized girl in the castle. Though one wouldn’t know from
the smile on his face.”Alexander Marcus McCullen the third.” He
said, as he grabbed her hand, out of how their ways where they
often kiss the woman’s hand to see it ripped out and her holding
her own hand and backing up a little.
Eden said back without restraint.”that’s a mouthful- can I call
you Alex?”
The boy’s eye twitched just a little as he smiled
politely.”Alexander would be just fine. Did I offend you?” He
asked as he was a bit relieved she was this way, sparing him
from dealing with her.
Eden’s head shook as if she said no, and then titled a little as
if she was considering it.”okay Alexander.” Before more talk
would be had, Khali had called them over.
Eden recognizing the man now that she gotten closer, put herself
after snow and he would hear a small giggle as she told
him.”he’s gonna use his weak arm - his left to test us- you
should totally ask him to do his right one. If you want him to
be a challenge.”She mumbled to him. “He tends to figure out
where we are all at.”she said and smiled.”I wanna go last.” She
already was forming one of her little plots in her mind already.
The man was part of the anubi after all.

Snow shot Eden a smile, happy to hear that she'd be in the
majorityof their classes. He would have liked to mingle with
more of the kids his age; but his parents had insisted he use
his private teachers for most of his instructions. Save for the
swordsmanship classes. All of the kids and a few of the younger
squires in training attended the class together.
"Great, we'll wait for her to get changed before we head back.
Adan and I will have have time to change before our
swordsmanship class," Snow replied. He grinned hearing Eden's
inquiry about music. "Yes, we have music lessons. If you wnat to
learn a new instrument, Monsieur Dumont will teach you."
Adan was eager to find out what classes there would be; and
tried to not be too disappointed when he learned the next one
was a swordsmanship class. He had the feeling that the structure
that had been established for Snow was because the older boy had
a lot of energy and needed to get it out at the beginning of the
day.
Snow led them back to the castle, deciding to grab some
breakfast. They were seated at one of the long benches near the
kitchens, and served food by one of the servants. Snow was
distracted by some of the other kids welcoming him back; and a
few inquired about Adan and Eden with curious looks.
He fielded their questions as best as he could while eating, far
too distracted to notice Eden's interaction with Alexander. Had
he seen it, he would have made sure to warn her about the boy.
He led Adan off a little while later to get changed and returned
to find Eden standing with Glo and another girl. He wasn't quite
sure who she was..as he hadnt met her before.
"Is he going to test us one at a time?" Adan asked Snow, feeling
a bit nervous about having to perform in front of strangers. If
it had been just Snow and Eden he wouldn't really be feeling
like this. He glanced around rubbing his hands.
Snow was going to answer him, when Eden piped up from his other
side, telling them about his left arm was being weaker. He
couldn't help but grin a bit when she answered Adan's question
for him.
"It won't be that bad," He reassured Adan. "We can switch places
so you can be second to last," He added.
Adan looked at the others in front of him..and then slowly shook
his head, sighing. "I think I'd rather go before you," He
replied and straightened up, squaring his shoulders, correcting
his posture.
Of course, Snow didn't know how Khali taught, or if he would
pick students in order. The young man could choose them
randomly.

Alexander heard the call and went forward. From how he held
himself showed him for sure training as a knight. Khali felt the
blows he caught with his left, feeling the boy would benefit
with the special class given his moves, “fighting back.” Khali
called as he clanged a bit with the boy, he rolled as he dodged
a hit to make a point to the man’s side and smiled.”good go ,
next! Kiya!” called.
He found the girls moves chaotic almost as if a berserker. Her
going at it with two blades felt interesting to him as she
managed to make him step back a few times- even managing to make
him flip to his right hand to drive her back. The only problem
he felt was it lacked defense- as he managed to tap the girl
showing she lost.
Out of the group so far, glow, kiya, and Alexander showed
promise. He then turned to see the red head had shifted to the
end of the line and chuckled just a little.”Adan.. want to go
next?”
Khali readied himself as he noticed how Adan had some fencing
skills, the parries, and how he came forward was apparent to
Khali- while the boy already had a spot in the group much like
snow- he knew what kind of plan to go for. He made his own brisk
strokes accommodating to Adan and found the boy had landed a
hit.”well done.” He said with a smile.”may need to up your speed
some..” he said thoughtfully.”maybe even teach you to hit
harder.”
Then he looked at snow, but he decided to try to thwart the
troublemaker instead.”Eden!” He called out and her face was
clear that wasn’t suppose to happen.
“Fine!” She called out with a frown on her mouth.
Eden’s turn came up, and she began to bounce from left to right.
Khali called for her to go forward as she looked at one hand and
turned to snow.”can I borrow your practice sword?”
Once handed she rolled her shoulders some. “Sorry one blade
isn’t enough for me.” Said Eden honestly.
You first then- then me.. then whammy? End said to her.
Eden seemed to nod to herself as she took off at Khali’s go
call. He found it interesting to see her use her blades to block
and attack accordingly, Eden tested the resistance and gave a
good whack at the blade causing Khali to switch to his
right.”again.” He stated a bit surprised at how she managed to
make his left move.
Eden went to hit and whack again as end slowly came in. As that
happened it was clear her moves were more chaotic, as he moved
his left arm more to block, and almost didn’t see a foot fly out
to catch it with his right.
“this is swordery..” he started as a chill ran in his blood at
her response in a tone that wasn’t like at all- the cheerful
Eden. This one seemed colder, and more confident.”bad guys don’t
follow the rules.” Khali couldn’t dispute her words, pushing
her back.”then proceed.” He now was curious at the sudden change
in the quiet girl that shrunk from glow from what he saw.
Eden’s blades switched as she crossed them in front as end and
Eden started to work together.”then fight back- blocking is so
boring.” Said Eden as she took off. He watched her little body
spin and put the blade to block as it hit hard, and the other
coming for him to deflect the one he blocked and blocked the
other.
As the little spar continued - Jalal was walking with
Katsu.”yeah.. you wouldn’t believe it, she had managed to get
caught by a ravager, thankfully Scar the leader in training -
managed to knock some sense into the man. “ he said with a sigh,
he was catching up some with him, and Arnar not that far behind.
He took notice of the fight and seemed to tap his chin.”seems
they decided to go and play..” he said and folded his arms some
to watch a little.
Khali now had stepped back then a few steps as the hits seemed
quick. Then he was forced to hit one back and went to the
offense. He was suprised at how she twisted and flowed avoiding
his blows- but he managed to spin and tap her from behind. He
felt he was seeing more of a dance- than an actual fight given
she used her entire body to attack rather than just the blades.
“I win!” He said as the girl made a disappointed noise. He
couldn’t help but feel she was moving twice faster than the
other kids, so far- almost as if she was seeing possible motions
and moving at the right moment. Khali covered his mouth some.
He saw Jalal and his small grin. He knew he’d need to talk to
him about this small red head. Though he suspected her of having
double thinking- which some would believe was another
personality.
“Snow your up.” He called out as he watched the girl hand it
back to snow grumbling on the way back.

Adan couldn't help but feel that his skills were subpar to those
that went ahead of him. He was more than a little in awe of the
girl with the two blades in how fast she moved, and how her
moves didn't seem to make sense. Though..he could tell she was
more skilled in offensive moves than defense. Almost like she
had a death wish.
The girl bowed her head, not seeming to care that she was
sweating as she stepped back into line and sheath her two
blades. Hearing his name called had him a nod, though his heart
was beating wildly in his chest. He used every bit of what he
knew from what he'd learned at his military academy. His moves
were a bit more precise and sharper than Alexander's. He was a
bit pleased to manage one hit, stepped back, and nodded at
KHali's assessment. He already knew he was too cautious when it
came to fighting..and he did need to work on his speed.
He was a bit surprised when Khali called on Eden, skipping over
Snow. Though Snow didn't seem to react to having to go last.
Snow flipped his blade around and held it out to Eden when she
asked to borrow it. He couldn't help but smile, thinking that
Eden was wanting to show off a bit. It wouldn't surprise him if
she was more skilled than she appeared. As the fight continued;
Snow got the sense that there was something different about the
way Eden was moving.

Katsu nodded at what Jalal was saying as they neared the
training arena that the younger kids used for training. "That's
good. It could have been much worse if he hadn't." He commented,
his eyes shifting to the fight going on between Khali and the
pint-sized girl.
"Play?" He echoed, more than a little impressed by how skilled
the child was. She was giving Khali quite a workout. this was
the most he's seen the younger man move during a training
workout.
"She's quite skilled for her age," He commented once the fight
had finished.
His gaze went to the Prince when Khali had called on him. "Shall
we stay and watch? I'm interested in seeing how much Snow
learned from Halder and his men during their travels," He said
and looked at his lover and Jalal.
Snow accepted his practice sword from Eden, and gave Khali a
thoughtful look. "Are you sure you don't want a bit of a rest
first?" He asked, trying to be courteous seeing the man was
sweating now..and was probably in need of a drink. "Or maybe
some water?"
Khali seemed to take this as an insult, insisting on Snow not
delaying. Snow got a distinct feeling that Khali thought that
he'd only done this to make him look weak. He shrugged his
shoulders, and moved forwards, waiting for Khali to tell him to
begin.
Their blades met in a flash and flurry of movement, Snow's body
twisting and flowing a bit like Eden's but he put more power
behind his blows. Things were going well..until memories of the
horrible battle flashed through his mind. All the sounds of
battle, the screams, the smell of blood, the dust
everywhere..and his uncle's harsh words filled him.
"It isn't fighting dirty Snow, it's surviving..don't think..just
fight and kill,"
Snow's eyes flashed gold for a moment and his body moved faster,
his blows harder, desperation filling his head. He didn't see
Khali, he saw an enemy that was trying to kill him. Snow's mouth
twisted as he kicked Khali in the inside of his leg, and dug the
sword's handle into the other's ribs. "Die you fanatic scum,"
Snow spat out, using the words he'd learned while in the desert.
None of the students would know what he was saying. Though Jalal
and Eden would.
Katsu swore, noticing that Snow seemed out of control..and his
use of the strange words made him realize what was going
on..albeit a bit late. "Fu.ck, we need to stop this now. Snow's
in some sort of flashback, he's not in control of himself." He
quickly made his way over to the fight.
While he didn't doubt Khali's abilities, he knew that in this
state of mind, Snow wasn't going to stop unless he was hurt or
knocked out. Which could only cause more problems for him.
"Khali you've got to stop him without hurting him.. try knocking
him out," He called out, trying to wait for a moment to slip in,
but their blades were moving far too quickly.

Eden watched as the fight went- impressed at how snow was doing
to turn and see her master some to grin.
Meanwhile, the man explained.”Eden suffered a traumatic event in
the desert , it triggered her bloodline ability that is only
known to the thunders- think of it as double thinking- Eden
calls her other mind end. “ said Jalal to Katsu.
The two watched till it became apparent of what was going on-
Jalal noticed it right away given how long he lived to see many
friends go through it- even Eden herself.
Khali heard the venom in the boys voice as he felt the handle to
step back. He heard the man as his own hands were occupied
blocking what he could, what he didn’t expect was a blur of red
blocking snows one blade away.
Jalal took off with katsu and took off by his wind making it in
time to knock snow out. He lifted the boy some and walked with
him briskley away. Eden trailed behind worriedly.”is snow okay?”
She asked as Khali shouted it was over and to take a break. He
grabbed a water for snow when he came to, now worried knowing he
may have ptsd.
He knew it take time- but he would help snow through it- and
seeing those eyes? He wondered what kind of ability that was.

Adan had figured Snow would be more skilled..but the way the
older boy moved was close to how Eden had during her fight. Then
it was as if the boy became obsessed or filled with anger as he
suddenly added in moves that Adan knew were dirty. But hadn't
Snow been taught the same things he had in the academy?
The words..where had Snow learned those? He wondered and worried
realizing that Khali was having a hard time keeping Snow at bay
and not hurting him.
His head twisted towards the sound of Sensei Li's worried voice
calling out to Khali..and his mind figured out what was going
on. Snow must have seen or been in a battle while he'd been with
his uncle, and now he was reliving it. He let out a gasp when
Eden stole his blade and flew in to block Snow's flashing blade.
"Damn..she's fast," He heard the tall girl exclaim from next to
him and glanced up. "Yeah..glad she didn't get hurt," Adan said
softly. He winced when Snow was suddenly laid low by a blast of
wind from Jalal.
The other kids didn't seem to notice that it had been the wind;
thinking that Khali had knocked the Prince out with one of his
moves. Adan hurried after Jalal, not caring about if he'd be
late for his next class or not, he had to know that Snow would
be okay. "He's gonna need some friendly faces when he wakes up,
come on Eden," Adan said grabbing her hand and dragging her
after him.
The other kids looked shot looks after them; worry showing but
did as Khali had shouted and headed off elsewhere to take a
break.

Kiya's dark eyes followed the swords master and the strange man
taking Prince Snow away, her fingers stroking her hidden dagger
blade underneath her shirt. She would have gone after them, but
the fierce red-headed girl and the newcomer were following,
determined looks on their faces.
"Well...I doubt class is going to resume anytime soon, What
should we do to pass the time?" She asked turning to regard
Alexander and Glow. The other students had already left.
Most didn't know that the people pretending to be her parents
were actually her handlers. She'd long ago been orphaned and
taken in by a secret sect and had been undergoing training for
her entire life. While she liked her training and the skills
she'd picked up, it was nice to be around other kids her age for
a change.

Katsu followed Jalal, trying to think of what his clan had done
for warriors that suffered from this mental disease that Snow
had. It was quite common, unfortunately, and he felt bad that
the young man was already plagued with it. "Maybe I or someone
should tell his parents..and find the physician," He said
glancing to Arnar who had followed after them.
While he noticed Adan and Eden following, he didn't say
anything. It might actually help the boy to see the two. He'd
noticed earlier how the three had been getting along. It
wouldn't surprise him if they turned into great friends in time.
Snow's head was pounding and his ears were ringing. He could
feel arms lifting him up. He wasn't fully recovered, and let out
a soft groan when he was shifted and his head exploded into a
burst of pain. "Hurts.." He groaned out his right hand moving up
to cradle his head where it had been hit. "What...what
happened?" He asked, opening his eyes slowly. The bright sun
brought another pained sound from him, as made his head hurt
even worse.
He couldn't even recall what had happened. Just that he'd been
training with Khali, the new teacher.

Alexander looked a bit worried at how snow was- despite how he
was with others. He looked over at glow who got bright red at
his look, the worry melting away for the prince.
“Maybe we can practice with each other? I kinda feel like we
need to..” said glow and looked at the taller girl.”practice
with me?” She asked brightly.”Alexander?” She asked as the boy
smiled.”you and miss can.. I think I’m a little more worried
about our prince to really focus.” He lied. Seeing how fast Eden
was, and how she was kinda pissed him off- and more so at her
lack of fear of getting involved- which he himself lacked. He
froze at how snow was, he almost wanted to run himself as he
didn’t know how the boy really was.
Eden seemed to be someone he also felt unease from her tone. He
knew he had to let his parents know of it to see what to do to
gain favor with the family. He was often pressured to do better,
and be the best. And right now all he saw was threats to his
gain.

Arnar nodded.”I’ll make haste.” He said as he rushed off. He was
worried about the boy as well.
Khali gently touched the boys head and offered water.”drink some
it may help.” He told the young boy.
Jalal then asked as he took a cloth from his coat and wet it to
put it over the boys eyes as well to help curb the pain and
block the light.
Eden spoke up after hearing that was the last snow
remembered.”you’ll be ok.. your body just had a scary dream.”
Was the best thing she could explain it.
Jalal had already sat down on a bench and watched Eden take
snows hand.”I’m here okay? So is Adan”
“She is correct- seems you may be suffering from ptsd.” Said
Jalal gently.”take it easy for now boy- you might need to see
someone for the headache.” He said and looked at Katsu
after.”maybe we should move him to his room?” He asked.

Kiya gave Glo a pleased grin. "Yes, I'll gladly practice with
you. Though..we may want to switch to swords that won't hurt as
much. I am sure Master Khali would agree," She suggested.
She frowned hearing Squire Alexander call her Miss. She loathed
being called Miss. Just because she didn't have a last name, the
little pri.ck used that when talking to her. "Really?" She asked
in a slightly mocking tone. "How many times have I told you to
call me Kiya." She added, deciding to not call him out on being
a liar, though she knew he was.
"Why do I even bother with that little square," She muttered to
herself and moved to switch her real blades for wooden ones.
"You ready Glow?" She asked with a happier brighter tone and
moved to the practice area.

Snow accepted the water, drinking it down slowly. It helped a
bit, but his head was still aching a great deal. The cloth over
his eyes helped a bit more. Without the sun shining..his head
pain started to lessen even more.
"Scary dream while I was awake?" Snow asked, sounding a bit
confused.
Though he couldn't see Eden, he felt a bit relieved by her voice
and knowing she and Adan were there too.
Jalal's explanation helped a bit more. He'd heard of PTSD from
his uncles and had seen the effects of it a few times when he'd
been younger. "Oh..that's what she meant," He said softly,
"I know something that can help," Adan said from somewhere above
him..and Snow felt hands on the sides of his temple, gently
applying pressure.
Snow winced once or twice but could tell that whatever Adan was
doing was helping. His head was starting to feel much better
when his parents showed up a few moments later, the castle
physician with them.
"Oh Snow," His mother exclaimed softly, the worry heavy in her
voice.
"My poor baby,"
"Mother..." Snow protested. "Don't call me a baby," He insisted.
"Ah..good idea. pressure points can help relieve migraines and
headaches," The middle-aged physican murmured seeing Adan
working on Snow's head. "Where'd you learn to do that boy?"
"I read about it," Adan said and after working a few other
pressure points he moved back.
After a quick check over, the physician checking his eyes and
reflexes the man decided that Snow should try and rest his eyes
a bit.
"He shouldn't try and strain them too much or the headache can
come back. Music may help soothe it a bit more. And..we'll set
up some sessions to talk about what you went through. I do think
Meditation might help with it if either of you gentlemen would
mind setting that up for the Prince." Casper suggested glancing
up at Katsu and Jalal.
"I'm going to release him for his next classes, perhaps, Adan
was it? He can read aloud for the Prince for the day. If the
headache gets worse or your head starts hurting, take one of
these pills," The man added and handed a small bottle to Snow.
"All right, thank you, Doctor," Snow said, not wanting to move
his head too much. It seemed every small movement made it hurt
again.
The queen moved in to hug Snow, stroking her fingers over his
head and kissing his head. Snow let out a sigh, relaxing a bit
more, not wanting to admit that it actually made him feel
better. "You speak up, if your head hurts too much tell Arnar
and you can lay down if you need to."
The Emperor stayed silent, though he did hug Snow gently, the
worry showing on his own face. He held Snow close for a moment
and whispered to him. "A strong man knows when to ask for help.
It's not showing weakness, son," Then he pulled away. "You're
sure you feel well enough for your classes?"
Snow felt a bit better at hearing his father's words. "Yes
Father, I have a lot to learn and I don't want to fall behind."
The emperor nodded and took his wife's hand. "Try and take it
easy for the rest of the day at least. We'll see you later."
"Come on Adan, Eden, we have got history and math next," he was
pretty sure that Adan would be pleased by these classes.
