"Maybe a little something," Val replied, feeling his body heat
up at Dakota's very suggestive tone. "I like to really get to
know someone before going that far," He explained as he finished
typing in his contact info into the guy's phone.
He glanced over the number Dakota had given him, firmly placing
it in his memory in case something should happen to his phone.
It had become a habit of his after being stranded in the middle
of nowhere without a phone.
"Oh..you're talking about Guy's place, right? It's too bad about
the fire, but at least his insurance is covering all the
repairs. I wouldn't mind just staying here, the bars get too
noisy. I"m kind of hyper-aware and too many voices at once..can
be overwhelming. Bye, all means. let's see where this can go,"
Val replied, more than a little ready to see if their chemistry
was as strong as he suspected it might be.
He didn't have to wait but a few seconds before Dakota's hand
was grabbing his chin and Val felt the other's lips covering
his. He let out a groan, leaning into the sweet lips and kissing
Dakota back. "Not bad, but let's do that again," Val replied,
gripping Dakota's shirt with one hand and dragging him in for
another one.
This kiss was a bit more demanding and hot. He wouldn't have
minded just making out hotly for a while. It had been too long
since he'd kissed someone that tasted so amazing.
Val might come off as more..submissive at first, but he had a
dominant side as well. Usually, that didn't come out until he
was in the bedroom though. Even though his mind had kind of gone
to thinking of going further, he normally waited at least 6
months to see how their personalities worked. Though..Dakota was
making him question waiting so long.

Dakota felt the grab of his shirt and get the drag. He groaned
into the kiss and felt his other side wanting to come out to put
a lid on it. He met the man with just as much dominance as his
tongue wrestled with Val’s. His hand went around the man’s
middle to drag the rest of him closer, his mouth worked a bit
more as his own guttural noises sounded into them.
After a bit Dakota seperated and pushed his hair out of his
face. “Wow..” he said breathlessly. He wanted to take him to
bed but he knew better. Without knowing his other side? What
would he think if they bedded and he went female? How would he
react? He almost lost it with that sudden dominate kiss for
sure. “Love how dominate you are.” He said with a sexy smile.

Valiant was already turned on immensely, his body heating up as
their tongues tangled together. He pressed in deeper when
Dakota's hand went around him and drew him closer.
He gasped in a much-needed breath when Dakota finally pulled
back, doing what he hadn't been able to. He shivered, a needy
aching feeling going through him. This hadn't happened
before..and he couldn't help but wonder why.
What was it about Dakota that drew him in like a moth to a
flame? "Wow..is..right," He panted out between breaths. "You're
pretty dominant yourself, I like that. A lot. We both know where
this will go if we keep it up though. Maybe..we should..put a
little space between us, pick it back up when we meet later this
week?" He asked, hoping that Dakota wouldn't be too annoyed with
him putting the breaks on doing more.

“No.. that’s totally fine.” Said Dakota as he opened his shirt a
little feeling hot. He almost messed up and almost went woman!
That would have been too much of a shock. Or he felt that way.
Dakota smiled.”you have my number.. and I’ll see you for that
concert hm?” He asked with a smile.”you’ll be meeting my friend
Alice- she’s the fellow doctor I was talking about. “ he
explained. “We can meet after maybe at a diner or something?” He
asked with a hopeful look. Things felt just right to him, and
this man knew what he was doing.. now all he had to see was if
he’d feel the same about his female side.. he gave one last peck
on the cheek.”sound good?” He asked with a smile.

Val let out a sigh of relief. He was quite happy that Dakota was
all right with waiting, "Yes I do. If you want to talk or text,
we could do that before Saturday night." He suggested, somehow
liking the idea of not waiting almost a whole week to talk to
Dakota again.
"I remember, I do have a pretty good memory doc," Val replied
with a wink. "After the concert, I'm all yours," He promised.
"Dinner out..and maybe dessert at my place," He suggested, very
much hoping Dakota would be wanting the same thing he was.
Val's cheek heated from the light peck to his cheek. "Yeah, that
sounds good. Want to wait with me until my ride gets here?"

Saturday night had finally arrived and Val was buzzing with
anticipation. His friends and bandmates; Archer and Brennan and
the new backup guitarist Theo had picked up on his good mood
during the sound check.
"You're happier than normal," Archer said eyeing him.
"I've got a date after," Val said with a grin as he looked over
the music sheets for their set. "Oh yeah, keep an eye out for a
gorgeous brunette, my date's friend is going to come to watch
us. He gave me a picture of her,"
Val pulled out his phone to show the picture to the other guys.
"Damn she is gorgeous, is she single?" Theo asked after
whistling in appreciation.
"I am not sure. Dakota didn't mention that. We've got like
fifteen before they open the door. Do what you gotta do before
we start," Val told them, going back into his pro mode.
"Yes, boss," Archer and the others joked before they left to get
some water and take a short break in the staff employee room.
It might be a small venue, but Val always took any and all of
their gigs seriously. Everyone counted towards helping them
become better known and gain a bigger fan base.
Plus..he wanted the people that ran the venues to see them as a
professional band, not wannabes.
Val had already paid in advance for Dakota's friend, leaving her
name with the guy taking money at the door. Of course..the guy
had tried to get her number from him..which Val had refused. He
told him to try and get it himself he wanted it. Not that he
would admit it, but the girl's picture had drawn him in a bit.
It was a bit strange. Usually, this didn't happen when he was
interested in someone already.
"Ah well..just have to fight the temptation. I do not want to
screw things up with Dakota," Val said to himself. "You can be
friendly and nice, but nothing more,

Dakota gently smoothed her hair as she walked in. Her dress was
a soft blue which reached to her mid thigh. She didn’t think
time would pass by this quickly. She walked up to say her name-
only to get hit on.”uhm.. totally not interested.” She stated to
the man before she was walked in. She wanted to say she had a
date but she didn’t want Val to figure her out yet.
Dakota looked around a bit and felt a bit nervous. She just
hopes when it came out- Val wouldn’t be too terribly upset at
what she was doing. But it was make or break moment for her. Her
mind drifted to the kiss and how it felt.”please let this guy be
for sure the one..” she mumbled to herself as she got her purse
more up on herself.

It was five minutes before Facade was supposed to start when
Valiant spied Alice walk into the room. He raised a hand waving
at her and then jumped down from the stage and made his way over
to her.
The dress she wore hugged her body tightly, emphasizing her
curves perfectly. Val tried not to stare as he drew closer. "You
must be Dakota's friend Alice! I'm Valiant, nice to meet you.
Since you're my guest, you can sit up front if you'd like,"
It took him a moment or two of staring at her face to realize
something odd. Alice's eyes were the same color that Dakota's
were. He blinked, wondering if his mind was doing something to
him. "So...has anyone ever asked if you and Dakota were related
before?" He asked, feeling odd to bring it up. "Cause..your eyes
are the same color."
Val jerked at a hand on his shoulder and turned to see that
Archer, Theo, and Brennan had gathered behind him. "Introduce
us, Val," Theo insisted, looking at Alice far too eagerly.
Val pinched his nose and checked the clock. "Oh look at the
time, we need to get back on stage. Sorry to cut this short,
Alice. if you want, you can come back to join us after the set's
done. You all can introduce yourselves later," He insisted
pushing Theo towards the stage.

The woman held her breath a little as Valiant spoke. “Sure I
would love that! Said Dakota.
It wasn’t till he asked about their eye color that she almost
blushed.”we get that a lot -but..” she started to be cut off as
the men came over. Dakota shrunk a little bit overwhelmed seeing
the guys insisting on being introduced. This was the only
downside to her female form.. it always seemed to draw in more.
Dakota wondered if she could use that time to show Valiant..
granted the male form in a dress would be a bit funny. She
made her way to the front and smiled as she listened to his
music. She loved the sound of his voice and the fact it fit her
preferences made it even better. Her brilliant smile shown as
she felt she made her decision to tell him tonight or if they
happen to be alone backstage.. maybe then. Her cheeks were
flushed from the excitement of her own thoughts.
As the concert came to a close, the music was still thrumming
through Dakotas body as she made her way backstage.”that was
amazing! I’m so glad I was able to come!” Dakota said with a
smile. Of course Theo came in asking for her number.”I ah.. I’m
so sorry but I promised someone an after party date.” She said
flushing more as she noticed val to step closer to him.

All through their concert, Val couldn't take his eyes off of
Alice. She seemed to really get into the music, and enjoy it
quite a lot. Having her there to watch, helped him focus better
and not get distracted by other things. Like the crazy people
that threw clothes at him.
Val was still fighting against the great temptation the gorgeous
woman was as he headed down the stage and towards the back. He
grinned when he heard Alice's words and offered her his arm. It
was only polite, given the tall shoes she was wearing.
"I'm glad you could come," Val said with a smile. "Why don't..."
He was interrupted almost instantly by Theo getting in Alice's
face and trying to get her number.
Even after Alice had told him she had a date, Theo wouldn't back
off..which pissed Val off immensely. "Theo..you need to back up,
get out of her face. Now." Val insisted, moving protectively
closer, his eyes flashing.
Theo's eyes widened, obviously shocked at Val being so
possessive. "Wait..oh my bad. This must be your date, I'm
sorry," Theo apologized and then headed off to talk to a fan of
the band.
Val blinked.."What...no...you just misunderstood," He shook his
head, and shot Alice an apologetic look. "I'm sorry, I don't
know why he thought that. Maybe he forgot that I said I had a
date with Dakota later. Sorry about him though. He's kind
of..how would you put it nicely..horny?"

Dakota felt the pull and blushed hard. Seeing the man being
protective and getting Theo to back off. Somehow it gave her the
courage to fess up.”well uhm..” Dakota took a deep breath like
someone about to plunge.”I am Dakota.” She watched the face and
saw confusion at first.
“I am a shapeshifter.” She admitted fully. This is my second
form. I ah- I’m sorry for lying it’s just- I had so many dates
asking me to stay to one side and I just… I tend to be who I
feel to be.” She said finally. “And I really like you and I hope
this doesn’t ruin anything.. “ Dakota said.”we can still have
the after party at my place.. well I mean..” Dakota shifted to
her other foot and bit her lip a little.”if you’re still
interested.” She played with her hair a little.
