Rhys considered Gabrielle's suggestion rather seriously for a
few moments. "Maybe..but I think it would be cooler to get wings
like yours, so they're matching. In time..maybe I'll even get
your name on me," He added, wanting to see what Gabrielle
thought of that idea.
He liked Gabe's idea of exploring the town. It had been a while
since he'd last just walked around and see the place. "That
sounds like a good idea. Uh..there's a pool hall and a few bars.
A bingo hall..but most people that go there are the older ones.
there's a nice-sized library we could check out. I don't really
go around town on my own. Oh..there's supposed to be a fair and
fireworks tonight cause of the fourth. We could go watch them, I
had a coworker invite me to his place for a barbecue, if you
want to go with me that could be fun."
Rhys was sure to have to field some questions and interest about
showing up with the hot man, but he figured Gabe might want to
socialize a bit more.
A thrill went up his back when the angel suggested having fun
somewhere outdoors.
"Well..when the fireworks start going off; there's a small
forest clearing that I like to go to. It'll be loud with them
going off that no one would hear us," He suggested, very much
turned on at the idea of fun with his naughty angel.

Gabrielle gave a smile, “ a couple tattoo almost,nice idea.”
Said the man with a chuckle. “Seems I’ll have to get your name
on my back too.”
He listened to the man list a few things, Gabrielle seemed to
like the fact there were bars, and more so at the
library.”awesome.. means I can get a library card and get books
again.” Gabrielle said with enthusiasm. He ate a bit of his food
as he heard about the bbq and fireworks.”that sounds fun for
sure!” He said as he wanted to socialize a little around. Plus
it was a good time to see if he felt the Angel anywhere. He was
nervous about it but pushed it down.
Thanks to Rhys he was brought back with the idea of fu.cking in
the woods during said fireworks show.”ohhh getting naughty now
are we?” He said with a sexy smirk and resting his chin on his
hand.”gonna love bed ding you over near a tree and trying to
make you loud enough to be heard over those fireworks.” He
watched the reaction with a satisfied smirk.”love how you
react.. turns me on.” He said with some teasing.

Rhys hadn't even thought about him getting a similar tattoo as
something a couple would do. The more he thought about it, the
more he wanted to do it. It was a bit odd that he was suddenly
ready to commit to an angel when he could never do that with a
human. Maybe it was because he'd been waiting for his
soulmate..and Gabrielle had been who he had been waiting for.
"That would be fun to do together," He said with a grin.
"Though..a big back piece will take time..and I'll need time off
to recover. It would hurt too much to have on my fire equipment
on a fresh tattoo."
Rhys was happy to hear Gabrielle enthusiastic about
something..even if it was about books. He rarely got much time
to read too much, but he did frequent the library when he had
time to. It was kind of fun when the little kids swarmed him
with questions when they saw him.
"Then we can do all that. I haven't actually been to a barbecue
or a fireworks show in a long time," He said thoughtfully,
trying to remember why he'd started keeping to himself.
Rhys felt his body heat up at Gabe's question. "Maybe a little,"
He replied, looking the gorgeous angel over closely. "We can try
that," He agreed, liking the idea, and bite his lip thinking of
how incredible that would be. "Well..good. Cause I'm kind of
addicted to you," Rhys replied, ending the torturing teasing by
leaning in to kiss Gabe deeply on the lips.
"All right, let's get cleaned up in here and we can head out to
check out the town. I should probably call my friend to ask if I
can bring anything," He said thoughtfully as he started
collecting the dirty dishes.

Gabrielle chuckled.”yeah, would they be ok with you taking time
off?” He asked as he looked at the man.
Gabrielle blinked.”bit more of a homebody? I know some people
who just liked it better at home” he said as he read the man’s
face.
He chuckled as he heard the man getting addicted.”so am I sexy.”
He said and kissed back just as deeply.
Once they finished getting things cleaned up and dressed began
to walk around town. Gabrielle was enjoying himself as they
walked taking in the warm summer weather. Everything just felt
good today. As they talked a man across the street was looking
at them above his sunglasses.
Alexander chuckled.”there you are.. and with an interesting
soul.” He said as his eyes ran over Rhys some to fiddle with his
phone. He opened up an ‘app’ and smiled”oh a firefighter… and
he’s working where I’m applying.. think I’ll do some more deep
dive on this one too.. maybe save his soul from the poor excuse
of an Angel.” He said smartly as he walked off.
Gabrielle felt something right then to turn to notice nothing.
He frowned a bit before turning.”ah sorry I thought I felt
someone staring.” He said as he walked into the library. He went
to the counter first and applied for a card, saying he’d pay
back Rhys when he got work, and after began to run his fingers
in the mystery section. “Oh.. dude misery.. hadn’t read this one
in forever.” He said picking it out. He got two more books, and
50 shades of grey claiming it was for ‘ideas’ in the bedroom and
went to check them out. He then walked out with a small bag full
of books.”where do you want to go?” Asked the man as he seemed
to be enjoying himself.

"Well they are hiring a few new guys, so I could probably take
some time off after they're trained and are in sync with the
rest of the team," Rhys said thoughtfully. "Every now and then
we're encouraged to take a month off at a time to reassess if
we want to keep doing the job. I probably won't make this job my
life, but I haven't figured out what I want to do next,"
"I am more of an introvert, but with the right guy, I do get
more social," Rhys replied. "I do like to hang out around the
house in my sweatpants a lot," He added with a laugh.
Rhys couldn't help but whistle while he finished up the dishes
and then got ready to go out. It was rather nice to walk around
with his hot boyfriend. There were a few surprised looks their
way, but most of the people waved in greeting when they saw
Rhys.
"There are quite a few people that stare, but most of them are
nice,"
They were soon in the library, and Rhys couldn't help but laugh
when Gabe said he'd pay him back. "Oh wow..a whole 50 cents,
I'll be rich," He joked.
Rhys grabbed a few mysteries and blushed when Gabe grabbed 50
shades of Gray. "Yeah..you know they do have m/m bondage books
too. I have a few of those at home if you want more
inspiration," He said in a lower voice.
After they'd gotten their books checked out at the new kiosk,
they headed out. "We could drop these off at the firehouse in my
locker and continue our exploring. I'm sure there will be tons
of questions from the guys, so..don't be too surprised. I just
hope they're not all dirty questions," He sighed.
Rhys led the way to the town's fire station building, which was
on a hill a few blocks from the library. Where it was situated,
it overlooked most of the town and had a clear sight of the land
outside the town's boundaries,
By the time they got to the employee entrance, Rhys was feeling
a bit apprehensive..unsure of how his fellows would react. He
used his keycard to get in and then held the door for Gabe. He
led him through the small kitchen and took the other's bag and
headed into the locker room to stash teh bags inside.
"Hey man, I thought you were off today,"
Rhys nodded at Henry. "Yeah..just needed to stash something in
my locker. I didn't want to have to carry it all around town.
I'm showing my boyfriend around, its his first time here."
"Oh..wow..Does Rhys have a boyfriend? How come you haven't told
us about him yet?" A shorter blond-haired man asked, popping in
from the hallway door.
"He finally moved here. We've been doing the whole...
long-distance thing for a while. So..it's nice to have him here.
I hope to convince him to stay for good." Rhys added. "All
right..come on and meet Gabe, He's in the kitchen waiting for
me."
Henry and Jason grinned and followed him into the kitchen. There
was a little good-natured teasing Rhys received before the two
men had to get back to work.
"Nice to meet ya, Gabe, maybe we'll see you again soon," Jason
said waiving as he left.
"Well, that wasn't too bad. How about..we head to the fair, it
should be up and going now,"

Gabrielle understood hearing the man talk about assessment and
figuring himself out. “I get it.. in my former life I did all
sorts of things before deciding law was the best way to go for
me. I kinda got into it when my old man passed away- claimed he
was a dirty cop when he wasn’t one.. “ he said in a lowered
tone.
He would flash a smile at passerby’s and chuckled.”I don’t mind
it really.. it’s kinda nice getting out.. staying in was never
my strong point.” He explained.
When he heard the man had more books got a lustful look a
bit.”oh?… wanna recreate some of the stuff you read?” He asked
in a rather hot way.
Gabrielle went in to look around the place, it felt odd being in
there- and more so at how the men asked about him.
He smiled rather a bit shy like.”uh yeah.. maybe..” Gabrielle
couldn’t help it.. given the fact he was out- made him nervous.
He had been feeling other entities in the city.. and not all
were good.
Gabrielle was startled a bit from how he was being to blink.”oh
heck yeah! Turkey legs here I come!” He said with a smile. He
passed by a person that side eyed the couple.. the tattooed
woman licked her lips a little at the sight of Rhys.. as for the
other though.. made her think twice about touching. He may be a
fallen but still an Angel nonetheless..
Erwin made her way around a corner to see a man already eyeing
her.”oh?…” she murmured to go get a better look of the man.. but
as she did so she recoiled a bit.”nice try asshole.” She said
raising a middle finger to a minor demon on the prowl.
Those things often scattered to feed on emotions- particularly
negative.. be it human, Angel or demon. Erwin often had a
problem with such demons given sometimes it affected her work.
Some meals would end up breaking down and telling her their
life’s story causing the meal to go sour. She sighed deeply as
her foot steps fell on the concrete in thought.
