Guy could practically feel her fright and felt terrible for
being so blunt about it. He wasn't really all that good at
breaking news to people gently. He set his drink down and looked
at her closely.
"I'm sorry if I scared you," he said wishing there was something
he could do to reassure her. "It's good that we caught this
early on, we can keep ahead of Edward. I'll do whatever I can to
keep you safe." He told her feeling oddly protective of the
younger woman.
He couldn't help but frown when he saw the tears rolling down
her face. Ah great, one of his biggest weaknesses. He watched
helplessly trying to think of what to do to help her through
these feelings. "It's not your fault, nor is it a problem that
can't be taken care of." He tried to reassure her.
His eyes widened when her hand knocked over her drink and it
spilled over the counter and the floor. He glanced around for
another towel to help her sop up the mess and found one hanging
near the sink and grabbed it and cleaned up the last bit on the
counter. "Hey, don't..cry over spilled juice." he finished
lamely and moved to wrap his arms around her.
"It's going to be okay Willow, you aren't in this alone. I mean
to help you." He said pulling a handkerchief from his coat
pocket and dried the tears off of her face.
"I've had worse to deal with than an obsessed vampire. I've got
friends in high and low places that can help us with this. If
you quit now you'll just show Edward that you're giving up. You
don't want to show weakness to a vampire like him. Believe me.
It's going to be okay. Do you want me to stay with you? I can
sleep on the floor. Or I could call Jackie and see if she'll
stay with you if that would be better."

She laughed a bit at what he said, a bit sadly, Willow was a bit
surprised at the contact he was giving, his arm around her felt
comforting, and him wiping her face seemed to calm her down."Ah
I don't want to make Jackie to come all the way here..me
dragging people to my dinky' lil apartment." She joked a
little."but..I wouldn't mind you staying..My room is next
door..and I do have a couch so you won't have to sleep on the
floor..I'm nicer than that." She said quietly."I'm just sorry I
don't have a change of clothing for you." She said as she turned
to go get some extra blankets she kept in her closet. Unlike her
living room, her bedroom was a bit messy.
She grabbed a comforter and the extra pillow from the bed."
thank you...the bathroom is just across from my room, and if you
get hungry or thirsty your welcome to anything. She said
blinking a bit clutching the pillow and blanket. She made the
couch up." and if you're not tired, there's the tv." she said
blinking a bit more.
Once things had gotten settled, she had gotten another drink and
downed it."I' ah..I am gonna shower and change. I'll be out in a
bit." she grabbed her clothing to heading to the shower area she
closed the door. She took a few breaths as she got the water
running till it was warm enough. she scrubbed up and rinsed,
letting the water run down her body a little.She dressed in the
change of clothes, her top a tank, and her pajamas that had had
the Triforce of Zelda all over them. her hair hung on her
shoulders dripping before she towel dried it and brushed it.
She brushed her teeth her mind thinking about what she could be,
just ...what fae was she and why would Edward find her that
appetizing. She spat again and rinsed out. She came out and
wished Guy goodnight."if you want a shower at least..I left a
fresh towel in there." She told him before getting to her room
to crawling in bed. Her bed was king sized and was practically
covered in black and blue. her eyes drifted shut. Hoping
tomorrow would be a better day.

Guy wasn't quite sure how to take her laughing, it didn't sound
happy. Poor girl, she had gone through a lot in one night.
Finding out about the supernatural realm, a vampire accosting
her, and being attacked by two different vampires. Not to
mention finding out that there was more to her then she had
known. It would be enough to make a grown man freak out, in that
case, she was taking it rather well he couldn't help but think.
"Your apartment isn't all that small, mine is much smaller." He
told her with a slight smile. "Mine's a one-room loft,"
Once she had calmed down he moved back from her nodding at her
words. "The couch does look comfortable," He said letting his
gaze turn to look at it. "It's okay, don't worry about it." He
assured her. "Sleeping in my clothes isn't all that bad." Though
he could always go down to his undershirt and boxers if he
needed to.
He glanced around looking around her apartment, assessing it for
weak points that might need protective charms. Definitely the
windows, and the front door. He wondered how secure the window
in her bedroom might be.
Guy looked up when she came in with a pillow and blanket and
started talking again. "Sounds good, I probably won't go to
sleep just yet." He told her. He wasn't sure if he'd sleep all
that much, especially with the calls he needed to make and the
research he needed to do. Thank goodness for smartphones.
"All right, take as long as you need," Guy told her and watched
her go into the bathroom for her shower. Then kind of hating
himself for it, he went to look into her bedroom to glance over
the layout. He didn't step inside, though he did notice that her
window was going to need some sort of ward on it to keep anyone
from coming in it unexpectedly. Not wanting to bother her or
enter her room unasked, Guy directed a protective spell to the
window from where he was. Satisfied with the work, he went back
to the living room and worked his shoes off and got comfortable.
He glanced up at her when she came to wish him a good night.
"All right, thank you. Sleep well, Willow." He told her.
Once she had left, Guy busied himself contacting his bouncers
and the officers that had taken the vampires that had been
caught. He wasn't too surprised to hear that the vampires
weren't talking. The marks that were found on them however only
confirmed his suspicions that they were part of Edward's hive.
It was nearly 4 am when he finished his calls and moved to get
his vest and shirt off to get more comfortable. He got himself a
drink of water before laying on the couch trying to relax a bit.
There was only a few hours left before dawn and a long day of
work ahead of him. It seemed like he blinked and then blinked
again to wake to sun streaming through the window of the living
room. He let out a sigh and turned his face away from the light,
showing off his tattooed back as he burrowed his face into the
pillow trying to get a little bit more sleep.

Her phone went off waking Willow to start. She rubbed her face
searching for it through the fog of sleep to answer
it."he...hello?" A panicked voice came through of her
fathers."Yes..I'm fine really..my ah..boss walked me home." She
said as she got up a bit."wait how did you-?" She listened a
bit."ah..what?" the conversation went on a bit as she listened
quietly. She shuffled her shirt off and placed the phone back on
her ear as she spoke and changed into some clothes.The then
brushed her long brown hair to put it up in a ponytail.
She walked in forgetting guy was still sleeping on the couch to
get some breakfast and started to brew coffee. She turned to see
him still laying there, and blushed a bit. "a..ah yeah I'm
paying attention.." She lowered her voice a bit to not disturb
him. She walked over and shut the curtains to keep the light at
bay, so he could sleep a bit more with out it shining in his
face. She turned to see his bare back to blush a bit more.
Willow talked a bit more to hang up right when the coffee was
done for her to pour a cup and place it back as she put a couple
of spoonfuls of sugar and a bit of cream. She drank it a bit as
she texted a few things and went back to her room to not disturb
the man with much noise. She gave a soft sigh, and opened the
window to her room to let in some fresh air. "much better."
willow said with a bit of a smile as she cleaned her room up.
Her mind kept drifting to guy a little to shake her head.
After a bit of cleaning she made a quick breakfast, something
light. She cooked some eggs, bacon and toast, to getting some
juice so when guy woke up he had something to eat. She took a
bite of bacon to savor it a bit to making a plate for herself
and guy. She sat it down on the table with two glasses of juice.
If he wanted coffee, she would get it for the guy.
"hey..ah...hungry?" she asked looking over at guy.

uy managed to doze back off, though he could hear Willow's every
movement in the small apartment the sounds didn't bother him.
The sound of the curtains being shut had his lips curling into a
slight smile. He didn't wake until the smell of coffee brewing
started to fill the air.
Even then he chose to continue to lay there letting his body
rest as much as he could. He'd have to catch up on his sleep on
one of his days off. While he laid there he thought of the
things that he'd need to do for the day.
He rolled and sat up stretching out at the smell of food cooking
and ran his hand through his hair. Then Guy got up to get his
shirt on and buttoned it up. "I am definitely hungry." He said
his voice sounding a bit raspier after a night of sleep. He
cleared his voice a bit and moved towards the kitchen where she
had set the food down.
"Looks good, thank you for cooking," Guy told her with a grin.
He couldn't help but let his eyes roaming over her a bit before
he reached for a fork. Using his fork he constructed a sandwich
with the eggs and bacon on his toast. "The coffee smells good,
where do you keep your mugs?" He asked moving to stand to get
coffee for himself.
He caught sight of the time and ran a hand over his face. "I
hate to eat and run, but I really do have things to do at the
bar this morning. I've got a shipment coming in that I need to
be there for. Maybe you'd like to come in early and help? You'd
be paid of course." He asked glancing down at her.

Willow smiled a bit."I don't mind at all." Willow said as she
sat down. She saw the way he was looking at her. She blushed a
bit and took a bite when he asked for the mugs she put her hand
over her mouth a bit and said,"in the cabinet ,over the sink.."
She took a drink of her coffee and ate a bit more. Willow looked
up at the sound of work."yeah sure I don't mind coming in." She
smiled a bit.
She ate the rest of her plate to wash it up and Guy's once he
was finished, she went in her room long enough to change to a
black shirt, and grabbed her keys and purse. She checked to make
sure her inhaler was in it."okay I am ready." She said looking
at him. She stepped out and once Guy had as well locked the
door. She stuffed her keys in her pocket and began to walk down
the steps till they made it down the three flights."I have a car
if you want a quick way to get there.. " she tended to walk to
closer locations to save on gas but after he scare last night,
she was taking her car.

Guy shot a wide grin at her and pulled his gaze away when he
realized he was making her blush. He nodded when she told him
where the mugs were and moved over to grab one at the front not
really looking it over. He filled the mug with coffee and
grinned at her reply to his question.
"Great, it shouldn't take too long. I kind of don't want to let
you out of my sight after last night. My protective side kind of
goes into overdrive at times. Especially for beautiful ladies."
He added before almost inhaling the breakfast sandwich and
taking sips of the black coffee.
It might have been simple food, but to Guy it was amazing.
Probably because he rarely had time to make homecooked food.
Most times he was grabbing some sort of granola bar or protein
bar for his breakfast.
Once he had finished he moved to fold up the blanket he had used
and put it at the end of the couch neatly, laying the pillow on
top. Then he gathered up the rest of his things and slid his
shoes on. He was ready to go when Willow spoke to him again and
nodded, following her out the door and waited for her to lock it
up.
"After we are done with the shipment, I have a friend that's
going to show up that can put better protective spells than I
can." He said after he moved to trace a rune on her front door
to keep anyone but her and him out. "This should hold until
then."
Guy followed her down the staircases and nodded. "Sure, a drive
would be faster. Sometimes the delivery guy can be a few minutes
late so we should be fine." He assured her as he followed her to
her car.

Willow was a bit speechless as he called her beautiful. She
blinked a bit as she was actually use to being teased for having
two colored eyes. Even growing up in the dating scene just
didn’t help. She finally made it to the asphalt of the parking
lot walking her way to the car, her keys clanging a little as
she got her car key out. The litttle red truck clearly looked
beat up and seen better days, but it was reliable.
She blinked a little as she got her truck started.”so what is
your friend?” She asked curiously as she drove out of the
parking lot. Willow kept her eyes out as she drove making it to
a red light. She made a slight frown having to brake a bit
suddenly as she started when it turned green, a wreck less
driver had raced passed the red light in a rush.”stupid
wreckless driver...” she mumbled starting to drive again, it
took not as long as the walk usually did and rolled into the
parking lot. She parked, stopped the car and slid her keys in
the purse. She stepped out seeing Eva and Jackie. The two
normally helped being Jackie had a bit of strength and Eva
marked thingsright down to the last bottle keeping them
accounted for. She was reliable like that.
Jackie came over with a sly look, with Eva looking a bit hurt,
just briefly, for it to go away with a brilliant smile.
“So....you save her from a vampire and spend the night at her
place?”she joked a little with a snicker. Watching Willow go
red.”oh no need to be so shy...” she said wrapping her arm
around Willow’s shoulders.”oh come on, don’t worry..I am just
teasing..though he is good lookin’ isn’t he?” She added causing
her ears to turn the same color.
They got inside to get to work, making sure things had their
place, and Eva marking and counting as she went. Things seemed
to go pretty smoothly today as she went.

Guy didn't really notice that his comment had rendered her
speechless. Maybe if he had he would have asked what had caused
it. To him she was very beautiful, her duotone eyes were
enticing and attractive to him. Almost as though they
represented her two heritages in a physical aspect.
Hey eyed her red truck, noticing that it looked rather beat up
and was probably older than Willow was. He got in the passenger
side and glanced around for a seat belt. He finally found it
wedged between the seat and got it on before Willow pulled out
of the parking lot.
"Raph is a wizard, I think you'll like him. When he's not doing
magic, he's a chef. Which a lot of people find odd, but he
really can cook." He replied.
Guy reached out to brace his arm against the dashboard when she
had to stop to avoid a reckless driver and cursed himself.
"Thank God for your fast reflexes," He said taking in a few deep
breaths to calm himself.
Guy got out of the truck and ran his hands through his hair and
glanced up to see Eva and Jackie waiting. He frowned at Eva's
words his eyes flashing slightly. He disliked the way the fairy
was speaking to Willow and crossed his arms over his chest as he
glared down at her.
"Evalynn, that's enough." He told her in a sharp tone. He only
ever called her by her full name when he wanted her to know she
had crossed a line. He was going to have to have a talk with the
fairy after they were done with the new inventory list.
The four of them managed to get everything done and put away
well before 11 when Raph was due to arrive. "Thanks for your
help Jackie and Evalynn." He said turning to look them over.
"You may go. Evalynn, I would like you to come in a half hour
early tonight, there's something you and I need to discuss." He
added.
As the two women moved to go, Evalynn with a worried and pouty
look on her face there was a knock on the front door. Guy moved
to open the door and let in a rather tall thirty-year-old man
who had sparkling blue eyes that shone brightly in his caramel
skinned face.
"Raph, it's nice to see you again. Come on in. This is Willow
Ashton, the new waitress I told you about." He said leading the
man inside to where Willow was standing.
"Willow, this is Raphael Santiago, my wizard friend. Is there a
way you can find out why a vampire would be so interested in
her?" He asked leaning against the counter.

Willow had a bit of a nervous smile at Raphael. "hello." The man
perked his head at Guy and went over to look at willow. "pretty
eyes.." he commented, which in reflex she looked down."Don't
worry just taking a look. Have you shown any sort of power?" She
shook her head."What of your family bloodline?" She looked
up."Ah..I didn't say anything as I didn't think it was important
at the time..but I'm adopted.I'm sorry I did talk to my dad but
he kinda er..just laughed at me." She blinked a little while she
scratched her cheek."he simply thought I was attacked from some
gang members." she said with a sigh.
"Well the only conclusion would be her blood.Without some sort
of signs of her using a form a magic we won't know what kind of
fae she is." Said the wizard. WIllow dipped her head a bit."Ah
sorry." She said with a slight smile."No need to apologize..but
for the sake of safety we will be putting some spells where you
dwell to prevent vampires from breaking in." He told her. He
glanced at guy, noticing how he was acting a little to chuckle.
"so are you all done here?" he asked the man.

Guy watched Willow as she turned to smile nervously at Raph and
gave his friend a warning look. He knew just how intimidating
Raph could be. The last thing he wanted was Willow feeling
uncomfortable.
Guy listened to the two speaking, frowning slightly when Willow
said she had been adopted and didn't know anything about her
bloodline. He crossed his arms over his chest and huffed at how
her father had reacted. It was too bad that she didn't have
someone who could tell her what she was or help her when her
powers did emerge. Well, she had him. He could help her, albeit
not as much as a full blood fae could. It was possible he could
find someone who could pick up and teach her what he couldn't.
Guy nodded at Raph's conclusion and gave Willow an apologetic
look. At least the blood test wouldn't require as much blood as
Edward would have wanted. "I do know a mage on the council that
could test her blood and compares it to what there is on file."
He said thoughtfully. "Of course, only with your permission
Willow. It's up to you." he had a feeling that Willow would more
than likely agree to it. There seemed to be a lot she didn't
know about who she was, if it was him he'd want to know more.
"Once we find out more we can figure out how to train you," he
added not being able to help his eyes from trailing over her.
Guy glanced up at Raph's question and nodded. "Yeah, we're
finished for now. Just have to lock up until later." He said
pulling his keys out of his pocket.
"We should take my vehicle," he said recalling how small her
truck was. "Or we could walk back, whichever you'd prefer." He
added glancing from Raph to Willow.
"Walking sounds fine to me," Raph said with a smile.
Once the decision had been made, Guy moved to open the door and
let the other two out and the locked up the door and shoved his
keys into his pocket. "So after you get the spells up, I'll
treat the both of you to lunch at my place or a restaurant if
you'd prefer." He said looking at the two with a "don't argue
with me" look on his face.

"I wouldn't mind...to at least be prepared for whatever I am."
said willow. "I just don't want to be caught off gaurd if I
suddenly do something." She said chewing her bottom
lip."Though..it makes me wonder who my biological parents were
and why they..ah...left me unless its because I'm half human and
half of some sort of fae." She said with a sigh.
She nodded."And the help with training would be really great."
she said quietly.
When they were outside Willow chuckled a little."well I did make
breakfast..I am curious to how you cook." Raphael smirked a
little at Guy."He isn't as good as I am thats for sure..we are
better off at a resteraunt." He teased goodheartedly. They
chattered a bit till they got to her home. She blinked a little
seeing the land owner there with a worried look on her
face."Mae? " she said walking up."OH thank goodness willow!" She
said hugging her."whats wrong?" She pulled back."I tried to get
ahold of you.." she saw the other two men. "These your friends?"
she nodded."yeah just coming back from work, I had a bit of a
time the other night." she said rubbing her head.
The landlady paled. "do you have a stalker?" Willow blinked.
"Ah...I don't think I do why?" She made a pained look."Someone
left a note and a bunch of pictures of you with this gentleman
last night, talking...I called the cops and they got the
pictures and the note I saw but.." She said with a worried hand
over her face."Please be careful okay?" Said the sweet 50 year
old woman.
willow paled running up to see the cops removing them carefully
her chest was already squeezing in worry when a cop saw
her."This must be your apartment..don't worry we are taking
these in..though we won't beable to do much." He said quietly.
She clutched her shirt."are you okay miss?" she just nodded
shifting in her bag for her inhaler...but it was missing!
wait...she didn't lock her locker! someone must of gotten in it!
she thought. "Miss?" She shuffled for it harder to feel an
attack."need...house..." She got her keys, they slid out of her
hand as she knelt trying to calm down and the man began to radio
for an ambulance.

Guy couldn't help but watch the young woman worrying her lip,
wishing he could find a way to stop her from mangling it. Though
if he drew attention it it, Raph was more than likely to be
amused and call him on it. His being drawn to her really
shouldn't be his main focus, especially after all she'd already
been through.
"We can help you prepare," Guy said stroking his chin with his
left hand. "It's the least we can do. I was am pretty sure you
are at least half human, though it could be less," He said
looking at her closely. "There's something about your eyes that
kind of just draws a person in."
Raph raised an eyebrow at Guy and made a thoughtful sound.
"Possible I guess. It'll take at least a couple of days for them
to check out your blood to be completely sure. Training can be
started whenever you are ready," He added. "I plan on sticking
around to help with this vampire problem."
Guy shot a look at Raphael and shook his head at his friend's
teasing. "Well we all can't be four star chefs on the side." he
shot back with shake of his head. He really didn't mind the
teasing, he and Raph did it pretty often to one another. "I'm
decent enough, but I wouldn't mind just going somewhere. If I
can avoid making a mess of my kitchen I will." He said with a
grin.
Guy was rather enjoying the two's company and fell quiet when he
noticed Willow's expression as she moved to approach the worried
looking older woman. He shot Raph a concerned look as he
followed after Willow, thinking she might need some help.
Just listening to what the older woman was saying, had Guy
frowning. It sounded like something must have happened in
Willow's apartment. "It sounds like my protection charms didn't
last long enough," Guy whispered to Raph feeling wary of what
might have happened or been found in her apartment. "We need to
check it out before the cops go tromping through her apartment
and disrupt evidence that would help us figure out who's behind
this threat.." He suggested glancing up at Raph warily.
He moved to follow after Willow when he saw her running towards
the cops. He was pretty sure that all the excitement might be
too much for her. He moved to grab her keys and glanced up at
the police man. "She's having an asthma attack, would it be
alright for me to go get her spare one in her apartment? I can
put gloves on so I don't disrupt anything."
The policeman glanced up at him and then nodded. "Go, go grab
what she needs." The man told him.
Guy made his way up the stairs, running as quickly as he could
and grabbed gloves from his pocket and dragged them on before
unlocking the door and going inside. He could instantly sense
that something was majorly off about her apartment, there was a
scent that was offputting to him. He shrugged it off and moved
through the apartment and into her bathroom to go through her
cabinets. He finally located an inhaler and dashed back out with
it.
Once he was down the stairs he knelt beside her and helped her
get the inhaler into her mouth and aided her in getting a dose
of the medicine. "Take a moment, see if you can breathe," He
said softly, to see if one would be enough.

Willow gratefully took and took a breath, she took one more hit
and eased. "why..." She asked him."did anything..look
different?"She asked her eyes watering. "did they go inside?"
Raphael felt a twinge of sympathy. "they aren't chasing me
out.." She took a few breaths. She covered her face a little as
she finally regained her composure. "j..just need something
stronger right?" She asked him blinking. She reflexively hugged
guy. A few tears sprung a little. She wiped her face a little
bit.
The cops questioned her some and she answered with what she
could given she didn't know how crazy she'd sound saying
vampire..and not knowing fully who is magic or not. Her safe
place was invaded and one of her inhalers...when a thought hit
her. Eva and jackie were both there..but she knew jackie had no
problems with her."Guy...do you have cameras?" she asked him"or
are they easily manipulated?.."

Guy knelt next to Willow, keeping a close eye on her while she
took her asthma medication. Her question had him think about
what he had seen inside. "I am not sure, I didn't see anything
out of place." He said softly. He wasn't about to bring up the
smell that he had noticed in front of the police. The last thing
they needed was the police thinking he was mentally off.
"We won't let them chase you off," He assured her. "We're going
to help you. Right, Raph?" He asked turning to look at his
friend.
"Of course, I don't like this one bit, I'll stay and help for as
long as it takes." The wizard promised.
Guy was a bit surprised at her reaching out to hug him but
wrapped his arms around her and hugged her and helped her to her
feet. He kept an arm around her as the officers questioned her.
He frowned when Willow asked him about cameras. He wasn't too
sure about what she wanted with them. "Yeah, I have security
cameras up all over the bar, the break room, even the parking
lot. Though we can't really show the officers the videos of the
parking lot. I doubt they'd be able to get their mind wrapped
around the supernatural world." He spoke to her softly.
Once the officers had finished and hadn't found anything wrong
with her apartment they were given the go-ahead to check it out.
"If you notice anything out of order or missing, let us know."
The lead officer told Willow letting her along with Guy and Raph
go to check out the apartment.
Raph instantly covered his nose and swore under his breath.
"Augh, definitely some sort of goblin or imp was in here doing
something. Hold on, Guy close the door and turn the lights out."
He said.
Guy did as he was asked and watched as Raph pulled out his wand
and cast a spell to show what the supernatural creature had been
messing with. Little fingerprints and handprints appeared on all
over the apartment in a glittering green glow.
"They seem to have been searching for something," Raph said with
a frown. "Do you have any old jewelry that you were given? Maybe
something that looks antique?" He asked turning to look at
Willow.

"I only ask because..my bag was messed with someone took my
inhaler out of my bag at work."she said with a rather pained
expression."And I rather not accuse without facts.." she said
quietly. Thought she had a sneaking suspicion Eva messed with
her bag.
When they went inside she frowned covering her mouth a little.
Her eyes widened a little at what she saw. "the only thing old I
have is a locket, it was passed down in my family, I was given
it being my mom at the time couldn't have children due to
reoccurring illness.." She said walking following the hands she
saw where she kept it was now gone."and they took it." She said
with a disgruntled sigh.
She looked at guy."How would they even come in here?" Her face
was growing a bit in frustration as she looked at her music box
that laid open and broken for the little trinket they were
looking for.

Guy's face pinched as a look of anger crossed it. "Someone
messed with your bag? Yeah, we will have to check out the
cameras to see who was behind it." He agreed. He already had a
feeling who it might have been. If he was correct, then he'd
more than likely be firing Eva for putting Willow in danger.
Which would undoubtedly only make the fairy even more angry and
jealous of his being so protective of Willow.
"I'm thankful you are waiting to talk about your suspicions,
we'll find out soon enough." He told her with an exasperated
sigh.
Guy suddenly had a feeling that there was more than just a
vampire behind this. Vampires didn't work with imps or goblins,
they couldn't stand the creatures enough to spend five minutes
together, let alone pay them for any work. He shot a look up at
Raph and followed after Willow as she walked through her
apartment.
"A locket?" Raph asked shooting a wary look at Guy. He had a
sudden strange feeling about Willow. "From your adoptive family?
And yet your father doesn't know about magic or the magical
world?"
Guy bit his lip and sighed at Willow's question. "Some old
lockets or artifacts can have magical auras to them that can be
very useful to magic wielders." He told her and bent down to
pick up the broken music box. "This shouldn't be too hard to
fix," He said looking it over carefully.
"If there's nothing else you want to check over, we should let
Raphael put up some magic wards and get out of here. If you
still want to stay here, I have no problem staying with you
tonight so you feel safe." He offered.

no..I don't think so. Grandmother is still with us..she lives in
a retirement home called Maiden's Grove." She said looking back.
"she gave me the locket when I graduated in high school saying
that It was a good luck charm."Willow said.
"I..ah...didn't read much of the book to know that.." she said
blinking a little. "I hope so, Mom gave me that as a
gift..funnily..I did have a thing for fairies.. " she picked up
a fairy like figure. "This one is suppose to be a shadow
fairy... I know I'm strange but yeah.." She took the broken
music box. "Use to play the little tune grandmother called
'fairy's light' " She bit her bottom lip a little.
"seems things are okay and Raphael is welcome to do what he
needs to." She said with a firm nod.

Guy suddenly got the feeling that her grandmother might know
more about Willow's heritage than the young woman knew. "Oh
well, if it was a good luck charm, maybe we should go talk to
her about it. If you think she'd be up for that." He suggested,
wondering if there was more to the locket than Willow knew.
They'd only know if they went to talk to the older woman.
There were times when magical gifts weren't awoken for half fae
until something belonging to their fae parent touched their
skin. It was merely speculation until they found out the truth.
Still, it had Guy wondering what sort of powers Willow might end
up having.
"It is a rather big book, and there is a lot to get through,"
Guy said reassuringly. "Maybe I should help you read through it.
If you read it straight through it will seem daunting. If I help
you focus on what you need to learn first, that would probably
help the most."
When Willow's fingers brushed against his hand to take the music
box from him he felt a thrill go through him. He shifted
slightly, as he listened to her talking about the music box.
"You're not strange, just unique." He told her. "I've got tools
at my apartment if you want me to fix it."
He turned to nod at Raphael after Willow gave her permission.
The taller man nodded back and went around the apartment putting
up magical wards all through the entire place. The work only
took him about a half hour before he was done with the job.
"Do you still feel hungry?" Guy asked glancing over at Willow.
He had the feeling that she might not feel up to going out to
eat somewhere.

"yeah..after this I might..." she said with a soft sigh. Willow
blinked a little " I don't mind it if you would" she said with a
bit of a smile. For the half hour she took care of cleaning up
what was pulled off and straightening things out till raph was
done.
She heard the idea of food, and she said."Yeah I'm still hungry,
I just don't know what I want." She said with a soft smile. She
felt hesitant on being out in the open now. She was attacked,
her home was invaded, and someone from her work got in her
purse! Things just seemed to be piling up. "do you know any good
places to eat? " she asked him her eyes blinking at him a bit.
After some talk, asian food seemed right and they walked back to
the parking lot for cars to make it to the place. Willow loved
it there, it was full of patrons today ordering or going to the
sushi buffet. She found a place to sit down and ordered a
typical asian meal.
They ate as she chattered fairly little, things were still
whirring in her head a little from what had happened. She hoped
things would really turn around sometime..it seemed the only
good thing out of it was Guy, he was so handsome..and she felt
something stirring deep inside. She wondered if she was falling
for the man. She blushed a bit as she ate more.
