in The Hunger Games, she volunteered for her sister.
She was with Peeta.
At the end, they won because Katniss tricked the Gamemakers by
letting them take the latter. They have to have a victor.
Katniss and Peeta were the last two to survive, but there has to
be one victor only, and they dont want to kill each other.
Katniss offers Peeta and herself these poisoned berries called
nightlock, and once they ate it, they became the victors, and
they quickly spit the berries out.
In the book, they did, but in the movie, they just move it close
to their mouth and they became victor.
