I'm afraid of ripping the ALICE webbing that attaches it to the
belt by putting to much weight in it. Ya know, that old adage
"if you take care of your gear it will take care of you," or
something to that extent. What's a good weight for the Vietnam
era webgear? Mine weighs 15pounds, but thats with everything,
full canteens and such.

Lmao the shit won't tear. I've tried it. We had ALICE shit when
I went through basic, the stuff is tough as nails. The new stuff
is a joke, and will fall apart, but ALICE, I wouldn't worry
about.

It can be. The rucksacks are a joke. I just don't like a lot of
plastic hardware and MOLLE abuses the hell out of plastic
hardware that breaks constantly.

Don't like plastic either, large ALICE pack with a frame is the
way I like to go most of the time. It's super durable and you
can carry a lot of stuff that you can't carry with another
system. Do you know the internal dimensions of a large ALICE
pack?

Not trying to be a dick man, but google is your friend. I
understand you are trying to learn and everything, but some
questions like this, just punch in to google and you shall
learn. Other questions that aren't google-able are what this
place is for, but like this, google is your friend.
