       Does any body know Why is there no bayo lug on G-43s?

       Honestly no, I do not know.
       I know by late 44 that they were cutting bayonet lugs from the
       K98 rifles due to quicker production and lack of metal. However
       the G43 was around since 1943(but mostly early 1944)
