Just picked up a couple of AZF M1891s
By: Doby Date: April 18, 2014, 4:30 am
---------------------------------------------------------
One used to belong to Spaxspore - the 1899. the other one is a
1915 Ishevsk. Both with Russian crests. Thought you folks like
seeing them. Most of my photos seem to be too large to post
here, but I reduced one of each. Hopefully they will work. Today
was a good day. I also received an M28, 28-30.and a couple of
round receiver Finn captures. But for now, here are the AZFs.
thanks for looking.
Doby
Edited to add this: spax just informed me that his former rifle
is actually a German capture. I pick it up tomorrow. So an
Austrian capture on Friday and a German capture on Monday. I
must be living right. (nah.)

I had purchased them over the course of a few weeks, but they
all got there the same day. I had to leave with a shopping cart.
The GS is inside a mall, so I got a lot of stares. Good thing my
wife was at work when I got home, lol. I'm still cataloging and
photographing them. It will be a fun weekend. Kids are grown,
and no grandkids yet, so unfortunately I won't be hiding Easter
Eggs on Sunday, lol.

Cool Doby! Make a thread on the 28-30 when you get a chance.
Also, you may be able to get a premium from the one you got from
Spax if you adertise it as "From the collection of noted
firearms photobomber Spaxspore"!!!! ;)

Nice Doby! Spaxspore is one of the founding members on this
forum. When you said he sold you an AZF stamped M91 I was almost
ready to yell at him......until you said it was a 1915. A couple
of years ago he beat me to a 1916 PTG (Balkan scrubbed I know,
not my norm) with an AZF on the GB trader that he knows I want.
;D

Actually Spax sold the rifle last month to Matt (MCHOME) at
Gunboards. I bought a 1916 Balkan from him a couple of months
ago and we became gun buddies. When I mentioned to him I was
going to sell some more guns to get more Mosins, he offered me
this 1899 AZF. That was the afternoon of the same day that I had
just bought the one at the 1915 version. So I essentially got 2
AZFs in one day. Heres"s a photo of the Balkan I bought from
Matt that started this. I asked you about it right after I got
it. It's a nice rifle too. Just not a Finn, lol.
