       1916 Sestroryetsk Instructie M91
       By: racerguy00 Date: March 29, 2014, 10:16 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I was extremely fortunate to pick up not one, but two Romanian
marked instructie rifles today. One is a '42 Izhevsk 91/30, the
other this 1916 Sestroryetsk m91. This instructie, like many has
seen a rough life. I have not torn it down beyond removing the
buttplate, the stock is dated 1916. The stock is rough, and
there is a crack in an unusual spot running from the rear barrel
band to the finger groove on the right side. It seems tight with
no movement. The handguard is a different story. It is split in
several spots with small bits missing. The bore looks pretty
decent with a counter bore. Totally non-matching. The barrel
serial number is partially scrubbed AND lined out but is
legible. oddly no other one was added to the barrel like what is
usually the case. These two rifles make a great pair.
I took what photos I could for now, I will take better ones
       outside asap.

Sweet! Yet, at the same time it just reminds me of how close you
were to getting your grubby little hands on that H band
converted Central Powers captured M91. ;)

Still working on that one. It's mine to buy when he sells. I
have a feeling it will be more expensive than I had hoped for
but we'll see. He's treated me very well and is a straight-up
       good guy.

Dang. That has a lot going for it. Its a sestroryetsk,
Romanian instructie marked and an m 91. That fills 3 holes in
       my collection!
