       Rules For the Trader
By: hashash Date: July 30, 2013, 9:32 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Hate to do it guys, but this part of the site needs to run
smooth and actually will be moderated. I have seen what works
and what doesn't so it has to be this way.
       1. No Commercial Listings except sponsors.
       2. No Illegal Firearms/Goods/Items or anything else to be sold
on the trader. All items found to be illegal will be deleted.
       3. You MUST state a price, no fishing for bids. That's what
Gunbroker is for, except they charge you to sell stuff. If you
are un-sure of the value of your piece, post your item in the
correlating discussion board and knowledgeable individuals will
give you an answer. Listings with no price will be deleted.
       4. Bumping: You may bump every FIVE (5) days. Not 4, not 4 1/2,
       5. If you bump your thread before the five days, it's going to
be tossed. This keeps it fair to everyone so there is an equal
chance to sell/trade the item. Bumping is simply posting "BTT"
"Bump To the Top" or similiar. None of this "Pm Replied (so and
so)" just to bump. If you replied to a PM, the person will know
when they check their inbox. If you are caught bumping listings
like this, it's going bye-bye. "Price reduced" is also not
acceptable. You can reduce the price, and people will see it
next time you bump it, this is another sneaky way to screw over
other individuals trying to sell/trade things.
       5. Combine your listings into ONE thread. Multiple listings from
the same user on different threads will be deleted. This also
coincides with the fairness to other users. If your thread is
too messy, or you just want it deleted, change the title to
"Delete" or send a moderator a PM with the thread link so we can
       close it for you.
6.No links to live auctions. I know you want to sell that item,
but that's what talking to people and the PM option is for.
Threads containing these will be tossed.
       7. No jaw jacking on this forum. We have the whole rest of the
site for you to comment on things and throw in your two cents,
this is not one of those places. If you really can't contain
yourself and MUST comment on an item someone is selling, there's
this really neat feature called a Private Message. If you
continuously post irrelevant comments to the sale/trade, you
will be taking a break from the privileges of the trader for a
       while.
       8. If your stuff is sold, mark it as such.
       9. If you are still un-sure if your post will violate any rules,
contact a moderator to check before you post.
These rules will make this a lot easier to run and use. This is
the only moderated portion of the site for a reason. If you
can't follow these simple rules, find somewhere else to use a
trader. This isn't because the moderators are "power tripping",
it's because this is a privilege to have a resource of
collectors willing to trade and deal with pieces of history. If
there are too many problems on the trader with people not being
able to follow basic rules, the Trader will be removed and that
will be that. I know this won't be a problem though.
You WILL follow all State, Federal, and Local laws regarding
firearms, magazines, and ammunition or you're gone. There is no
room for error on this one, and this site, and its
moderators/administrators hold NO responsibility for a blatant
disregard of any Laws by users. Federal Firearms Licenses WILL
be utilized unless the firearm is classified as an antique. If
you are unsure how to legally sell your item, contact a
moderator BEFORE you list it and we will be more than happy to
assist you. Once again, if you aren't sure, ASK.
If you read this and still have questions, contact a moderator
       or administrator.
These are simple rules. You are an adult, please try to act like
       one regarding this forum.
