Oh no. I have lots of nicknames for that guy. Most not usable
here. I don't need autocorrect to characterize him, lol.

vic is slow to remove the trash over on that forum. It takes two
death threats to get some one banned.. (hopefully permanently)

Technically not my first mosin (first was a 43 Izhevsk refurb
from AimSurplus almost 10 years ago), but the one that started
my addiction. Finn'd Chat barreled Izhevsk M91. Receiver has
what appears to be repaired bullet impact damage. Has at least
one part from every single M91 maker. Stock figure is quite
nice. Civil guard marked. Still need to shoot this one,
unfortunately Ohio weather hasn't been too helpful in allowing
for an appropriate range outing. Soon.

Lotta, I saw a regular refurb on the rack at Cabelas with
similar "damage" on the side of the receiver like that. I didn't
quite know what to think of it. I thought it was more of a
manufacturing error as it was a war time rifle. I think the age
and use of your rifle lends more evidence towards being some
kind of battle damage though. Cool rifle!

Here is the only crappy picture I have of my first. It's just a
typical 1925 Izhevsk Ex-Dragoon. I paid about $80 or $90 for it
about 10 years ago. I had some Christmas money burning a hole in
my pocket and didn't really care what I bought at the small gun
show dad took my brother and I to. It was about all I could
afford! I actually went a few years before I bought another, a
'44 Izhevsk M44 non-refurb, I paid $60 for it. Last year my
Mosin Nagant collecting exploding and I brought home #12 a few
weeks ago, a '60 T53 which is likely a Vietnam bringback.
