Thanks for playing Doby, and welcome to our forum. Fell free to
post what ever you like and speak your mind freely. We have
nanny ware that comes and goes, but are relatively unmoderated
unless someone flies off the deep end. That is one hell of a
first Mosin. most people just end up with common refurbs.

Getting it was blind luck. I was just buying patina and a WWI
date. my next two were as good or better. So I got addicted
instantly in two days, lol. Some of you warned me...It was good
to see Clayshooter2 here btw. He is the person who ID'd it for
me as a Finn.

have questions about m91s I usually get ahold of clayshooter2
and racerguy00. If they can't answer your questions they can
point you in the direction of someone who can.

Matt, I knew so little that the initial thread went on for
almost a whole page before Clayshooter counted the notches on
the rear sight and called it correctly. I never mentioned the
AV-3 stamp on the stock because I just thought it was a
mismatched serial number lol! But he nailed it. I have since
ordered and installed the correct Finn swivels and rod - both
from Finland - for it. Other than that it is the same as when I
got it. My first and one of my favorites still..But in truth
they are all my favorites.

Thanks racerguy! I am glad to be here. At least here I won't
have to bother with harassing that nameless fellow who always
seems to come up with breakthrough rifles, lol!!!
Obviously I'm a novice at this so I plan to do much more reading
and learning than posting for a long time to come. These things
have become such an obsession for me that I have sold off a lot
of lesser guns in my collection to virtually concentrate on them
exclusively. I sold several a few weeks ago, and some of the
payoff is coming this week. Today I am picking up six Finns in
various flavors, and Friday or Monday two more. My wife thinks I
have gone nuts! And she's probably right as usual.
At any rate, thanks again for the welcome.

I thought that guy was a harmless fool. No idea he was a crook.
I have a file on him now and next time he posts a thread like
that over there, I won't be as nice to him as I was in that
Nagant thread. or the Tuc thread. Lol, I was the first post on
the '37 SCW thread and suggested he use a screwdriver to add a
"U" to "Tuc". Wasn't far off on that one. the real "tuc" is
interested in the rifle, but I told him I don't know PGA's real
name. I am not helping with commerce on that rifle in any way.
Glad that people like him are not welcome. They shouldn't be
welcome at any legitimate site. Vic sent me a couple of nice PMs
about it though and encouraged me to savage PGAthecrook.
Apparently PGA tried to get me banned from there for being mean
to him. He reported and wanted his own thread deleted, LOL. I
thought that was pretty funny.
