Balkan '39 Tula 91/30 with grafitti, tons of pics

The 39 Tula that I was waiting on finally got here. The stock
was sticky with grease, and when I wiped it down I found what
seems to translate as Red Army of Glory scratched into the
forearm in front of the mag housing. It's so faint it took a
long time to get a reasonable photo of it, and a pencil rubbing
won't even bring it out.
The barrel has a canvas shim caked in grease and placed under
the front of the hand guard. The action looks as though it was
dipped in axle grease but the inside is clean, and the bore
looks decent. Maybe 10% bluing on the exposed metal, and some
rust under the wood that will be dealt with. Bolt is mismatched,
and it sits in a wartime stock and has a pinned rear sight.
There are no refurb stamps anywhere however.
All in all a great rifle, and it was cheap to boot.

That IS a cool one. What are the squiggly S shaped stamps on
the rear sight? The graffiti might show up better in macro with
a window open.

Cool! I would have to get on that active rust pretty quick
though. I know it has probably been there for a while, and is
probably not that active; but that is just one of those things
that would bug the piss out of me until I had it taken care of.

Not sure about the SS marks on the sight base. Looks like marks
from a tool of some kind, not intentional lettering.
