rare m24 auction

Missing handguard and stock finnish may keep the price down. It
may be a pomo finish though. Click the photos to see the barrel
markings. A rare bird. Thought I would pass it on.

Im not sure about classic? I just bumped into the auction on
Proxibid is all. Martin08 snd others say that the KLP stamp
alone is a $200 preminum.

Scroll down to the part where it talks about payment options.
So the KLP is a rare district? Not sure of the significance
because I haven't really seen that many of them.
From mosinnagant.net :
he rifle on the left bears the
marking "KLP" which signifies that the gun was assigned to the
the Kymeenlaakso district and most probably the armoury. This
district's armory was the most active of all the local Civil
Guard sites and was responsible for all kinds of major armament
contract jobs for the Souljeluskunta. The marking on this rifle
almost certainly denotes that work was preformed on this barrel
in shortening the threads and refreshing them, thus making the
recutting of the chamber a necessity. The rifle on the right
with the "christmas tree" also signifies the same procedure but
it is presumed to have been performed at the primary Civil Guard
workshop. It is thought this is the reason that the "christmas
tree" marked guns often lack the high pressure proof of the SAKO
facility as found on the KLP gun. You can clearly see the
marking of 3600 with the SAKO "S" in a gear wheel separating the
36 and 00. This also adds some credence to the though that the
Kymeenlaakso district preformed the work and it was approved by
the SAKO facility as meeting pressure specifications.
Rifle looks poly finished. If the klp is 200+ the poly is 150-.
Break even maybe. I see it is up to 230 now.

I thought poly too, but I've had two big finn collectors tell me
it may be a pomo laquer finish seen on some m24s. I dont know.

description says sanded and varnished but it is hard to tell
without it in hand. It was not sanded recently as it has an
uneven spot on the joint it appears. If cheap enough maybe. Hard
to say sanded on some of the older ones as they went through
rough times and maybe a redo or 2.
