I've been wanting a Mauser in .308 for a while now. He agreed to
250 shipped which is fine by me. Any Mauser you can get between
2-300 bucks that's in great shape is totally worth it IMO. Not
to mention I have a bazillion rounds waiting to be loaded up in
.308 and I only have one .308 rifle at this time. What do you
guys think?

Heck of a deal IMO. How was the conversion done on these? I
passed on a Chilean mauser in 308 not long ago because their
particular conversion method was iffy according to most.

I've heard it's made for the CETME round, which is lower
pressure. I loaded up some "test" rounds. Usually they take 42
grains of Norma 202, I put 40 in. Should work out great. also,
with cast it shouldn't be a problem. We shall see, and I'll make
a video or two for sure.

"I've heard it's made for the CETME round"
Correct. These were made by drilling the bore and then sleeving
them and were attached by soldering and then rechambered. Made
for the 7.62 (cetme) and not the nato round. I prefer the 7mm
carbines but then I have no 308 here ::)

It actually shot very good with my hand loads. It's accurate
but packs a punch.
