Some old pics of my '41 Sako SS M39

Not the greatest photos but they'll do. My first M39. The bore
looked really rough when I got it. It cleaned up but the rifling
definitely showed lots of wear. Even so, a lights-out shooter.

Love those wartime M39's. Mine is a fucking tack driver, and
still has the "been there, done that" look. M39's are, so far,
my favorite Mosins.

Nice early 1941 Sako! Yours is just over 1600 SN's shy (earlier)
than my 1941 PL marked M39 and has the SA box. I guess maybe it
snuck through the short lived PL marking phase at the
depots/armories.

All matching t53 imported back in the 90's. Great bore, tons of
wear outside.. Matching was uber rare then. Not so much lately.
Going from memory.
22 Tula m91 SCW
37 Tula SCW
27 Izhevsk SCW dragoon
36 Tula SCW
39 Izhevsk Finn Capture 91/30
Matching T53
Sako m39
Early 20s Izhevsk ex-dragoon 91/30 on antique receiver. This
rifle launched an epic thread on Ted's site about recycled
receivers in the Russian Civil War era

Yeah, that thread was epic. It went on for weeks it seemed like.
I thought Joe Leiper was going to reach through the Internet and
