Two NEW'S saved from oblivion

I recently joined a mosin Facebook group. Sone of the sh!t there
gives me nightmares. But it's nice to make an ID from a sh!tty
photo and description and make a save for someone.
Guy posted a photo of two m91s, one finned and one looking like
it had an American walnut stock. Also stated they were both
dated 1915. I mentioned the possibility of NEW rifles, and their
significance. They had been posted online locally to him...for
$300 for the pair. He knows absolutley nothing about mosins but
was convinced to buy.
He posted barrel marking photos after he got them. Both NEW
(nailed that one ;D). One is the highest serial number I ever
saw that was overseas, but no US acceptance marks. The other is
on a Fox receiver and in a NEW stock apparently. He didn't
believe the values given for his $150 rifles, and was
considering the bubba route. Gave hime a link to the one
collector forum and h e actually joined and posted them.
Hopefully it turned him from the dark side.

Shit like that never falls into my lap for those kind of prices.
I have to say, I was quite surprised at how few people on that
thread knew what a Fox receiver is. I guess I am just a little
jaded in my expectations on what people should know, from
cutting my teeth on Mosins over in Ted's forum.
