Scored a dragoon at a refurb price

I found an ad for 'an old army rifle, 7.62x54' so I got in touch
with the seller. His vague description included ' a triangle
shaped front sight, a wood handguard, not sportered, a little
rough but shoots good' Beyond that he had no clue.
He sent two crappy photos that were enough for me. I'll post
those later. 1924 Izhevsk dragoon with the wreath on the shank
ground. No D or SA visible but the stock looks Finnish. With gas
to go pick it up it will set me back a bit under $200. I
couldn't pass it up.

At first when I read this I just skimmed it and got "I just got
an Ex-Dragoon for a standard refurb price". I'm a tard.
Holy balls, great deal. Can you post some pictures when you get
a chance?

If it is a Finn'd Dragoon you paid about $50-$100 below market,
around my parts atleast. Gotta love when people don't know what
they have :)
pics please!

He's no Spax, so these are the photos I've got so far. Looks
like a Finn stock with a 91/30 handguard.
I'll be picking it up on my next day off in a week or so.

Nice, wish I was lucky enough to find a Finn'd dragoon. The
closest I've came to Finn'd mosin is my cupro nickel S ball on
GWS stripper clips. :'(

Well, the seller cancelled our meeting at the last minute
yesterday. Doesn't look promising, I guessing he did some
research.

I just had a guy back out of a trade because he "needed new
tires" all of a sudden. Is it really that hard to trade a CETME
for a Springfield?
