AIM Surplus No 5's
By: CLMI04 Date: August 26, 2013, 7:38 pm

Has anyone else ordered a No5 Mk1 from AIM? I bought one just
after they posted them up for sale on Friday and can't wait for
the big brown truck to drop it off. I will post pics when it
comes. If you ordered one please post pics as well. Also, it is
nice to finally see some Enfields back on the primary market.

I'm all tapped out or I would order one. Any idea where they
came in from?

I'm going to send them an email asking them. We'll see what they
say. Who knows, they could be from somewhere cool like Burma
(Myanmar) now that they've opened up to the West in the past
year. More than likely it's not something that exciting. I'll
keep you posted on what I hear. If they don't respond, I'll just
pester Tony Wilcox, from Tony Wilcox Ltd a large C&R dealer
locally, about where they are from. He's a lifelong friend of
the owner of AIM and told me he knew where they were from and
was being cryptic ( in a nice way) but said Erik or any of the
other guys would probably be OK with divulging where they came
from.

Good shit. I was also very please to see them (at pre-panic
prices even) on the primary market. Maybe this is a sign of good
things to come.. Pictures will be awesome, I can't afford one
right now, but if I could, I would.

That's why we're here. So we can live vicariously through each
others purchases. ;D I also hope it's a sign of good things to
come.

Nice. I wonder what else they got from there. Malaysia used all
kinds of weapons from justvabout everywhere.

One can only hope that they'll dig up some more surplus .303
ammo :) I wish it was 10 years ago when it was everywhere for
cheap.

Just got mine in today. 3/45 ROF mismatch. Overall in good
condition and worth the $407 shipped in my opinion. It even came
with some pinkish red rack numbers on the butt. Will post pics
later.
