Antique P-27 photos

I was able to take some quick photos of the P-27. My curiosity
got the best of me, I had to tear her down and snap some pics,
and was almost late for work. ::) Exclusive: Posted here first!
This rifle has the most dust internally of any I've ever had.
The barrel shows strong rifling but the dust bunnies block the
view. I was thinking that the P-series rifles had a flat milled
into the bottom of the barrel shank during the reline process,
this doesn't have one. There is a crossed cannons stamp there
though. The bolt is Finn matched, typical Finn mix-master.
Really nice trigger pull on this one. One interesting thing is a
shim in the side of the lug-recess in the stock. I haven't had a
rifle with one there before.
Any input and thoughts are greatly appreciated!

A P-series is next on my list. They're very interesting rifles
and the OP's is a near perfect example. I'm really glad you
decided to share it here on the forum. I'm waiting for one to
show up locally seeing as there's been a ton of rare Finns
popping up near me lately ( PL marked M39, Sk.Y M39 "matching",
Bohler Stahl M24, and an M28/30 in the past 3 months). A friend
bought a Finn captured M38 carbine at the show yesterday morning
for $350! I almost cleared my bowels when I saw it. Sorry to get
OT.

It's guns, so it's on topic to me! I was lucky enough to get a
Bohler M24 recently too. It's been through the wringer but
shoots well. It has a neat crossbolt to retain the front band
that I thought was a bubba thing until I saw another example
online. I scored it for $250 just based on a description. I took
a chance and it worked out great. Also got a Finned
Chatellerault that I'll post soon.
Awesome deal on that m38. Do you know the year?

I don't remember the year of the M38. He showed me a couple cell
phone pics of it Sunday at the show because he spirited it away
to home Saturday night. The friend who bought it is a LGS owner
who collects mainly Mosins. He found it at another dealers table
first thing Saturday morning at the show and jumped on it. I'm
going to ask him to bring it by his shop at some point so I can
take pics of it for our viewing pleasure. He also has a 1907
carbine that I need to get him to take pics of. Both would be
cool to have posted on here in the photo thread. The guy hates
forums after some dumb experiences on Gunboards ( pgaplayerless
expert type comments and general fuckery of that sort) years ago
and it will take some convincing to get him to join and post his
own pics. I look forward to seeing pictures of the Finned
Chatellerault. Do you know if it was re-blued post war or still
"original"? I like 'em all beet up and missing most of the
bluing myself :)

Compare the condition of the Finn refurbed m91 with the M24 and
Chatellerault. I like the last two more.
