       Top 3 Best:
Patton- if we're going for theme. That was my favorite, and
always will be on my top 5 list.
The Great Escape- The director actually did an asinine amount of
research and put a ton of effort in to making it as realistic as
possible down to the cast. Some of which were actually POW's in
       WW2.
A Bridge Too Far-Oldie but goodie, shows what an inane
clusterfuck Market Garden turned out to be, and what a waste of
resources it was. Even though it's old, it's an all star cast
       and well made IMO.
       Top Three Worst:
Windtalkers- Despite all my rage I'm still just a Nicolas Cage.
He totally destroys the film and the story of those brave code
       talkers.
The Thin Red Line- Come on. Nick Nolte was about as fake as
Obummer's niceguy persona. The story was weak, and they could
have done so much better at portraying the shitstorm that was
       Guadalcanal.
Pearl Harbor- I don't think this really needs an explanation.

       Best:
       1-longest day
       2-Patton
       3-inglorious bastards
       Worst:
1- this movie about these paratroopers in Italy were a case of
friendly fire happens and it causes fights amongst the unit,
       forget the name.
       2-pearl harbor,
       3-and like hash, wind talkers.

       Good:
       Patton
Saving Private Ryan...I watched it on it's debut in a theater
with a punk kid and a WW2 veteran aged guy sitting near me. The
kid laughed when the guy picked up his arm on the beach and the
old gent stood up, came over and whispered something in his ear.
He never made a sound again.
Letter from Iwo Jima was good for it's opposing side
       perspective.
       Hard to name three.
       Bad?
       Pearl Harbor
I really didn't like Captain America at all.
I never saw Wind Talkers but I'll watch any war movie, but this
one EVERY person I know personally that saw it said to avoid it
       like the plague.

I just watched "12 o clock high", its a good movie but more
about the leadership than actuall fighting.

       Worst
       Windtalkers
       Inglorious Bastards
       Pearl Harbor
And I have to add this one
       Miracle at St Anna
       Best?
       Das Boot
       Der Untergang
       Stalingrad
Some other really good war movies japanese related.
Battle in the Pacific, this is a japanese film about japanese
soldiers that did not surrender until after ww2.
       Letters from Iwo Jima
       My Way (an awesome movie)
I also really liked Empire of the Sun when I was younger, have
not seen it in a long time.

My way is a long, grueling, bloody watch, and makes you wonder
how those guys actually made it through that much absolute shit.
