What is the oldest SCW (Spanish Civil War) mosin that you have s

I ran across this one locally a little bit ago and am debating
on it still. Unfortunately the stock is a bubba job, I didn't
know that before I saw it in person, and the seller wants a
standard M91 price. The stock is a Finn two-piece uncut stock
that someone put the poly to. I could probably sell it though
and recoup some cash. All the metal is there and complete. I do
have what I believe is a SCW M91 stock though, I bought it cheap
from a guy who removed it from a 1918 Remington thinking that
the Spanish-looking stock sanding etc were a bubba thing. It
looks virtually identical to a lot of SCW 91/30 stocks. The
bluing is well worn although in the pic it looks really dark.
It is the oldest USSR marked mosin I have ever seen, and that's
the allure. I've recently seen a '98 dated Sestroryetsk, but
nothing quite this old. Have you guys seen any SCWs this old or
older? I'm still on the fence with this one. I don't really
save bubbas but this one keeps gnawing at me. What say you? He's
asking $280 firm. Wish I had better photos. This is what he sent
that got my juices flowing then I didn't have a chance to take
       more.

This is Mat_SW!'s area of expertise. Hopefully he'll log in
soon. I actually have no clue about SCW Mosins except how to
identify them with the "Made in USSR" stamp. Is there a way you
could remove the poly? I just saw some guy on GB (Can't remember
who) successfully restored a Finn 2 piece stock that was poly'd.

The poly could definitely be removed. I could do that and keep
it as a spare or sell.
I had a really big SCW collection at one point, but theyvwere
91/30s and dragoons. My only m91 I kept. Mat, ithilsdorf from GB
etc and I have communicsted back and forth quite a bit. Whenever
I find a 36 or 37 dated mosin I save the info for their
databases. Ithisdorf has a great SCW page here:

A USSR marked '36 Tula is what gave me full fledged mosinitis.

Mosinitis sucks. When I get my school money, it's probably going
to get pissed away on the damned things again as I recently
culled my collection of them. Oh well, the hunt is half the fun.

280 is kind of a turn off, but the barreled action and arts are
robably worth that arted out. it seems too high though for
something that i would sit in a closet corner and forget about.
then again i dont have one either and its temting. if it was
like 150 id be all aver it.

My SCW M91 is a 1916 PTG, but it is not USSR stamped.

Well, this is a first for me. This rifle somehow just ended up
in a gray blanket GB auction. First local rifle that I've seen
come up there. I'm curious to see what happens especially with
       the Finn stock on it.
