It's the Mosin recoil challenge. 40 rounds, rapid fire, 100yds,
from the Prone position. Here's one of mine with a standard
91/30 refurb. I also did it with my Finn M39 and Chinese T-53.

You need to wipe down that hand guard while it is still hot.

Doesn't matter what kind of ammo you use. Clay, there actually
wasn't that much on there and it boiled out and evaporated. It's
nice semi-dry wood now.

Yeah it kinda does matter, a mosin with heavy ball is going to
be a lot worse than with light ball.

Lmao not really. I've shot just about every combination, the
only rifles you can really feel it in are the carbines. The long
rifles, it really isn't that much different.

54r man it varies from rifle to rifle. Some individual rifles
perform better with light ball, some perform better with heavy
ball. Every rifle is different.

I think he was talking about recoil. I can't notice a difference
in the long rifles, and only a slight one in the carbines.
54rman, what kind of HB were you using in your rifle?

Bulgarian maybe? I remember the yellow tip, ya know, shooting an
M44 when you're 11 you focus more on the gun and the wow factor
of muzzle flash when you break it out near dusk.

That's right, you're still a little fellow. I'm 6'4" and built a
little bigger so I really can't feel it lol.
