       Message packet format for Behringer FX2000

       I have succeeded in writing sysex packets to a lighting desk but
       am wondering how to write to Behringers FX2000. Getting packets
       to the device are fine but I notice that some parameters are 16
       bit. However, I know that MIDI is 7 bit so writing 8+ bit values
       have to be halved anyway.
       Nevertheless, the manual does not make the packet format clear.
       Would anybody enlighten me.
