Lets just cut out formula d all together and start bringing jap
drivers over here again to drive the parking lot at SEMA
I'm not personally on the v8 "bandwagon" but I'm not against it
anymore. Like jake said everyone has their own idea of what
drifting is more specifically to them. Plenty of dudes are happy
to just jam out and drive with friends without the bother of
competition others go for sponsors and the whole deal.
On a side note I drove a v8 corolla and it was one of the
happiest fun times of my life

I'm not seeing what your point is with either of those vids. But
I really have to laugh at the US vs Japan one though. I'm
guessing you were trying to show us all about how "America beat
Japan" or whatever was the most popular trend to follow after
that video came out. Well I'd like to introduce you to Saito
Daigo who decided to make a mockery of that very DVD and
out-America America with a ridiculous 1,200hp car - and then
proceeded to win a FormulaD championship in the process.
That's how bad drifting has gotten since America got involved.
And get yourself some Drift Tengoku vids.

My point was that; drifting was really terrible ten years ago.

My previous post should have read
"If you think driftng was better back in the day, these old
dvds, full of really poopy driving, will change your opinion"

I'm guessing you mean American drifting was really terrible ten
years ago. Now while I agree the talent was terrible, we still
had some semblance of honor in the sport. None of this whining
about how the lead car wasn't going the same speed he went last
time, no refusing to admit you made a mistake because all you
cared about was winning, and surely none of this horsepower
       game.
But I gotta say, major props to FD for eliminating speed as a
       factor in judging runs.

Not killing it off, killing the soul of it.
