Welded in an S2000. Nice. I bet you're catching a lot of flak
for that one.

Has anyone tried this? Those gears are so small, I almost wonder
if this is an exercise in futility. I can see all of those
little things exploding into a million pieces. Not that it
really matters but what rod did you use?

Is it nessisary to weld a torson? I thought that was about the
best lsd to have...

Torsens are only good for grip driving. They don't have any real
"pre-load" like a clutch type and they will one-wheel-peel if
one wheel has way more grip than the other. Very hard to drift
with, you're relying almost completely on momentum to keep the
car sideways like an open diff. Had one in my E36 for a while
because I planned to road-race it before I accidentally turned
it into a drift pig.

yeah it feels pretty terrible IMO. Not predictable. The car will
usually grip up like an open as Mike said.
Got steering spacers in the mail 7mm thickness. Can't wait to
drive this thing on the 15th!!
To do:
-Install welded diff
-Install steering spacers
-Raise the rear
-Diffuser install

Man was wondering when you were going to turn this into a drift
car wish I did with my old one. There's going to be some
interesting drift cars around here this year haha. Very
interested to see how that diff works.

These bolts are from the diff to aluminum brackets that bolt
into bushings... which then bolt to the frame. So the one with
the expensive nice Ni coating didn't have any galvanic corrsion
to the aluminum. But I guess Honda decided to cheap out and use
black oxide coated bolts for two of them. They did bond to the
aluminum and now pulled out all the threads. Fortunately I can
through bolt those. The other two are not through bolts, so
maybe that's what they were thinking. Either way. Should've just
spent the extra $ and had coated bolts all the way around.
Fucking up Honda... fucking up.
