THE PERFECT LOCATION
The first annual gridlife will take place at Gingerman Raceway
over the weekend of May 31st - June 1st 2014.
For several reasons Gingerman is an ideal location for
#GRIDLIFE. Our unique relationship gives us complete control
over the environment so we can tailor all aspects throughout the
weekend.
MIDWEST IS BEST
Gingerman is located in the heart of the midwest just 2 hours
from Chicago, 3 from Indy and a single days drive from the East
Coast and the South.
THE SAFEST TRACK ANYWHERE
Designed for street cars. That means minimal guardrails, trees
and tirewalls in the turns making it the perfect track for
anyone to experience the thrill of racing.
This is only the beginning, we're bringing in partners from all
around the automotive world working to put together a one of a
kind event. There is lots more coming soon so watch our facebook
page or check out our Google+ for more details about the event
HTML http://gridlife.co/
Come out and meet some of the best drivers in the midwest! It is
a car meet with cheap track time sessions for gripping (time
attack). I have no details on the tech inspection nor price for
time attack (which is open to anyone). Follow them on facebook
for updates.

Could you explain what "this is not an open event" means? All I
see plastered all over their site is how this is designed for
street cars and for beginners and yada yada yada so how does
that work if it's not open?

So I'm instructing for this event. Hopefully I can shed a bit of
light on what's going on.
Gridlife is designed to be a HPDE/Time Attack/Drift Exibition.
HPDE( high performance driving education)- this portion is meant
for all skill levels. It's basically open track time so you can
take yer ride out on track and have fun going fast / getting
better in a safe environment. Usually there are 5-6 groups of
cars that rotate 20 minute sessions. The "lower level" groups
have instructors riding along helping.
Time attack- self explanatory. There are different classes. AWD,
RWD, FWD with different levels of modification. Again 20ish
minute sessions. Kind of a free for all who is the fastest sort
of thing.
Drift exhibition- I think MDU is doing this? This is the portion
that is invite only, the theory being they don't want random
people on track messing up the first legit attempt to get
drifting at Gingerman.
I'll be driving my S14 or my civic. I have passenger seats in
both... I'm always happy to have passengers.

ClubFR is handling the drift stuff. From last I heard, they
should have sent out the invites already, if not really soon.
But yeah, invite only, they don't want f@ck ups f@cking shit up.

word Slideways I'll see you there!
ya clubFR already gave out invites. But for everyone else
learning to grip drive is 100% useful in my opinion to learning
how to drift/control a car properly. So I'd recommend doing an
HPDE sesh. You'd be surprised at how much fun they are too.
