S14 Brake/handbrake info help
By: Sleepywagon627 Date: March 5, 2014, 6:07 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
So I'm putting a hydraulic handbrake in my S14 so I can make
sure that I slide into shit properly. The cables are stretched
on the OEM brake and this is cheaper than doing new cables that
will just stretch again.
I'm hoping that someone can validate, or correct, the
information that I have on the brake lines so the installation
goes as smoothly as possible.
From what I've gathered:
The brake master cylinder uses inverted flare 3/16" line with a
M10x1.0 fitting.
The rest of the brake system uses the same fittings.
Can anyone validate that this is correct? I've burned out my
eyes searching for this information being completely accurate,
so I'm hoping someone on here knows what's up.

You are correct. PBM sells a line kit with the fittings included
for $70 that can make your life way easy.

Awesome and thank you! I'll definitely look into it. The biggest
pain is finding fittings for the master cylinder on the
handbrake.

Damn. The PBM kit is only for the Wilwood master, which I do not
have. Looks like I'm gonna be getting creative.
