Freeze plugs are only there for the casting. Blocks now a days
don't even have them. Just welded them for extra insurance.
Would hate to wreck the car if he blew another one.

I need some projects. About all I've been welding recently is
dumb repair sht at work. Can't even remember the last time I
touched some stainless. Think it was my exhaust last summer.

My good buddy Paul Bieswenger dropped his s14 off to get bash
bars up front before Streets. they came out pretty good. Paul
often travels to drift events alone, or with someone who isn't
always mechanically inclined. I wanted him to have plenty of
protection but be able to get his car on and off the trailer
easily. So i made is bars that attach by slipping on and off and
locking in with only 2 grade 8 bolts.
I hooked him up for cost of materials and in turn he will be
running Wreck It Fab vinyls for the rest of the year. Paul is a
super awesome dude, i wish i could do more for him.

Pauls car should be red and white for MDU Streets. So you should
all cheer for him! I will be there too, ill be the short guy
with a flatbill hat, wreck it fab shirt, and tight pants on. ;)
my name is Billy, dont be afraid to say hi. I also will have a
bunch of leftover T-shirts to sell at cost $7 (i need to make
       room for more)

Hey guys, just got back from Lincoln welding school. Took there
basic motorsports class and hopefully be taking there advanced
class early next year. Learned a lot about metallurgy and a lot
of characteristics of metal and how they react with other metals
and heat ect... Did some chromoly while I was there and put it
to there break test, to pass, your piece has to hold to at least
5600lbs of force on your welds. But ideally you don't want your
weld to break at all, but to have the actual work, or piece you
welded on, break before the weld since the strongest part of the
work should be the weld and the HAZ (heat affected zone). My
weld did not break, and the piece held a little over 7500lbs of
force before the tubing tore right on the edge of the HAZ, which
is exactly how you want it. Figured I'd share.

Good work brother. I did a few years at a vocational school for
welding. The destruction tests were always my favorite.

Some stuff I did for my rat/bobber I was building. I never
finished it. I just put it up for sale. Prolly gonna regret
selling it but haven't touched it in 2 years. Sentimentality
       hasn't gotten me anywhere.
