Before you pull out your books and get ready for class the
teacher opens the textbook and starts reading a chapter about
the conquests of Napoleon Bonaparte. His monotonous voice makes
you close your eyes and remember nothing. Ah, minutes to listen.
After the first lesson you go into the next room and get a
warning that the second teacher is waiting for you there. He
stood next to a map of Europe hanging on the blackboard.
Yet his lesson was entirely different. of Bonaparte's successive

preparing for the next conquest. You don't
even notice when class ends and the bell rings. Example If
you're a book lover you're probably familiar with this feeling.
Think back to a time when you read a book that really interested
you.

Do you remember when you were reading the next chapter and you
forgot about the world around you without hearing the noise from
the window or other family members and then suddenly someone
walked into the room and you woke up from reading and needed a
recovery period to get back to reality. The above example
reflects the processes that occur in our brains. When a story or
situation is interesting the brain subconsciously focuses as
many neurons as possible on that activity.
