Looking for a casual, legal drifting opportunity

Hi guys.
Stumbled across this board kind of by accident while looking for
car parts.
Anyway, just moved back to MI and was wondering where a good
spot for some casual (non competition) drifting might be.
Thinking street cars, helmets at the most etc. Nothing dramatic.
I do have some cars that are fun to slide around in and just
wanted to see what this board could bring up :)
Thanks,
Tom
;D

Test n Tune at Auto City Speedway is every Thursday. It starts
back up for the year on April 9th. It's only $10.

Hi welcome! Check out the events page. Most events are non
competitive. The good ones to learn at are the Peru, IN (big
airfield) Auto city is super close by and cheap and every
Thursday.
let us know if you need anymore info

It isn't really drift night, it's weekly test n tune for
everyone. We share the track with all the roundy round racers.
The only rule is basically don't take a car out that is in worse
shape than some of the demo cars that will be up there, don't
leak all over the track and wear a helmet. You basically line up
and wait your turn. Once it's your turn you can run the track
anyway you want until either you decide to stop or they flag
that time is up. You can go out as many times as you have time
for between 4 and 8pm...

Well, my cars shouldn't leak and that sounds pretty dope! So one
car on track at a time?
Can the infield be used or just the oval?
This sounds like a pretty neat way to spend thursday night! :D
What's the turnout like usually?

yup you can use the infield, the inner oval, the outer oval. All
of it.
Turn out is hit or miss. We tried coordinating which test and
tunes we'd go to to try and meet each other. Sometimes it'll
just be you sometimes 6 of us will all show up. Just depends.

For the most part we run one at a time. I haven't seen them do
tandem up there but the let Brian chase Robert with the camera
last year. The infield is fair game. The turn out isn't always
huge, sometimes there are 10 of us, other times you're the only
drifter there. Last year we tried to plan on the 3rd Thursday of
the month to get a big group. But there is almost always 1 or 2
ppl there.
