Interest in the new range?

Thought the first thread should be for opinions on the range!
Im not really keen on the 3, not for anything specific but it
just looks too small for me compared to what im used to in the
ZR. The 5 might be of interest depending on the engine choice
available, I think MG really need to sort a hot 1.8/2.0 version
to get some interest from those who still view them from a
sporty standpoint.
Same thing with the six, when the BTCC version was anounced I
thought they might finally beef it up a bit, but they stuck with
the same standard spec 1.8 and threw some stickers on it.
Massive missed opportuinty in my book, a version similar to the
ZS180 would have made me think twice!
Opinions?

I think they need either a supercharged or turbo model at least
220hp to get noticed :)

They need a good powerful Diesel turbo as that's the way its
gone lately

Its A Chinese car company that dont have a clue about what MG
is! Even their literature has old MGs in it with the wrong model
name next to them! MG for me is everything built up until the
name went to china! Comparing an MG to a Seat misses the point,
and possibly has Mr Kimber turning in his grave! MGs are
different they are fun not always the fastest but also the best
known sports cars in the world and yet they dont make a sports
car any more......the whole thing is very sad!

However, it's a sign MG have moved with the times!! 2 dr
convertibles have a very small market share, and they are there
to make money. Also, this coming from a man who owns an MGZT-T
lol!! Hardly a sports car haha.
I think they need to stick to the concept designs and stop
Chinesing the British designs, it may sell to the Asian market,
but not here.
They need to learn, and learn fast!!

Very true I own a ZTT which is actually a BMW 5 series in many
ways! But i also own a real MG..MGB GT ! But i have to say time
has past and the MG6 may be growing on me!!!
