       Winter Tyres Fitted to Leopardmobile...

       And they have made a massive difference; Goodyear Ultragrip 8;
to quote Autocar magazine it feels like my car has been
"unlocked" somehow. It has been worth the 435 pounds as I have a
seventy mile round trip to work which includes some untreated
roads. It is definitely cheaper than crashing! If you can
afford to do so, they are highly recommended! :D

I think about it every year and then think, worse case scenario I
wont be able to get to work or home from work, but then I can put
up with London transport trains (but only just),worth it though
if you know your going to be travelling in conditions that may
be bad, will you be swapping wheels about for winter or have you
put them on for the whole time

Good evening... Or should that be good morning Alan! I've got
two sets of identical Fogey spec' comets so no probs swapping
from one to the other; increased tyre wear during the summer
months mean I'll swap back in April. I've driven with winter
tyres in snow and icy conditions in Central Europe and can
honestly say they make a difference! Won't turn into a rally
       driver though! :D

i've always thought about winter tyres, but i always have too
much good rubber to be worth getting rid of,
although i now have a spare set of alloys sat in the garage, so
i think i'll be ordering me a set of grippy shoes come july.
just need to fit the old set once the weather turns better so i
can scrub the last bit of life out of them.
