       Message : Scripts of three ( 3 ) rounds, with three ( 3 ) shots
at specified targets in each round.
Judging : Judging will be done on the forums by an event
appointed judge. Contestants do NOT roll dice to determine their
own scores. *In the event of a tie for prize placement, the
judge will roll one 100-sided dice for each person that tied.
HIGHEST roll, is declared the winner.
       Archery
Archery is a fun game designed to allow Goreans to participate
in friendly competition with one another using bows. The aim is
to outscore your opponent(s) using tactics and quick thinking.
It is a combination of dice rolls and strategy plans. The rules
are simple and this system has been designed to promote fun and
role-play, rather than ultimate skill. It has been kept basic
       and easy to understand.
The course will consist of the firing line where all contestants
must stand. They will be met with multiple targets at varying
ranges. Each target will be numbered and there are eight total
targets. Starting from closest target, that will be Number 1.
The furthest and eighth target will be number 8.
A Game of Archery consists of a Preparation Round, and then
       three rounds.
During the preparation round, the contestants will step up to
the firing line, state their bows and such. Once the three
rounds begin, each contestant will have one post per round, with
three shots per post. You may aim for any target and each shot
will accumulate to your final score at the end of the game. You
won't discover which shots have landed and which shots have
missed until it is judged. Though dice rolls are used to decide
which shots are valid, it is the judge who will make the rolls
when they judge it. This way suspense, excitement, and the
thrill of waiting to discover the results are maintained.
The further the target, the tighter the restrictions on the dice
roll and the higher number holds the higher risk of missing, so
sometimes it is smart to go for the highest number, and
sometimes it is smart to play it safe.
A single 100-sided dice is rolled for each shot. Here is the
chart of how the rolls are decided:
TARGET #1 - 10 or More is Valid.
TARGET #2 - 20 or More is Valid.
TARGET #3 - 30 or More is Valid.
TARGET #4 - 40 or More is Valid.
TARGET #5 - 50 or More is Valid.
TARGET #6 - 60 or More is Valid.
TARGET #7 - 70 or More is Valid.
TARGET #8 - 80 or More is Valid.
You may group up with as many as are available when you are or
you may do it on your own. The competition sport is then
scripted and posted up for a Judge/Story Teller to make the
rolls and declare who is victorious.

       Preparation Posts
       Solomon
I moved up to the line and took my place, I was not a very tall
man, but I did have big arms and held with the longbow in my
right hand as though I was born holding it. I had a quiver of
twelve arrows hanging from my back. My right foot stepped
forward to present my right side and I took one of those arrows
out but did not yet notch it. I glanced over at you to see what
type of bow you had chosen. Then my eyes cast ahead of us
towards those numbered posts that lined up at varying distances
       to us.
       Mora The Explorer
My own bow was a short bow, hand crafted with an expensive
bowstring of unequal quality. A slave came along quietly and
stood a wicker basket next to me, collected within and ready for
me were 15 arrows. I knew I would not need that many, but just
in case. I held my short bow in my left hand and my fingers
plucked at the string gently to text it. It was the first time I
had played such sport, and the first time I had played any sport
against a Man. I felt like I was doing this for the women!! and
losing was NOT an option. I gave you a quiet smile and signalled
that I was ready with a nod of my head.
       Round One
       Solomon
I notched that first arrow and assessed the posts. We were both
at zero for now but I hoped to gain an early lead so I aimed for
the closest Post (Target 1) and fired a shot. I was quick to
claim a second arrow, drawing it from the quiver at my back and
I took another carefully aim, This time for (Target 3) I pulled
back on the bowstring and then let the arrow fly with a twang.
If my calculations were correct and both shots were successful,
that would put me in the lead now by four points, and I still
had another arrow to go. “Do you want to wager on the game,
Lady?” I asked whilst drawing out my third and final arrow of
the round. I notched it, pulled on the string, but lingered a
moment, trying to form a strategy in my head, did I go high, or
play it safe? In the end, I chose to aim for (Target 2) let the
       arrow fly.
       Mora The Explorer
I laughed as you called me lady and tried to get under my skin
with your banter.~ “Please, Call me Mora.” ~ I looked over the
arrows waiting for me in the basket, the flights were made from
many different types of material and I picked one with pretty
pink feathers. I also chose to play it safe and aimed for:
(Target 2) I released my grip on the string and shot for that
large number 2 painted on the wooden post in yellow paint.~ “And
if you want to wager Sir, how about the Victor getting to walk
       away with the loser's bow?”
(Target 1) I laughed quietly at my offer. My bow was unique,
hand crafted by my grandmother and considerably priceless in my
eyes. But for all I knew, yours could be a cheap one bought from
the local market and hardly worth a copper! I hoped I did not
just dupe myself into a lousy bet. I took an arrow with red
feathers and aimed for the closest target.
(Target 1) I fired my third arrow for the same target, hoping to
earn myself four points this round.
       Round Two
       Solomon
I watched you take your three shots, working a strategy in my
mind. If all arrows hit so far, that would make it six and four,
with myself taking the lead. My longbow was not a cheap weapon,
it was my father's weapon and had taken down countless beasts
with its powerful draw. “Deal!” I said with a grin. I fired my
first arrow for (Target 6) trying to double my points right off
the bat. When I fired my second shot, I aimed for (target 2) to
try and round it off to a total of fourteen points. (Target 1) I
aimed for the closest, looking to bank at least some points in
case the other two missed. When I was finished taking my three
shots, I stepped back and bowed dramatically, waiting for you to
take your turn so that I could take your bow.
       Mora The Explorer
Your bow would look nice mounted above my fire place back in my
hut. I was quick to snatch up an arrow and I squinted towards
       the targets.
(Target 4) I fired the first shot, aiming to hammer the painted
number right in its middle, then I fired the other two arrows in
quick succession. I had grown up with the bow and your longbow
might have more power, but my sweet little bow would rapid fire
and my shots would be over within moments of each other.
       Round Three
       Solomon
I grinned at your eagerness and watched how you took all three
shots so fast, aiming for the same post with each one, If All My
shots had landed, I would be currently scored at fifteen. But it
all your shots landed, You would be scored at sixteen, which
meant I was losing. I grumbled and took aim for my first mark.
(Target 1) I played this shot safe and used it to try and equal
our points. And now that I had, (Target 4) I took a risk and
aimed for a higher number in order to boost my lead. The next
arrow would be my last arrow of the game and I decided that I
would go out with a bang, (Target 8) so I aimed for the furthest
target, all the way out there down the field and beneath a
       leaning tree.
       Mora The Explorer
I had to laugh at your excitable shots. You were trying to score
higher than me, I was just trying to score! I didn't take quite
the same amount of risks as you did.
(Target 3) I aimed for the third post along and hoped to score a
few more points to my total.
(Target 2) My arms were starting to get tired from all this
shooting and so I did not want to try for something too far out,
instead I fired a pink feathered arrow at Number 2.
(Target 1) My last arrow, zipped towards the closest post where
I hoped I would hear a thudding sound against wood, signalling
       that my arrow was true.
When I was finished with my shots, I placed my bow into the
basket and turned to face you with a dip of my head. ~ “Thank
You for the game of sport Solomon, It was definitely worth
cancelling my shopping trip for! And I hope I get to try my hand
at this again, good luck with the scoring and may the best
shooter win!” ~I made my way off the field and back towards the
       pathway.~
As you can see, both participants posted in entirely different
ways, but both ways are valid. There is not set template that
you must try and learn, this system is developed for fun and to
implement friendly sport into the Gorlympics.
The one thing they both had to make sure they did do was to call
out their targets. It is a simple rule and all you must do is
include the word “Target” and the number that you are aiming
for. You must put these three call outs in brackets in your post
so that they are not lost within your words.
