[On the Thassa]
-on a Ship sailing on the Thassa Sea-
says to ALL: I had been away for a hand ..it felt like forever..
I stood on the ship and Looked out over the Thassa.. and enjoyed
the last of the trip..the ship was full of goods and stock for
the Home..it had been cold the Last few days and Nights I was
looking forward to being in My hut and soaking up the wrath of
My own fires…..I thought of the Home and That all was well.. the
sound of the Goats could be heard up on the deck..i felt they
missed the solid grounds also….We could see Hulneth Now and The
Horns sounded as we rounds the Cliffs and Moved in to the
sheltered area … the place That my ship would

says to ALL: As the ship pulled up and threw the anchors over
the ship was prepared to be settled in the waters for the
night….The Horns of Hulneth Blew sending message That the
Merchants ship was home safe…. as I sorted my cabin and gathered
the goods I needed to take back to the Island some of the crew
took it and had it lowered to the serpent ship awaiting to
transport Me and My goods and men back to the island...

- on a serpent ship, approaching the entrance to the fjords -
says to ALL: After climbing down the nets and abroad the serpent
I would take my place and watch as the other serenest were
filled with goods and Other produce That had been bought home to
the Home….was then The men all Began to Cheer and the oars
reached out to pull on the water to take me and mine home…Bubba
moved to sit alongside Me and began to tell me what was
happening in the Home while I had been gone…. That all was
well.. and each and all were safe… I would Nod and smile at the
Good news…..

Her thoughts were now Lost on what she stared at her fleet of
serpents…she had many was enough to allow her to travel
some....she watched her crew...Fine men Loyal and supportive to
a FW.... although She paid Them well and Granted passage for
there families to come with them to Hulneth …she did that for
good reason...loyalty to them...she recalled the day she found
them Up for auction on the slave Blocks at one of the markets...
and How her lies to the auctioneer gained her very own crew back
safe and sound.... My chin Lifted slightly and The smile Grew
over her face as she saw the oars drop... and The Laughter
Echoed over The waters of The Thassa.....
The challenge had Been set...and I had the best Seat...here on
one of My Own serpent ships…..The first Man dropped to the oars
Sculling His first mead... and To the screams of the
crew...started to run the oars.....:
"The Oar Dance began" I raised My hand into a fist into the
skies as The Man made The length of the ship...and climbed on
board to gain His prize.....yet another mead…..Then another
Warrior Dropped to the oars ...Oh No I knew Him...one of the
bigger drinkers of My Crew......His Hand Hitting at His chest...
and His feet danced quicker then his thoughts Over The oars
timber ....alas his foot slipped and he was Down off the oar and
Into the water...My Hand Moved to My lips and covered the
shocked look....as laughter Then left My mouth...I restrained
from Screaming Out...But watched as The next Warrior sculled His
Brew....

says to ALL: I could see that the stakes now had just risen..
and Called out to Bubba to Add My coin to the Crews pot of
gold....The winner took all.... I so wanted to be in that...I
could Not dance the oars but I could Throw My Jamee up to have a
go...and she was the best at all that stuff..... Bubba left The
ship ...tugging jamee along with him........would not be long
and jamee would have The Betting sorted.... as Bubba made it to
the serpents jamee now was free from his clutches ... jamee Ran
and Jumped on that ship like a wild larl...ready to start The
business side of things happening.....I remained standing
Watching and of course scheming on ways to gain ... coin... I
was not rich from just hard work...
jamee moved to the Warriors and The other girls who served the
Warriors...Mead Was being handed out freely ... The Next Warrior
climbed from the ship... and removed his furs.. only to loose
balance and roll back and in to the water I rawer with
Laughter... Hands moved Over the edge to pull the soaked Warrior
up and near the fires.... jamee called out Odds your in the
water Evens you make it to the end... I nodded and would Take
score as I waved to The men... and they motioned for me to join
Them....That was never going to happen ....drinking
continued...jamee took bets for the next men....small bets to
start coppers after all the men were still not drunk......she
shook the helm the coins rattled as the Next Warrior Removed His
Fur... and tunic... Then Lowered Himself from the ship....
finding His footings.....balance an important issue as I watched
and waited...... the roars of the Men Filled the air....as the
man Took to the dance skipping and Stepping Over the Now wet
oars

[Approaching Hulneth]
- on a serpent ship, approaching the entrance to the fjords -
says to ALL: He almost made It but slipped the oar slipping
between his legs and his body slammed down against his Thighs
Moans came from the men on board the man slipped off the ores
gripping His bits..... another reached over gripping His Hair
and tugging Him closer to the ship....they pulled Him aboard and
filled him with mead to numb the pain...I would need to have the
physician look Him Over later make sure he is ok..... The Next
man Gripped jamees arm another gripped the helm of coins and in
a swift Lift and shove she was on the oars....Now this girl
could dance the fine line... she was The best... One of the Huge
warriors slapped her arse and sent her on her way... she wobbled
one Leg raised to gain balance the other Gripping the oars....
arms stretched out as I bit My lower Lip.....arms wobbled as her
dainty feet Moved like a rabbit from one end to the other
dancing the Oars as the men Cheered and screamed out praise for
her.....Drinking Back the Mead and refilling the Tankards as
That girl of mine did her stuff

says to ALL: But No the oars wet slippery and her Balance off
...too many kisses I am thinking...I would ban her as My Coin
was lost…. jamee screeched and she was plucked from the waters
and offered mead... "Oh No " I whispered ...i knew what she
would be like if The mead got to her.... another slave was
thrown over The side to make coin and was Then her Master jumped
.... "TWO FOR THE PRICE of ONE" he called out as he shoved the
girl slightly "RUN WENCH" he called as the lass danced the oars
and the Master of her followed.... she Screamed he roared...like
a Bull on a chase.....Feet slipping and sliding ... the girls
feet gripping the timber The Warriors feet slipping.....

- on a serpent ship, approaching the entrance to the fjords -
says to ALL: I lent forward My Mouth open to watch This Display
of pure Talent..... The girl made it and scampered on Board to
be pulled as The warrior slipped and sliding Gripped The side of
The ship and hoisted himself up only to fall and land in the
Waters ....Roars Laughter and screams of .... HAI 's.... flooded
the air...and one of the Dry warriors Stood on the side of the
Serpent gripping The helm of Coins....Lifting it to the air NO
WINNER... as everyone sung Praise to the coin... I threw my head
back and Laughed Loud....This display something else....

[At the docks]
..A single wooden dock on the bank of a river where serpent
ships may dock to load and unload small amounts of cargo or
passengers..
says to ALL: I moved then along to the Side of My Serpent and
jumped to the Docks looking back to watch the Other Men pull the
Warriors aboard the ships as they headed to Hulneth docks....I
was Home

Members arrive home... some Wet some dry But Many Ready for a
Night of drinking and dance... As the children all ran to greet
there fathers and tie off the serpents was then the Ladies of
there warriors came and Hugged and gave food...Welcome was
screamed to all[/center]
