Oenomel comes Home to Hulneth

Lush tendrils of rich enerald line the worn earth path leading
through the village.
says to |..Oenomel..|: Was early and I had yet to speak with
you...My time had passed so quickly since I had arrived Back in
Hulneth...it felt like yesterday...But hands in time had passed
.... as I moved along the pathway I tried to remember which was
your family Hut.... I stopped and Hit at the door firm...But
when the man came out it was the wrong Home...I felt embarrassed
and spoke softly to the Man...
"Marcus The Farmer ?" he of course said No so I continued
..."You are Not the Man who can get me enough Staw to make
targets for archery?" he looked at me again..."No" he said and
closed the door...I just laughed and headed down the street
stopping now and then to try and remember

day-break, again. I never could sleep late and once I began my
studies in my Caste, I simply didn’t have the time to sleep and
once the boys were born sleep became a distant memory for me. It
was alright in any case, because I seemed to function better in
those wee, morning hours rather than late into the night. I
supposed it was just how some of us were made. -
- I was already washed up and dressed and sitting at the small
table with sheats of rence scattered everywhere, ink pot and pen
in hand, poised there and tapping at my chin as I contemplated
my thoughts. The door to my hut was wide open allowing for
sunlight to brighten the place and for the fresh air to drift
inside. I could catch the scent of food wafting from the Main
Hall and considered breakfast as well. But then I caught
something else..and I stood to see if someone was approaching.-

through your help in informing the High Jarl of my visit, but I
felt very much like I knew you and well, You would be the only
one here who would know me by name! I hurried toward you and
threw my arms around you in a warm hug. It was rather like
having some fictional character you only read about through
stories suddenly materialize before you and I was a little
overwhelmed.-
"Nyah." -I spoke softly as I released you, still smiling.- "It
is good to see you."

honoured Guest and to be well protected whilst you called your
fathers home yours....

This was my mother’s homeland and though my father was Karian,
he had grown to love this place almost as much as if he had been
born here himself. I knew he had been loathe to take my mother
away from here but his duties to Kar eventually moved us there
and I was far too young to recall anything being but just an
infant when we left. I knew you were aware my mother had left us
for the City of Dust almost seven years hence, but in many ways
she was still right here and your words remarking on my
appearance were familiar to me by those who knew her, including
my father. I could not help but be elated to hear I looked like
her, because she was a beautiful woman.-
“I am Nyah. Been five years now since I have been practising
fully, my Caste.” – of course I knew you would understand what
that meant, though my children not being here with me, as they
were both still young, might have already had you wondering.
Too, my coming alone spoke volumes and I had not been able to
write in recent months to explain what had transpired before my
leaving Kar for here. -
“I was hoping I might be able to call this home, for I don’t
know how long yet, Nyah.”

looking for some work..I am able to offer the Medical care of My
slaves here in Hulneth ..Lady Essa usually tends to this But she
lives in Scagnar and I like the thought of them being looked to
at all times...Plus I would have a position here as Hulneth
Physician...for as long as you can stay?" I would watch to see

to say that I was glowing. In fact, I was pretty much radiating
from the inside out and barely containing my excitement behind
the smile on my face. I had not even thought about such a
possibility when I embarked on this journey and it was really
just perfect. I squeezed you again gently.-
“I would be absolutely honoured, Nyah. I couldn’t think of
anything I would enjoy more. Thank you.” -It was well and truly
a thank you for all of it. Calling Hulneth home for as long as I
wanted, tending to your slaves and the position of Hulneth
Physician- it sparked such joy me in I wanted to laugh. The last
few months had been difficult and this was sorely needed. -
“I don’t think thinking about it will change my course but I
will give you a final answer in a hand or so just as formality.
But I will be glad to look after your slaves and whoever else is
in need of course.” -My mind was moving quickly, as it tended to
in the early morning hours.-
“ I have heard the villagers talking about an archery contest. I
did make sure to sign up for it and I even have my bow with me.
I shall have to practise. Do you need any assistance in the
planning? I am more than happy to help.”

restrained excitement mimic my own. Everything was going far
better than I even dreamed and this allowed me to relax even
more-so than I had since setting foot on this soil. -
“Oh, yes! We shall have to practise. I have a vicious
competitive streak. It’s either because I am Karian or because I
am my father’s child.” -I chuckled-
“Oh and let me at the supply hut. I don’t mind organising and if
I am to take the position I would like to see what is at my
disposal, if that is alright with you?”
