says to FriggCagedJotunheimr|RPO: Kobe's eyes drifted across her
form, more exposed in public than it ever had. Swollen breasts,
belly starting to show - all because of her condition. She got
allowances for that, mothers always got allowances, especially
if they were pregnant. She was still pushing him around, even
inside the cage. And now he could 1) let her go hungry until a
bond showed up; 2) let her out so she could eat; or 3) get her
food. Well, at least this time he'd get to pick what she ate, he
didn't have to look at that disgusting combination of meat
slathered with chocolate. He didn't say anything, he simply
turned and went back to the servery and he got the bond to put a
thick cut of meat on a metal plate along with a mound of mashed
suls, and some gravy. It wasn't hot, it wasn't fresh, but it was
nourishment. Kobe hadn't gotten that much while he was out
ice-fishing. He brought back the plate (complete with fork),
crouched, and slid it into the cage. He then stood, watching
her.

plate, she could tell that it wasn't hot but didn't complain;
this whole thing could be worse. As the food was slid into the
cage,she tried to keep things pleasant."Thank you,Kobe" Hands
grip at the plate and brought it upward. Fingers moved against
the eating prong and dipped it into the suls and then pressed to
mouth,nearly choked onthe cold suls and gravy but swallowed with
a slight eye twitch to the left eye. Took some of the meat as
well,biting here and there to chew it. Tried not to really say
anything, her tongue was held while scarfing down the food
quickly. Eyes watered,she wasn't used to cold food.The water
helped wash it all down and slid the plate out once it was
finished off, she did crave something sweet but thought that was
pushing too far on his mood towards herself.

the next table dancing for The crew ....she was busy and didn't
look in that direction....still jamee had not left the small hut
she was staying in...jamee was sick and still on the medicine

know what she was in for. He left the plate there, a bond could
get it. His "aid" only went so far. He wasn't saying **** about
her future until he talked to Kalton and Destin. He knew of a
Magistrate, but that guy didn't have sense the kings gave a
bosk, so he wasn't consulting him about anything.

(just learned this trick yesterday!) Kobe then turned and he
went to a more pleasant area of the hall. Frigg was caged and
The Hunter wasn't gonna entertain her. He sat down not too far
away, nor too close, to Nyah. "Tal, Nyah, how have you enjoyed
your stay in Jotunheim?" Kobe saw her working in her ledger,
writing down words and everything. Originally the son of
peasants, but leaving that for a peripatetic lifestyle as a
hunter, he couldn't read. He looked at the ledger a bit
distrustfully. So many women read and did figures and he was
beginning to think the ability filled their pretty heads with
strange ideas.

to say,and discuss in private with her companion, but he left
her there in the cage with now an empty plate after he had
watched her eat like some common slave and the food wasn't even
heated from the kitchen. Had felt the kick up into her ribs and
grimaced, a hand pressing down against stomach to adjust the
foot out of her ribs.Looking to those in the hall. Knowing that
was something which was normal and so didn't' pay much mind to
it. There were so many words on her tongue, but kept it still.
Eyes followed after Kobe, her hunter. Leaning back in the cage
and stretched out as much as possible,the under garment adjusted
to make sure nothing showed as much as possible. A slave came by
to take the dishes out and then returned with more water from
the kitchen, took the water and drank further watching more
become awake and into the hall. A little on guard while nursing
the cool liquid and listening to what was happening.

companion," then the look back. Caged women were not that
atypical of a sight in the north. Perhaps pregnant caged women
were . . .a LOT more uncommon. Kobe's head hurt and he took
another sip of blackwine, tyring to drive it away. It was a
conundrum. And then his typical ironic mirth surfaced in his
eyes, followed by a comment. "You'll have to forgive the decor.
I know it's unsettling for a Free Woman to see one of her . .
."sisters" in a cage. She's getting close to term, and I may
keep her there until she gives birth, so it may be a sight
you'll have to get used to." Kobe was trying as hard as he could
to figure out how to collar her and ensure his child was not a
slave. That was one possible solution. He had NO INTENTION of
restoring Frigg to her previous status. He hadn't said anything
yet, but he thinking on it. "Tell me, do you know of any
situations where a mother of a free child is a slave? How long
does the child do what the mother says?" Kobe HATED trying to
work through social puzzles, and this was something that he'd
never thought of - what man did? He ignored Frigg - she was
caged, her future to some extent set.

says to Everyone: ..Saw the looks from Nyah and Kobe both, her
companion telling the other to get used to the fact that Frigg
was there.It felt like something sharp stabbed her and breathed
in quickly before allowing it out slowly. It seemed northern
children developed faster,even if Kobe was a southerner she was
northerner. Rubbed at her side again. "Not now" she tried to
settle her stomach, five ehn's later another stab of pain rushed
through her and sweat poured across her face, it was obvious she
was trying to hide the pain and so turned her body away that way
her back was towards them both. It wasn't until a gush was felt
and landed all over the cage floor, her hands come out along the
bars and gritted her teeth.She was further along than others
thought, they had been companioned a while now over nine months.
One of the bond maids heard her and looked worried, trying to
shake her head to get her to stop looking and basically spoke
through her teeth "Get away" at the moment she felt like some
sort of protective animal over its bairn.

narrowed slightly. He heard the shock. Yeah, it was brutal, he

do. "For the moment, yes." Kobe knew that Frigg could hear them
and it mattered not to him. As far as he was concerned, he was,
in a way, saving her life. "My very first, I have to say. It's
not working out, obviously." One corner of The Hunter's mouth
quirked upwards, a wry expression. He was NOT happy about it,
and sometimes he felt like the Kings were having fun kicking his
ass around the proverbial arena. He was moving through the
situation very very carefully. "Surely you've seen companions
caged or collared or both?"

give birth and the child is free…then the mother could be
collared and still care for the child…my children were bought up
by my slave -jamee- and they are extraordinary children" with
that I then looked to the cage hearing Frigg.. and seeing the
position of The Lady….plus the bonds face

bars breathing through the pain trying not to be overly vocal
about it.."Speak to her only" it was then the bond maid would
come towards you and whisper in your ear that Frigg's water
broke. It was a woman thing, Kobe wouldn't know what to do she
had thought and so felt more comfortable with having the girl
speak to Nyah first at her ear. Frigg kept her position in the
cage not moving to face anyone else.

aware when his mind was not gripped by what he called "The Paga
Haze." He heard a bond gasp and he looked over. He rose to his
feet, with a muttered "Oh ****." All "casualness" flew out the
door and he walked swiftly over to the cage. Her garment was
soaked, and liquid had pooled on the floor of the cage. Kobe had
skinned animals large and small. He could remove a tenderloin
from inside an animal's rib/backbone with esquisite precision.
He could construct a makeshift hut, he could cure hides, he
could tie a kajillion knots. He couldn't do this, no way, now
how. He looked into the cage, then fumbling fingers, normally so
dextrous, picked at the locking pins. "**** **** ****," The
Hunter Whispered, panicked. He got it undone, then opened the
door. He stepped in, crouched, and with the ease of a man that
had picked up many a slain tabuk that weighed far more than her,
he picked her up and he carried her to the hearth and lay her on
the furs beside the hearth. He was no healer, no physician, and
frankly, the man who had butchered many an animal was feeling .
. . nauseated.

so many days spent under Lar Torvis turning a little green. What
was he supposed to do? He knew, he needed to go hunting, a long
hunt, no, a short hunt, a hunt for urts outside the great hall -
they had a big problem with urts, he just knew it although he'd
never seen one. "We are under attack," he said wildly, trying to
come up with something. "I must help." Short, stupid, but
anything to get out. And with that, he prowled over and walked
outside, completely forgetting his gloves and his cloak. (I have

she was being dragged out of the cage. Gripping at his tunic and
shrieked "You did this to me!" shoved at him and then set on the
furs before the fire. The bond maid under Nyah's orders would
get warm water, cloths and towels.Anything else she needed as
well, Frigg grabbed at the furs as another contraction hit.
"I'm...."Breathes "going to "breathes "Kill HIM!" Kobe had left
her there to give birth alone with Nyah, she wanted to kill him
even more at that point.

issues and was squaking loudly already. A small choking sob

had a good pair of lungs so it seemed, her face washed and the
encouragement helped.

"wipe the babes face and then pass her to her mother...."
The bond did as asked as My hand then moved back to feel Friggs
tummy..."you have a little girl Frigg congratulations ....she is
beautiful and has an amazing set of lungs...you will need to
have the healer look her over and yourself as well...but for now
relax we need to finish this off....you just enjoy the babe....
the bonds will clean you up after the placenta has come

placenta had to be delivered now, so not the fun part either.
But knew it would come out easily as well, a messy job none the
less.The girls were wiping her forehead still and then eased off
once the child was in her arms. Cradling it in close,the
argument and cage thing forgotten.

will need to rest up here Frigg untill your Mate returns.. I am
sure he will then have you taken to your Hut...But for Now you
need to keep warm keep that babe warm and get strong....would

rested?"

that Nyah had her child, she relaxed and the bond maids wold go
and get the tea bringing it back and food which wasn't cold this
time. Ate perhaps about half but drank all of the tea.Indeed she

door But….jammy was still sick and recovering so i had allowed
