- Somewhere in the waters off the City of Cos-
[ Aboard a skiff in the waters close to the City, fog drifts
over the waters making the route treacherous except for those
who know her waters. ]
: It was early and I was on the way to the City of Cos. The mist
layered the Thassa making it hard to see in the
distance...Winter was coming.. I had little time to sort out a
herd of beasts for Joe...to make sure he had enough Meat milk
for when they get snowed in....Bubba was at the bow.... me, for
now was seated towards the stern..trying my best to keep warm...
the skiff slid over the waters as The rowers pulled on the
ores.. the sound of the ore moving through the waters made Me
smile...I truly did Love what I did...I thought on Joe and How
it was good to have him back and see Him excited about His new
venture...I remember when Hulneth was built and How The home was
loved by all.. time will now be busy once again...Tugging the
fur round My shoulder and Over My Lap....So much had happened
over those years....

: The Light of the Day was poking through the skies.. the mist
fading some...but we still needed the lanterns to guide
us....The trip today was smooth ...the skiffs that followed kept
close...4 in all ..all in the formation of an arrow... I stood
and made My way to the front of the skiff .Standing with Bubba
and watched as the docks of Cos drew closer...the city was
alight with lanterns the horns sounded as my Fleet approached
the docks.....
I leased two old vineyards ...from Dratts years ago...and my
verr grazed and were sold off from there ..Ol Joshes family
maintained the business for Me and had many hired help...the
business had grown and supplies from my stock filled Gorean
Homes...Essa had More stock in Scagnar....The Breeding had been
very successful...One day when Joe has the time I will need to
let Him know where his coin was used..and how well off He
was....not that he concerned himself on the financial side of
His business....

[ ships all moored ready to load or offload goods ]
: My skiff was the first to dock and I moved from the skiff -to-
the docks helping to tie off the ropes , then Heading over to
speak with the dock Master re cost for the docking of my 4
vessels....
As we moved along the docks I looked up to see the wagons were
there waiting as instructed.....I motioned to some of the crew
to take over the reigns of each wagon and prepare to head out of
town to the vineyards.....word had been sent,,and the animals
should be ready to load. The Lady Nyah was almost at Cos and by
the time we returned back to the docks she would be ready to
load the verr into Her hull......and then we head back to
Scagnar and wait to deliver the heard to Skjern.....a lot to do
little time to waste

The veer graze over the hectors of lush grazing lands.
: The wagons moved along the dirt road ...travelling for a
while...the place here was busy far to busy for Me to
reside......plus i was never one for wines and such-s-....ahead
was the track that lead to the property i leased... turning the
wagon to make way to the residence... I could smell the food
from here and Knew a feast would have been prepared for my Crew
and Myself....the children were now running alongside the
wagons....laughing and calling out...they knew I had gifts for
them and fresh fish..was then I saw Ol Joshes family waving....
I stopped the wagon and climbed down motioning to jamee to
continue driving...
" take the wagon to the pens Bubba will have the verr loaded..
you jamee will come find me"

I made My way over towards The people I called family and
Offered My Greetings talking with them asking How everything
was.They told me stories of the things that had been happening
and laughed a lot doing so…
Years ago Dratts had leased me two rundown properties so I could
graze and breed veer for My business…Now I supplied veer to the
Markets and auction…also meat to many inns and Homes Over
gor…many had gained from the business i had bought along with
me…the slaughter house has grown and same with the tannery..all
good for My business in the long run….

We all moved inside and Clara, Joshes sister showed me of the
Improvements her partner and hired help had done to the small
residence..I was impressed…Clara and Petree, her man had worked
hard… rewarded well of course…..
was not long and jamee entered the room and came to whisper news
to me… i listened and gave a nod,,,
"go wash up and prepare to offer Clara assistance mine.." and
with that jamee moved off to the small cabin that was Mine… used
by me when here….I called many a place home…but I only ever had
one real home…..

We moved to the outside to where a large table had been set for
myself and the Men so they could eat and drink after such a long
trip….it would not be a huge Night for This Trip was to be
quick..so we would not get caught in the storms or snows….was
not long and My Men joined the family ..all well known and very
pleased to be reunited with kin….
Bubba explained all he had organised and would have the veer
taken to the -Lady Nyah- first thing in the morning…loaded and
sorted for travel back to Scagnar to meet with MacBain…..
"We Have veer Vulo and Bosk? correct?" I asked Bubba and he
nodded
"aye That we have and included are some nannies for milking and
there kids..6 crates of 8 vulo per crate, 3 nannies 5 kids…20
Meat verr , 1 stud verr, 4 working bosk ….4 bosk should do for
now if MacBain is in need of others I think Essa has some
grazing in Scagnar that are yours….that will give him 2 to work
the fields 2 to cart the logs…and any goods "
I would nod slowly…."Excellent…I have some Item I shall collect
from the warehouse in Cos while I am here ..and make sure All my
accounts up to date in payment till next visit…." Bubba nodded
and I motioned to the Food…."Eat Up Bubba big days Ahead -s- "
and with that continued in conversation until the evening came
to an end…
