Hunting Trip = success

says to ALL: I had Slept far to long this was probably the first
time In My stay in The camp... it was a good sign.... things
were quiet it was early... Just How I Liked it..... I lay My
clothes out on the bed … My blue under shirt lined in gold twine
around the neck and cuffs.... My brown tunic and My brown
leathers …. to one side I Placed My belt a thicker one then
normal but it was good for Me when hunting .. it would hold My
posture straighter when using My bow...... My tanned boots
placed at The side of The cot … pushed under the edge
slightly.....
I filled a bowl with warm waters and then gave myself a wash
before doing My Hair … braided and pulled back to keep it Free
from flowing in My face..... then I slowly began to Dressed...
last slipping on My Boots....
I Moved to The door of My wagon and Lifted The bundle of furs
that held My bow and quiver and placed it on the cot... slowly
undoing The Leather straps that held the Bow safe... the furs
were Open upon the cot and I reached down to pluck the Bow up
and begin to examine it.....

having found my bow and unwrapped it carefully and checking it
over making sure it was all perfect. The arrows and quiver were
unwrapped and checked and as I climbed out of the wagon the bow
over my shoulder.. quiver hooked to my belt my hand drew behind
me trying to delicately tug these pants from by backside. These
were tight.. I'd known they were tight but truly ? I wondered if
I could actually walk properly in them . I'd been told to wear
them.. they'll stretch but that was yet to be proven.

in all of us . This is the time of year when My focus switches
strongly over to bow hunting. The pursuit of game using archery
always took hold in a special place in my heart the sights,
smells, sounds and special challenges that it holds. I would
wait Till Essa woke for she Knew today we would take a kailla
each and cross to the Stream area and practice our aim and ready
ourselves for some hunting.. gathering Up Te Bow I checked it
Over and The arrows I was Pleased How straight they were and How
well My Bow fared up.... I made My way towards the door
...lifting the flap and Moved out to The porch and down the
steps … I saw you and smiled ….

animal pens I had already Had One of The thralls do up two
Mounts for us... and have them ready when we arrived.... off to
the right of The Pens on The grassed area were the two
Beasts.... as We came along side Them My Hand ran There flanks
slow Checking them over then pointing to the one to My right....
"That One is yours Essa Lol "
I had ridden that ne the day before and she was very obedient
and smart... just what you would need...."I am thinking we will
ride towards the Steam and have a Look there I have Been told
the animal Life has been good this time of day...."

Issue of someone Health The boy sent for Grey to come and travel
with me on the Hunt.....there was a chill in the Air... yet The
sun Shone from the Heavens..... a perfect day ... in Respect to
those fallen.... you could almost hear The rejoice from here....
as thunder sounded in the Distance..... Huge Tankards clashed
together as another Honourably Man enters the lands.... My lips
smiled for It was a better Men who Left knowing He had Travelled
His path with honour then to crawl under The wings of darkness
to become Nothing But dust.... again I smiled for I knew today
with Those sounds Ol Josh would be rejoicing and celebrating
Life That He shared with The Men of Gor....My heart felt heavy
... yet for what reason i did Not Know.....

says to ALL: I looked Over The Kailla as I waited for Grey.... I
checked The saddle making sure The Buckles were tightened to my
sanctification.... and Then Hung My horn Bow on the Left side of
my saddle and The Quiver of 20 arrows Hung attached to My
Back.....straps of leather held it in place crossing over my
chest... the arrows rested on my right side on My back giving me
easy access to the arrows..allowing me to reload quicker..a
spare quiver was hung on the saddle if Needed.... on the Left
was a length of leather rolled and placed ready for My use... a
leather sheath rested to The small of my Back that held 4 fine
quiva

some extra arrows for me.. along with some furs.... I gave Him a
smile as I took The arrows and One of the furs......
“Tal “ was all I said and with That I placed the 20 odd arrows
in to the spare quiver and then I lay The fur down and rolled it
….securing it with leather strapping …. now rolled and secured I
placed it behind the saddle and tired it off...2 Fresh cold
botas of water hung from the Horn of The Saddle and hung to My
left.... and was Then I ran My Hand slowly down the Neck breast
and shoulder of The beast... then Gripped at the reins and
Pulled Myself into The Saddle and Waited on Grey to Ready
Himself......

The kailla was headed towards The entrance of the camp... your
arm circled my waist and you held tight... it had been some time
That we had spent time out on the Plains but....the times we
shared riding on a kaiila was countless... I could almost feel
your smile as you pulled in to My Back...I could feel The
pounding of Excitement bouncing Off My Back your Heart so
Brave... your soul so committed.....
Once we had left The main entrance I looked to Grey and Then
Lifted My head slightly..... and kicked at The beast.... making
a Start off Over The Plains and out towards the Hunting area

Just slightly Blowing.... My Hair had been secured Back in a
braid that fell down my Back but alot Of the single strands were
let loose to fly in The wind.... I knew you would be not
impressed ... but you never complained so it was not going to be
an issue..... Grey Moved off to the right of a small Gathering
of trees up a Head ... I slowed down .... and had My Beast move
to the left.... Grey also slowed his Mount and began to walk....
The Beast wanting to Move back in to The Trot But he had pulled
it Back some...
I lifted my chin slightly and felt for The breeze... it was
blowing south.... towards Grey... I elbowed you softly.... so
you would Look to see what could be within This area.....
It was a Gathering of trees and scrub.... just in The Middle of
The plains... a place for animals to gain Rest from the heat ...
and safety from the prey..... Birds nestled within The tree
tops... They had taken fight as we approached and did not
return..... I frowned slightly and moved a little More to the
left of The wooded area

braid a tug but i decided i best not...chuckling slightly, i
loved Your hair and it was beautiful in a braid but then again i
liked mine in a braid as well...as we started across the plains
i kept my eyes peeled, i was pretty keen on things after all the
plains was where i started my life...
i watched You follow Grey, He was smart in His hunting and didnt
talk much...the beast just moved on ahead as Grey surveyed the
area
as Our beast moved off to the left, it was almost like a small
thicket just out in the opening...this You didnt see often so i
watched and all i heard was the birds wings fluttering as they
took off...i reached down to rub the kailla as it snorted as if
sneezing..

Beast.... Grey was out of site for now....I took The Bow from
The saddle The quiver and arrows on my back still... kitty to
had Extra arrows...... and Then I moved towards the Scrub and
Wooded area...
it was much smaller Then it had Looked from My approach on the
kailla
I stopped and turned to Look Out Over The Plains... The Grasses
Rolled like a wave would .... the sounds were soft and rumbled
as each gust of wind....made the lengths of grasses dance....
was Then I saw it.... as the Grasses rolled .... there was a
head.... lifted.... coated in Blood and guts..... was it its
own... of that of its kill.... My Hand Raised slowly.... very
slow in a motion to you so you would see the Beast off in the
Long Grasses.... he was in front of us the small wooded area at
our Rear... we were down wind of him so with no Movement and
alot of hope ... He may not see us.... But would smell Our
Kailla... either what he Ate he was enjoying Or we were in
trouble......

You slid down the beast..i was thankful You landed on Your feet
and not Your Bum..i fought back a laugh as i continued to watch
You...i stayed upon the beast...for now, the arrows still upon
my back if they were needed..
i remained very quiet...just watching and a breath was sucked in
deeply as i saw it there..the wind was blowing the other
direction and i was hoping our scent and our beast would not
signal Him ..he seemed to be other wise preoccupied, making no
of the blood on Him...i stayed really still

right shoulder My Bow held tightly in My Left hand.... and I
plucked an arrow as I watched The beasts head go down in to the
grasses for another feed from what ever it was eating,...
After knocking The arrow... and keeping My Bow pointed down for
now ... I moved slowly towards the trees.... you remained on the
Beast still Not Bringing attention to yourself..... you were
well aware of hunting and good at it.... I moved closer to the
tree Keeping it Behind me as I waited on the Beast to lift its
Head again......
It looked Like a smaller Prairie Sleen maybe Set Loose from its
mother to learn the hunt its self but still It was able to kill
a FW and slave Like us...... I raised The Bow slowly after I
took My stance... My eye set on the target and only hoped it
would remain in That same place for now..... waiting The Bow
String set against My cheek as I paused for The Moment[/center]

says to ALL: My eyes followed The Line of The arrow.... My
Breathing steady and my fingers itching to release.... my
thoughts on That Beast and it alone....
I knew my girl would Move off The Moment she got The chance but
for Now there was no need to make any sudden movement... the
scent of blood blew towards me.... was then the Beast Lifted His
head Dragging the Guts and flesh up with each pull on the animal
he Now had under himas he lifted his head high and shook The
Flesh needing it to break apart.... I held my stance countiong
in my mind....watching for The animal to Lift its head up
slightly More and Show his Throat....
Was then he did just That and my Fingers released the
shot....... as it flew through the air I plucked another arrow
Knocking ..taking aim and release.....again reaching for another
knotching taking aim and Waited watching

says to ALL: The Beast stood to its full height The lengths of
flesh dangling down from his mouth....the Blood smeared all over
its face......One ear was missing ..... I motioned for kitty to
move off to The rear of The wooded area .... and I turned my
body round The tree.. till I was on the other side of the trunk
...My body firm now against The trunk... the bow ready knocked
but Lowered ... then I moved Quickly to the Next Tree keeping
Hidden from The Beast...i could Hear The Beast Snorting with
anger over my Presence and The fact that he had been fired upon
while eating..
Kitty gripped The reins of The Beast and rode it to where I
pointed..... the Kaiila moved Like The wind...far to fast for
the animal who was already Tracking Me .... I was thankful for
all the blood it had Over it...My scent would be hard to sniff
out....for what he held in His jaws was delishlush enough it
seemed.
... He was smaller than the forest sleen although he was also
quite unpredictable and vicious, He stood about five feet in
length.. I was lucky he was young, his six-legs moving in their
undulating gait head moving from side to side, continually
testing the wind as he chewed on the guts that still hung down
to His chest..... he was pissed as his front leg moved to brush
at The bush but He was angered more with Every step he made
looking back to check on his killing...I could Hear him Pushing
through the scrub.... I remained quiet.... I waited to see if He
would turn Back to The Kill or continue hunting Me down

Blood coated his nostrils... so I had Been lucky as I saw Him
Turn and Move slowly Back to The Kill....kitty had Managed to
Get away without being seen either...and for Now I was Safe.....
my scent had not been picked up....for That would have caused me
issues They Never Loose that scent and will hunt till they
capture There prey..... the gods had looked after me Once
more......
I made my way from tree trunk to scrub... and kept Looking Back
to Make sure The Beast was still Eating.... I could Now See The
rear of the Beast as it mauled The kill some More its tawny
colored pelt covered in blood...one would think another would
now attack the young beast just from the smells it had over
it......it was wild and would have a mother close... I would
Need to let The Home know .... and Now would be The perfect time
to send The sleen after it fresh with That smell of Blood

the Long Grasses.... the sleen was still feeding...but I knew it
was now time to return back with grey and kill this animal while
we could....
Grey motioned me to My Kaiila.. and Kitty watched.... I moved
towards the two Beast and gripped Kitties hand.... She pulled
hard was not but a Moment and I was in the saddle and now kitty
was holding the reins....she made her way slow to Grey He didnt
speak... just motioned for me to Go one way and that he would
circle round and come out on the other side....the beast Between
us... he pulled up His lance shaking it forward his grip tight
and settled in the middle... I knocked the arrow and turned to
kitty and Nodded... I was behind her Now ,y bow Ready....as grey
took off slowly....then Grey began to speed up Heading out to my
left as I moved off to My right.... the best Now Moving at a
fast speed....As we both rode round The Beast it lifted its
Head... and swung round from side to side watching ...protecting
its kill for that Moment...as I fired arrow after arrow
attempting to This time hit the Beast

says to ALL: The arrows flew through the air one by One....each
hitting the Mark...The screams from the Beast were Loud.... a
blood curdling sound echoed the plains....Grey circled and
through the Lance at The Beasts chest... and Then it fell
Landing to The ground hard..... ..Grey called out for us to
remain where we were and I plucked yet another arrow from My
Quiver and knocked The arrow taking aim at the Beast presumed
dead... slowly Grey moved in to where The Beast had fallen...
His Lance piercing its chest Cavity the arrow through its
neck... It lay still...not even a quiver from is muscles... was
then Kitty Jumped down Taking the roll of leather over for Grey
to bound its feet.. it would be guttered back at camp and its
guts fed to The sleen in camp ....leaving the entrails out on
the Plains even if buried could bring others and they enjoyed
the taste of Bosk.... so that would not be a wise move....
Grey pulled the Beasts legs together and kitty bound
them...tying them in twos then all as one... making it easier
for the Kaiila to Bring it back to The camp....kitty then ran to
me for a fur.. and i threw it to her.... she bound that beast
chest and neck where the Blood would Leak out...just so a path
of blood didn't follow us back to camp....was not long and Grey
and kitty had the beast prepared for the trip back... I remained
in the saddle keeping look out over The plains just in case the
smell of death had reached another
