We had spent our days In The city of AR … I had worked at The
warehouses with the men who had Escorted me… the guards that
looked After me…given to me by Theredin ..They always remained
close …my two girls dressed in leathers and tunics stayed close
to me at all time… jammy had been given instructions to check
the wagons…grease The wagons axels and maintain the wagons on a
whole… she was tuck like Myself and no other would do such a job
as her…soraya would tend the bosk for now making sure water was
given as well as the right amount of grain… she would be
responsible for the water and food to be taken on one of the
wagons for the 5 day trip ahead….

I moved to the first wagon and would motion to One of The guards
to take This One and lead the caravan … I would travel on the
Third wagon with both soraya and jammy…all supplies at the ready
as the guard took mount…I would Move to The wagon allotted to Me
and Look it Over check the Beasts and The harnesses… Then move
to the front and climb up and ready myself upon the furs that
lay over the timber seat… my girls joined me.. and also Began to
ready the area… my Bow behind me at easy reach… my quiver of 20
arrows lent alongside between my girl and i… a dagger secured in
my boot and Many a different Lady item to ward off any who May
attempt to cause grief to the travels we now had arranged…..her
fur lined Boots kicked at the Brake as her hands shook the
reigns slightly…. jammy took her first swig of water and soraya
looked about the city and was pleased she was on her way
home…..the wagons moved one by one in a Train along the streets
heading for The main street them away from the city for Now
Bubba would Move to The gates to inform the Blue Helmet Warriors
of our plans as day 1 began …

us towards The Home of The Port....The wagons moved slow to
start...people stopped and watch eager to see who ran the
Travelling shipment.. as The wagons reached the Main gates Bubba
spoke to the guard and The 5 wagons were given permission to
leave......the sound of the wheels clacking over the Cobblestone
Made me smile it had been so long since I had gone on such a
trip ... I was Pleased at the time that The Next 5 days Might
offer.....

As they drove Through the darkness of Night they came to the
Valley looking out over The Fog bank that raised up by the Warm
waters of The river below…on the narrow dirt road the driver for
a moment lost control of The wagon and it Careened off the road
in to a small ravine…I could Hear the tops of the trees scraping
along the sides of The wagon… the men dismounted and others came
running to help the Wagon from the ravine….with a lot of help
finally the wagon was free and back on the track That would take
it down and to The area… where The Barges had been mored
Guards are seen chasing a thief through the city.

that would transfer all the Men back to the Port…. The wagons in
a Line off on the Banks of the river…. Men would Now work to
load the wagons on to the barges….and at first Light we would
set sail along the Issus River (( A northwestwardly flowing
tributary of the Vosk)) to then Return to The Port…

Barrels of Thalarian Oil... as they Reached The Main Gates The
small squad of riders moved forward and spoke to the gateman..
who gave permission for The wagon to pass

to Escort Me to The City of AR.....it was an honor to be
escorted By such fine Warriors..and they have now finished the
duty you gave Them...Please find I have left you a wagon with
the supplys you were in Need of
10 barrels of whale oil and 10 smaller barrels of Thalarian Oil.
This Would be in Payment for The Escorts...I hope my Note finds

Is making way along the Issus River towards the Vosk
the Next day the barges moved down the river setting out for The
Port of Cos---------about 45 pasangs downstream….as the Barges
drifted downstream, borne by the strength of the current…we got
a good Look at The Places scattered along the river banks the
people of the area… and the animals….the Clear boggy water
spread stain over the otherwise monotonous tan colour of the
Issus

The River Issus Meets The Vosk
As The small fleet of serpents and barges sailed towards the
Vosk it was then Nyahs serpent Moved closer to The last Barge
and gave instructions to Bubba
Bubba would continue along the Vosk towards Cos…then as time
allowed continue along the Vosk until we reached them again…We
would probably be 2 days behind but once on the way Back from
where we were to Travel we would catch up quick enough…
"Make sure to get the shipment to The Port..if I do Not Meet you
at the Vosk Delta I will Meet you on the Thassa…Travel quickly
and safe…..
he would Look her Over and Nod he didn't Like her travelling
Back But He also Knew she was stubborn and would do as she had
set in her mind….
"be safe lady Nyah ..I will see you in 2 days…. and with That he
raised His hand and Her serpent Broke from the fleet and headed
north along the Vosk…towards Sulport

the remains of a log cabin outside of the city, on the shores of
the Vosk ... used to raise verr and vulo and surrounded by
trees.))
The Next day I was standing on the river bank,,,wishing I could
go for a swim…but knowing I could Not fight the white water and
The intense cold of the glacier fed waters… I looked behind Me
to see The ruins of My Old Home in Sulport …It was quiet and
still I had managed to find a Property that was far enough away
from The City ….. very few ever came this far… so I knew for a
short time I was safe….I didn't bother going near the burnt
ashes of my home but turned back to the Men In My Serpent and
called one of the crew to come with me and help… he jumped in to
the ankle deep water and made way towards me….
"we have Little time But That is all we need…"
and with that… We moved along the sands and I would -stop- and
then continue …counting in My head then turning to the left and
heading towards the grassed area….much had changed… I would Only
hope that the rope I had left would still be Tied to the Bushed
area….. and as I pushed past the first line of long grass and
Messy bushy plants Ahead I saw the rope…. linked to the bush and
undergrowth..Fine hemp rope used for fishing nets…I knew it
would last in the weathers… and I turned to the Crew Man and
motioned to the rope…….as I pulled on the rope The Bush then
pulled On the next bush which would Lift the undergrowth and
expose the spot where the good s had been buried…anyone seeing
This ropes would think they were old fishing nets tangled In the
scrub… I got to My knees and began to dig in the very spot….I
was short of time…I had No clue if we had been seen and How Long
it would take for soldiers to come to find out who we were ….but
then again I was not sure if Sulport Had even survived the war……

It was not long and The old bags appeared in the wet sands….5
bags in all that contained my belongings….I passed one by one to
the crew man then stood and Looked about….
"That is all "…. I brushed the sands from My leathers then My
hands…."We Need to go and Now"
and with That we Moved swiftly to the serpent That was Ready to
set back on course to Port Phenix and meet up with The
barges…….as soon as My Feet were on board I gave orders to set
the oars and get us back on the Vosk and head towards the
Thassa…..My men were Torvie Men… Good strong men and once the
ores were set in motion The ship just glided over the Vosk…I
took to one of the Seats and lent back ….taking Deep breaths to
ease My nerves…. usually Little worried me…but this was not a
Normal memory…

I lent Back and remained silent…….
after a while I became sleepy…the rush of the water and The
monotonous rhythm of the ores combined with the occasional
murmur os the men lulled me to sleep…..i pulled my fur up over
my shoulder to help with the chill that filled the air….I slept
in the warmth of The sun that managed to come and go through out
the day……

When I woke dusk was falling…the current was swift here and
stubbornly resisted the pull on the Ores….. A huge Tree had
fallen.. it had been gouged out of the bank by the ice and had
retained a fragile hold where Its roots grasped the river
edge…the current was swift….Men used there ores to push and poke
at The branches the waters were far to deep for the oars to
reach the bottom…The dark oily waters swirled against the side
of the serpent…trying to rock it and pull it down to where it
wished to sail…the force of the ship tore through the Branches
The skill of the men taking command of The ship Leaving the
treacherous area behind…..Rowing across The other side of The
Vosk and would continue The journey

In the dark and cold the ever increasing cloud began to release
its Load of rain to add to our misery and we longed to be
home,fire and food… was not long and a Place was found and the
Serpent was beached and camp set for the evening…..I remember
walking to stumble into My furs and rested till dawn…..

sight
The Next day dawned bright and sunny…the air had been sweetened
by the Nights rain and smelled of tree leaves and moist
earth….We would set sail early to catch up with The other ships
and barges…. we would be Now only a Few Pasangs Behind…..with
luck we would group together and soon be on route to Home
The sounds of The Men in The serpents cheered to see the last
serpent catching up from behind…it was us and up ahead were my
Men safe so far with the Travels…We would pass Ven by lunch and
Then Turmus ….
We had made our way for hundreds of pasangs, River barges and
serpents travelling along the Vosk A head The vosk would start
to Break apart into its shallow… shifting channels ….My Men
knowing the route well….making way on towards The Thassa, Once
again The ships would Break up The fleet sailing Home to The
Port and I would stop in to See The Captain of Thasos
Tiberius.....
