Plans for the Barn

says to ALL: the day had Been a busy One I had finally spoken to
someone re the barn and tomorrow the Barn would begin... I would
Need to Remain at the Farm for the next hand at least to help
with The building... I was so hands on I wondered about my self
at times.... But I was always on a mission and This barn was
mine right Now......I knew If the contract with the ver went
through This would take most of what I had...so once the barn
was finished I needed to then buy up the ver i could to keep up
supply...that was never going to be an issue....well I would not
allow it to be anyways ....

says to ALL: I took One of The scrolls and Lay it Out over My
cot.... then Lay on the furs and Looked over the sketch... I was
im pressed with This so far and could imagine just how good this
will look and will be for the animals... I also liked The idea
of the Loft for storage of the hays.. and feed.... plus it would
be the perfect place for The stable Boy......I lay on My belly
and My fingers cupped my chin as I read what the builder had
written on the sides of The sketch and Nodded agreeing with the
written comments.....I had worked hard to have this farm up and
running it had been my aim for a Long time How to Own an
operating farm...but i had planned it alot different to this
...We had planned not Just Me....but seems I had done it anyways
.....every word spoken and put in place... that dream that we
had seen.....I shrugged and didn't go there Walls were good
things and I had finally built them...I knew I was strong and
could make Distance...all I needed was time
I didn't look to the many scrolls I had received with dates and
times....they were lies...But now ashes in my fire... I was
stronger....and that only Pleased me.....for I had grown Weak
with Love.... but never again....Anyways I now had another
project in front of me and I would complete it like I had
everything else put to me....
In time I would have more land I would save and work hard.. and
One day i will purchase the fields that lay both sides of the
farm I now reside On.. and start Breeding Hurt for they live
naturally here and well I have been asked for There wool on many
occasions

says to ALL: I managed a smile for I did not think back past
today I had no Past...I didn't Need it anyways.... I had only
what tomorrow offered me....and i was excited to see what that
could be......Tis was me I was more then I had been I was
strong.... and yes i was convincing myself Just as i had done
before...But Now I knew differently....I sighed and sat rolling
The scroll slow so I could put it away for Now .. and tomorrow I
would start on the Next stage of my farm... I had Plenty of men
to help...and there women and slaves could prepare the food for
there evening meals ... so I had No problems with this ...I
would need the children to gather fresh water from the springs
so they had enough to keep The men fresh.....so many small
things to help Make the Day run smooth..... I had Had the lumber
delivered late In the past hand... so If they were to get that
far the lumber was ready,,,, I would begin to cut the longer
grass and begin to dry it.... so I can have part of the roof
Thatched.... I had been told this was good for ventilation
....anyways my thoughts were ahead of myself for Now... I moved
from the cot and placed the scrolls on the desk....ready for
tomorrow and Moved out side to get a blackwine before I retired
for the day
I stood On the porch and Looked Over the Vosk... I was
lucky...... I had The Most amazing view....the Breeze chilled
the area and that smell of salt filled my lungs......I had grown
to Love the water....and here..... it was the Place Of Odins
dreams.... and I enjoyed them with Him.....

says to ALL: I moved down the three steps slow Just watching and
thinking....I enjoyed talking to myself for I always told myself
what I wanted and needed to hear I could fancy it up or be Real
hard on Myself....either way I got the answer i wanted ...and
that could only be a good thing.....Brutus came to my
thoughts....why I didn't Know....probably cause everyone wanted
him as a rug...yet he was the one filling the coin pouches....my
money Making scheme finally was working... The Interest in My
vulo and ver was happening all I needed was to keep the supply
up.... I had thought so Much on the offer to purchase land or
rent in other homes and wondered if that could be a good Move on
The Business side of the venture...I would save so much time in
travels and stress... again I needed to sit and work out the
pros and cons....I picked up my Mug from the stones round the
fires and filled it with Blackwine.... then made my way to the
jetty.....slowly along the sand....my boots making that terrible
squeegeeing sound Only leather and sand made... soon My feet
moved to the wooden decks of the jetty and i made my way to the
end...and sat...my feet almost touching the waters surface...
and I growled ....
"I must ask Tyren On My Ship that went missing"[/center]

says to ALL: Finally the day had come.... as I stood On the
verandah and Looked Out Over the area that Had been set out for
the Barn.....to the right f The front door of The hut and
towards The front of The property was a huge area ...it had been
cleared ....holes had been dug for the footings and the huge
poles had been put in the four corners....and Three More On each
side ...this Made the barn quiet a Huge barn for a small
property... I held out the Plans for The structure and had to
grin at all That had been down whilst I had been away.... the
Builder I had employed was on track with his work....I could ask
for no more......
I rolled up the plans and Made my way down the steps and over to
The area..... and spoke softly to The Builder....I didn't want
him to think Me some forceful FW when it came to the structure
of This barn...But I made sure he made it how I wanted it for
the coin I was being charged ..... I pointed Out some things I
thought Might Be wrong....and asked about a Million questions...
nagged a Little then Rolled out the plans just to check what He
had just said was right....I dunno I didn't Think Him to be so
rude....but when He asked to be allowed to get back to what he
did...and Really had no time to speak with me...I was rather
insulted.....anyways.... I then headed off to check my ver....
I moved round the fences checking There had been No breaks...
and pushed at The fences that had been bucked by the verr....
soon they would be allowed to Graze alone But for Now they would
stay in the fields....fertilizing the turned soil That when I
had finished building the Barn....well I May grow some
produce....maybe... I would see

says to ALL: My fingers ran My chin...as I watched the ver and
began to count.... I would Need to concentrate on getting
More....if this Trade went through All theses here bar The
Babies and breeders would be gone....But I had many at other
Places Breeding with different lines.... I was very pleased at
The lean animals and I had been told the Meat was very tasty....
I nodded slow....I tried My best to fill My time with Business
and work...I hated to think...and Make plans for they always
fell apart when it came to Me....But I was happy with all I had
been getting done... I would have the best working farm....I was
determined about this....My thoughts went Back to the trip home
from The City last night and the feelings I felt....as if
something had been stalking kitty and I home.... maybe i was
paranoid...but I hoped I was to smart for that.... I brushed
that from my thoughts and would speak with Ol Josh when I saw
Him next....I had far to many vulos and needed to sell them
off...I looked Back and watched How the Men roped Up That Huge
Log and all began to Hoist it On rope ....till it was
standing.....and they secured it with Rocks and dirt.... filling
the hole and smashing the rocks hard ...compounding them to keep
that Log from falling....

says to ALL: I then Placed The Plans in One of the baskets on
the Porch and Tugged My Hair back securing It with a leather
strapping from My Belt and Moved On Over to help with The
Filling in of the hole.....starting to Lift some of The rocks
and throwing Them in the Hole....the Men slamming down heavy
Bars to smash the rocks .... Over and Over....as the hole was
filled..... Other Men were preparing to raise the next pole...
I wiped my brow with the sleeve of My tunic... and Moved to the
Next hole and began to repeat filling the hole again...Over and
Over.....there were many here helping but another hand was
always a good thing

says to ALL: As one pole was secured another was pulled up to
settle in the hole and it was filled with stone and compounded
everyone worked in unison and in time all 8 poles were now
standing ....the Builder was now moving round having the skilled
in woodwork secure and Brace the poles....I looked Over to see
The women Of the Farm....thatching sticks to Make the Bracing
for the Mud to be secured to... I hated making That stuff so
remained helping with The moving Of the rocks and Dirt..... Was
not Long and I had done enough... and Moved over to One of The
water Barrels and filled a Mug and drank it down....calling to
one of the slaves to get The men and Ladies water.....[/center]

says to ALL: I had Been away for some days and was Eager to
Return to see how My Barn had come along... Many men had been
employed to get the structure up and finished before the Next
shipment of ver arrived....
I moved along the Main road to the farm and could See The nest
of trees that hid the farm from the Road..... and was not long I
was then walking along the path That leg to the farm... was when
I passed through the Trees that I saw the Structure... I stopped
and Looked It over...I was totally impressed at How Quickly The
barn had come together and How Big it was...maybe because The
Hut was Much smaller... I moved over ...
Ol Josh was Leaning on a shovel as I moved closer and stood
beside Him... He knew I was there ...he Knew I was Impressed...
and turned and Looked to me...
" Not Bad Ny"?
I nodded....pointing to the huge opening at the Front...."When
do the doors go on?"
"By the time you get delivery of The next shipment....your Barn
Plus the doors will be done..."
I nodded a slow nod and Just smiled..."Excellent ol
